In this paper, we use discriminative objective equations to conduct an in-depth study and analysis of face recognition methods in teaching attendance and use the model in actual teaching attendance. It focuses on the design and implementation of the attendance module, which uses wireless network technology to record students’ access to classrooms in real time, and relies on face recognition technology to identify students’ sign-in images to achieve attendance records of students’ independent attendance sign-in. Real-time detection of student attendance is achieved by combining face detection and face recognition technology through regular camera photography and automatic attendance check-in by the server. Based on the recognition results of the attendance check-in image, an attendance mechanism is proposed, and the attendance score of the student for the current course can be calculated using the attendance mechanism, which realizes the automatic management of student attendance. For the face recognition process, the system uses the Ad boost algorithm based on Hear features to achieve face detection, preprocesses the face samples with gray normalization, rotation correction, and size correction, and uses the method based on LBP features to achieve face recognition. Firstly, a combination of histogram equalization and wavelet denoising is chosen to preprocess the training sample images to obtain the face image light invariance description, and then, the initial dictionary is constructed using the dimensionality reduction performance of the PCA method; next, the initial dictionary is updated, and a new dictionary with representation and discrimination capabilities is obtained using the LC-KSVD algorithm that makes improvements in the dictionary update stage. The sparse coefficients of the feature matrix of the test sample image under the new dictionary are calculated, and the class correlation reconstruction is performed on the feature matrix of the test sample image, and the corresponding reconstruction error is solved; finally, the discriminative classification of the test sample image is achieved according to the solved class correlation reconstruction error. The relevant experiments on the face database prove that the algorithm can improve the recognition accuracy to a certain extent and better solve the influence of changing lighting conditions on the face recognition accuracy.

Face recognition is a challenging task for the researches. It is very useful for personal verification and recognition and also it is very difficult to implement due to all different situation that a human face can be found. This system makes use of the face recognition approach for the computerized attendance marking of students or employees in the room environment without lectures intervention or the employee. This system is very efficient and requires very less maintenance compared to the traditional methods. Among existing methods PCA is the most efficient technique. In this project Holistic based approach is adapted. The system is implemented using MATLAB and provides high accuracy.

Face recognition plays a vital role in security purpose. In recent years, the researchers have focused on the pose illumination, face recognition, etc,. The traditional methods of face recognition focus on Open CV’s fisher faces which results in analyzing the face expressions and attributes. Deep learning method used in this proposed system is Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Proposed work includes the following modules: [1] Face Detection [2] Gender Recognition [3] Age Prediction. Thus the results obtained from this work prove that real time age and gender detection using CNN provides better accuracy results compared to other existing approaches.

The number of times students attend lectures has been identified as one of many success factors in the learning process in many studies. We proposed a framework of the student attendance system by using face recognition as authentication. Triplet loss embedding in FaceNet is suitable for face recognition systems because the architecture has high accuracy, quite lightweight, and easy to implement in the real-time face recognition system. In our research, triplet loss embedding shows good performance in terms of the ability to recognize faces. It can also be used for real-time face recognition for the authentication process in the attendance recording system that uses RFID. In our study, the performance for face recognition using k-NN and SVM classification methods achieved results of 96.2 +/- 0.1% and 95.2 +/- 0.1% accordingly. Attendance recording systems using face recognition as an authentication process will increase student attendance in lectures. The system should be difficult to be faked; the system will validate the user or student using RFID cards using facial biometric marks. Finally, students will always be present in lectures, which in turn will improve the quality of the existing education process. The outcome can be changed in the future by using a high-resolution camera. A face recognition system with facial expression recognition can be added to improve the authentication process. For better results, users are required to perform an expression instructed by face recognition using a database and the YOLO process.

The Face recognition and image or video recognition are popular research topics in biometric technology. Real-time face recognition is an exciting field and a rapidly evolving issue. Key component analysis (PCA) may be a statistical technique collectively called correlational analysis . The goal of PCA is to scale back the massive amount of knowledge storage to the dimensions of the functional space required to render the face recognition system. The wide one-dimensional pixel vector generated from the two-dimensional image of the face and therefore the basic elements of the spatial function are designed for face recognition using PCA. this is often the projection of your own space. Sufficient space is decided by the brand. specialise in the eigenvectors of the covariance matrix of the fingerprint image collection. i'm building a camera-based real-time face recognition system and installing an algorithm. Use OpenCV, Haar Cascade, Eigen face, Fisher Face, LBPH and Python for program development.

The proposed system generally results a solution to some of the problems which occurs in colleges and schools by providing a monitoring camera with the help of “Artificial Intelligence (AI)” . The main problem which can be occurred is wastage of time in taking the attendance manually or through any biometric sensors. The next problem which can be solved is to control the usage of electricity in classrooms when students are not in class. When the videos are getting recorded with the help of monitoring cameras, at the same time the head counting and face detection of the students present will also be done. When the strength of the class is zero ,the head counting also results to zero. The electricity can also be saved at the same time when people are not present in the classroom. The face recognition is the easiest process which can be done for marking the attendance, where the attendance is marked automatically. This process also helps to prevent the fake attendance. Face recognition and detection is generally based on line edge mapping to attain the identity of the student and also meets the wants of attendance in the universities and schools. The image of the student is to be captured and checked with the database simultaneously and marks the attendance of the particular student. The video gets recorded all the time and checks whether the student remains in class for the entire period. The attendance marking system with the help of technology is very essential for both the teachers and students.

This paper presents a real-time face recognition system. For the system to be real time, no external time-consuming feature extraction method is used, rather the gray-level values of the raw pixels that make up the face pattern are fed directly to the recognizer. In order to absorb the resulting high dimensionality of the input space, support vector machines (SVMs), which are known to work well even in high-dimensional space, are used as the face recognizer. Furthermore, a modified form of polynomial kernel (local correlation kernel) is utilized to take account of prior knowledge about facial structures and is used as the alternative feature extractor. Since SVMs were originally developed for two-class classification, their basic scheme is extended for multiface recognition by adopting one-per-class decomposition. In order to make a final classification from several one-per-class SVM outputs, a neural network (NN) is used as the arbitrator. Experiments with ORL database show a recognition rate of 97.9% and speed of 0.22 seconds per face with 40 classes.
