This paper examines how a Reversing voltage multilevel inverter (RVMLI) strategy is enforced to develop multilevel inverter fulfilment. This approach has been used SPWM-PD technique to regulate the electrical inverter. It desires numerous less range of carrier signals to deliver gate pulses of switches. Increasing within the levels during this strategy aid in reduction of output voltage harmonics expeditiously and improves power quality at output of the electrical inverter. It wants a lowered quantity of total switches, which is in a position to decreases of switching losses in this process. The Three-phase reversing voltage multilevel inverter of 7- level and 9- level is accomplished for R-load and R-L load and Three Phase Induction Motor. A reversing voltage multilevel inverter of 7- level and 9- level simulation is intended and developed. Mat lab/Simulink outcome is awarded to validate the proposed scheme.

This paper focused with extends the knowledge in studies and analysis of a new family of diode clamp multilevel inverter for electric vehicle application. The modified new diode clamp multilevel inverter concepts is related to reducing the components utilization, which has (n-1) switching devices, (n-3) clamping diodes, (n-1)/2 DC-link sources for achieving the same voltage level of traditional topologies. The proposed system is enhanced the voltage rating and reduce the total harmonics distortion in inverter output voltage. The switching scheme of Alternatively on Opposition Disposition pulse width modulation strategies is implemented to control multilevel inverter. The proposed system reduces the components utilization which has utilizes 45% of components for achieving the same level of voltage. The modified new diode clamp multilevel inverter is coupled with induction motor and its performance is validated with three phase induction motor for variable frequency drive. The inverter topologies performance has been investigated by prototype model.


The use of Induction Motor (IM) has been increased becuase of it’s robust construction , simple design , and low cost . This paper presents a methodology for the application and performance of Fuzzy like PI Controller to set the frequency of Space Vector Pulse-Width modualtion (SVPWM) Inverter applied to closed loop speed control of IM. When the controller is used with current controller, the quadratic component of stator current is estimated by the controller. Instead of using current controller, this paper proposes estimating the frequency of stator voltage. The dyanamic modelling of the IM is presented by dq axis theory. From the simulation results, the superiority of the suggested controller can be observed in controlling the speed of the three-phase IM.

Induction motors are widely used in industrial processes, vehicles and automation. Three-phase induction motors can be used for traction systems on electric locomotives. In this case, the speed control system is an important thing that must be applied to the propulsion system. This study aimed to test the indirect torque control for a Three-phase induction motor. A proportional integral (PI) controller was applied for speed controller. The indirect torque control system was modeled and simulated using PSIM software. According to the result, the control method showed a good performance. The speed could be maintained even the speed reference was changing or a load was applied. The steady state error of the speed response was just 0.1% with rise time around 0.06 s. The stator current went up to 39.5 A in starting condition. The stator current reached 12 A rms when the load of 10 Nm was applied. Then, the current rose to 15.7 A rms when the load was increased to 40 Nm and the current came down to 12.8 A rms when the load was decreased to 20 Nm.

Three-phase induction motor (TIM) is widely used in industrial application like paper mills, water treatment and sewage plants in the urban area. In these applications, the speed of TIM is very important that should be not varying with applied load torque. In this study, direct on line (DOL) motor starting without controller is modelled to evaluate the motor response when connected directly to main supply. Conventional PI controller for stator direct current and stator quadrature current of induction motor are designed as an inner loop controller as well as a second conventional PI controller is designed in the outer loop for controlling the TIM speed. Proposed combined PI-lead (CPIL) controllers for inner and outer loops are designed to improve the overall performance of the TIM as compared with the conventional controller. In this paper, dynamic adjustment grasshopper optimization algorithm (DAGOA) is proposed for tuning the proposed controller of the system. Numerical results based on well-selected test function demonstrate that DAGOA has a better performance in terms of speed of convergence, solution accuracy and reliability than SGOA. The study results revealed that the currents and speed of TIM system using CPIL-DAGOA are faster than system using conventional PI and CPIL controllers tuned by SGOA. Moreover, the speed controller of TIM system with CPIL controlling scheme based on DAGOA reached the steady state faster than others when applied load torque.
