Tourism is one of the activities carried out by humans that has a purpose as entertainment. Human who travel are referred to as tourist. West Sumatra Province is one of the regions with the best tourism is sea tourism and land tourism. Marine tourism consists of beach tourism, island tourism and lake tourism, while mainland tourism consists of tourist panorama, mountain tours, hill tours and others. However, only a portion of West Sumatra's tourist attractions are known to tourists, because of this information is obtained so that there are still many tourist attractions in West Sumatra unknown to tourists from outside the West Sumatra region. To overcome this problem, a system is needed that can be used to support the electoral decision-making process in West Sumatra. This system is built on the Web, using the PHP programming language and Laravel Framework and MySQL as a Database. The method used in this system is the Elimination of Et Choix Traduisant la Realite (ELECTRE). The use of Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la REalite (ELECTRE) can help provide information in West Sumatra, which is in accordance with the wishes of tourists according to the specified criteria. With the help of this system, the information obtained will make it easier for tourists to find tourist attractions.

Over five million people in the United States are diagnosed with some form of dementia, and many more with cognitive impairment remain undiagnosed. In addition, most individuals with dementia experience one or more neuropsychiatric symptoms such as depression, anxiety, irritability, agitation, hallucinations, or delusions at some point during disease progression. The vast majority of individuals with dementia, including those with symptoms of serious mental illness, are cared for in home and community based settings by unpaid caregivers, often family members, who struggle with the daily challenges of providing care and services to someone with dementia. This article will briefly review selected aspects of the need for community care for individuals with dementia and cultural aspects related to dementia and mental health. A detailed case study will illustrate some of the challenges related to the mental health of individuals with dementia living in the community. We specifically discuss culturally competent care, using the example of a Nepalese refugee family caring for a family member with dementia and depression, as a critical aspect of the care plan. Finally, we provide implications for practice for organizations wishing to engage families in a comprehensive system of home-based dementia care.

The National Tourism Conference in 2010 strongly promoted the concept of energy conservation and emission reduction in the tourism industry. Since then, low carbon travel has been the new direction in tourism industry. Great concern has been put on energy conservation and emission reduction of tourism related elements, such as hotels, transportations, tourist attractions, and most importantly, the tourists themselves. The quantitative assessment of tourist carbon footprint is the key topic. This research uses Yesanpo scenic area as the example and conducts the comparison and calculation of tourist carbon footprint from different places, attempts to organize different ideas on ways to analyze tourist carbon footprints, constructs a calculation and assessment model, analyzes and measures the levels of tourist carbon footprints from diverse modes of travel, origins, and purchasing power. This research has developed a system for quantitative assessment of tourist carbon footprints, with the hope of strengthening the theories and methods on low-carbon travel.

Abstract Scientists inform us that the industrialised epoch has caused climate breakdown and ecological collapse that threaten human survival. These facts impose a sense of urgency on us to understand that our modern ways of living have created these problems and that we must find ways to resolve them. Communities need to come to terms with the damage that industrialisation has caused to ecology, adapt to the climatic consequences that have been unleashed, and adopt more sustainable ways of living. Yet, the scale of this crisis and lack of wisdom to act can be numbing, so how can communities become more informed and motivated to take action? This paper proposes a performative, practice-led approach to generate discrete engagement strategies that enliven public attention towards changing attitudes, developing more holistic behaviours and adopting mitigative actions. Such engagements are relatable, values-oriented and framed towards the priorities, knowledges, capacities, and lived experiences of rurally-based, intergenerational communities. This novel approach is exemplified in a case study on community food growing that successfully achieved decarbonisation targets. Public engagement was developed through the strategic promotion of embodied community knowledges (ECK) to engender and intensify a sense of ability to respond and act. A series of decarbonisation projects were designed to engage and mobilise local participation through the practical, adaptive capacities that lay within the community. Findings revealed that valuing a community’s existing body of knowledge and revitalising that knowledge as a method of climate change engagement increased the potential for attentive, effective, and committed community-based actions.

An increase in the number of tourists can boost the economic prosperity of tourist attractions; over-development or over-utilization of a tourist attraction will lead to the consumption of tourism resources and reduce recreational quality. This study used relevant studies on ecotourism and recreational carrying capacity and applied the Delphi-fuzzy analytic hierarchy process to identify the critical factors affecting the recreational carrying capacity of the Hualien Qixingtan coastal recreational areas, including 4 primary factors, namely, recreational environment, natural landscape, coastal animals and plants, and cultural assets, and 13 secondary factors, such as public infrastructure. The research results can be provided as reference for relevant government authorities and operators to develop measures taking into account both the resource conservation and recreational management of coastal recreational areas.

A specific multi-tiered community-based system within urban Los Angeles can be used to create a particular cross cultural collaboration and leadership model. This chapter focuses on a case study where cross cultural aspects of collaboration and leadership exist and work together within a particular community. By analyzing the historical to present-day context of this community-based system, this chapter reveals a strong correlation with relevant theoretical framework and practice strategies from the interdisciplinary field of Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding (NCRP). The system for collaborating across difference presented within this chapter alludes to the capacity of effectively creating optimal solutions for educational and other organizational community development. It makes a proposal how a combination of certain collaborative dynamics and aspects of the field of NCRP have the capacity to create effective means of support for students in the public school system
