Agricultural technology innovation is key for improving productivity, sustainability, and resilience in food production and agriculture to contribute to public health. Using panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2003 to 2015, this study examines the impact of rural financial development on agricultural technology innovation from the perspective of rural financial scale and rural finance efficiency. Furthermore, it examines how the effects of rural financial development vary in regions with different levels of marketization and economic development. The empirical results show that the development of rural finance has a significant and positive effect on the level of agricultural technology innovation. Rural finance efficiency has a significantly positive effect on innovation in regions with a low degree of marketization, while the rural financial scale has a significantly positive effect on technological innovation in regions with a high degree of marketization. Further analysis showed that improving the level of agricultural technology innovation is conducive to rural economic development. This study provides new insights into the effects of rural financial development on sustainable agricultural development from the perspective of agricultural technology innovation.

This study aims to: (1) mapping the distribution pattern of the application of agricultural technology innovation specific locations, (2) determine the critical success factors distribution application of agricultural technology innovation specific locations, (3) improvement of distribution patterns and acceleration of the adoption and diffusion of technological innovations to support agribusiness and agroindustrial rice, sweet potatoes and soybeans in Papua. The research activities carried out during March 2011 to February 2014 using three approaches (methods), namely (1) Desk Study on the SL- PTT rice, soybean and sweet potato (2) surveys to obtain quantitative data in three districts purposively selected with 10- 20 respondents, (3) the application pattern of diffusion through the demonstration of quality seeds of rice, corn and soybeans in the BPP or a farmer seed sources in three selected districts.Agronomic data were tabulated and analyzed descriptively. Analysis of the level of efficiency in the application of technology used indicator plots the balance receiptsand fees or analysis of R / C ratio. To measure the success of the application of technological innovations in the plots need to set performance indicators, covering aspects of the use of inputs, processes, outputs, outcomes, benefits and impacts. The results show that the dissemination of technological innovations for the development of location-specific agricultural commodities of rice, corn, soybean and sweet potato, has spread in most regions crop farming development centers in Papua. But only concentrated around the transmigration settlement area. New varieties of soybean plants yielding seeds and rice showed better productivity than the old varieties that have been repeatedly planted by farmers. Yielding varieties of maize is being introduced less developed because it is still constrained by marketing, if the market is readily available, farmers are willing to develop it.

This research was carried out to know the status of agricultural technology innovation used by farmers in lowland swamps and formulate policy recommendations for relevant stakeholders in land management for sustainable farming. The study was conducted using a survey method with a structured questionnaire and focus group discussion in 5 villages in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, with a total of 48 respondents. The results showed that the main commodity cultivated by farmers in lowlands was rice, where the agricultural technology innovation used was still limited to the use of superior varieties, while the use of other technologies was still low which resulted in low farm productivity. The causes of limited use of agricultural technology innovations include poorly organized land conditions and high-water levels in the land that make it difficult for equipment operations, narrow land area per farmer, limited infrastructure for mobility of agricultural machinery, limited capital, and low educational level of the main actors. Some of the proposed recommendations are improving cultivation technology, especially fertilization according to nutrient status and yield targets, land and water management, using mechanical devices as needed, and increasing the role of related institutions.

Adoption process of effective agricultural technology innovation requires various forms and channels of communication between users. Personal communication between individuals and communication in small groups (farmers’ group) are two forms of communication that has been used as a mainstay in agricultural extension activities. Personal communication usually occurs horizontally between farmers, and vertically between farmers and agricultural extension officers. Personal communication between farmers can take place outside and also within farmers’ groups. This paper is a review of various theories and research results regarding the importance of communication in small groups. The results showed that communication in small groups becomes an important component in delivering information materials, i.e. technology and other information. In the group, in addition to ongoing communication, it is also a place of performing discussion and learning among peasants, as well as a unit of decision for unity of action in adopting technology.

Based on the perspective of the value chain of agricultural science and technology innovation, in this paper, we divided the process of agricultural science and technology innovation into two stages: the Research and Development (R&D) of agricultural technology and the application of agricultural technology. We took the efficiency of agricultural science and technology innovation of the two stages as a comprehensive index measure for the development of agricultural science and technology innovation in China. On this basis, we used social network analysis to establish a two-stage spatial correlation network for the innovation development of agricultural science and technology in China. The spatial-temporal evolution trends, structural characteristics, and influencing factors of the network were analyzed from the three aspects of the overall, local, and individual network structure. The results show that: a. The development of agricultural science and technology innovation in China demonstrated a clear spatial correlation and spillover effect, and the spatial correlation network was in a connected state. b. The network had the distribution characteristics of ‘core-edge’ and strong stability, and the hierarchical structure of the members of each province in the network was gradually broken. c. The differences at the market level in agricultural science and technology, the differences in government support for agriculture, the geographically adjacent relationships, and the level of agricultural economic development were important factors affecting the spatial correlation of agricultural science and technology innovation. This study provides a policy reference to use a cross-regional coordinated development mechanism to solve the uneven and asymmetry problem of the distribution of elements in various regions in China.

The construction of a green technology innovation system should not only give attention to technological innovation, but also pay attention to the heterogeneity of the enterprise itself. Therefore, from the dual perspectives of environmental regulation and corporate heterogeneity, we analyze the impact of corporate green technology innovation and believe that building a market-oriented green technology innovation system requires improving green development efficiency, promoting green technology R&D and application, and strengthening the combination of policy tools. Thus to support green transformation and development.
