It is very important to accurately determine the location of the lesion in order to accurately excise the tumor area in the breast tissue. The method used to determine the location of the lesion should not only contribute to the precise excision of the lesion, but also help to minimize the loss of healthy tissue during the excision procedure. In addition, the product applied in the localization method to be used before the excision procedure contributes to the success of the operation, as well as the low possibility of complications, contribution to patient satisfaction, ease of application for the practitioner, cost, time saving, ease of coordination and planning between different departments, and reduction of repetition. supplies. However, different localization methods have advantages and disadvantages compared to each other. At this point, the authorized doctor determines the localization method to be applied before the excision of the breast tissue, considering the advantages and disadvantages of different methods. In this study, the method of marking with I-125 Seed, which is used to determine the location of the lesion before excision of the tumor area in the breast tissue, was mentioned and compared with the method of marking with wire, which is an alternative application.

Abstract A schwannoma is a tumor that develops on peripheral nerves or spinal roots. Although any part of the body can be affected, the breast is a quite unusual site for schwannomas. We report herein a case of schwannoma presenting as a breast tumor. In the current case, the tumor showed both clinically and mammographically as a well-defined breast mass. Of interest, sonographically, the well-defined mass appeared to be located in subcutaneous tissue, not in breast parenchyma, and this finding was confirmed histopathologically. These findings indicate the possibility that a schwannoma arising from subcutaneous breast tissue can show exophytic growth to the breast and appear as a breast tumor. In other words, our case implies the possible presence of a “pseudo” breast schwannoma.

Background and Study Aims Both general and local anesthesia are used in our department for carotid endarterectomy (CEA). The decision as to which anesthetic technique to use during surgery is made individually. The aim of our study was to evaluate patient satisfaction and preference with the anesthesia type used. Material and Methods The satisfaction of a group of 205 patients with regard to anesthesia used and their future preferences were evaluated prospectively through a questionnaire. The reasons for dissatisfaction were assessed. Results CEA was performed under general anesthesia (GA) in 159 cases (77.6%) and under local anesthesia (LA) in 46 cases (22.4%). In the GA group, 148 patients (93.1%) were satisfied; 30 patients (65.2%) in the LA group were satisfied (p < 0.0001). The reason for dissatisfaction with GA were postoperative nausea and vomiting (7 patients), postoperative psychological alteration (3), and fear of GA (1). The reasons for dissatisfaction with LA were intraoperative pain (9 patients), intraoperative discomfort and stress (5), and intraoperative breathing problems (2). Of the GA group, 154 (96.9%) patients would prefer GA again, and of the LA group, 28 (60.9%) patients would prefer LA if operated on again (p < 0.0001). Overall, 172 patients (83.9%) would prefer GA in the future, and 33 patients (16.1%) would prefer LA. Conclusion Overall patient satisfaction with CEA performed under both GA and LA is high. Nevertheless, in the GA group, patient satisfaction and future preference were significantly higher. Both GA and LA have advantages and disadvantages for CEA. An optimal approach is to make use of both anesthetic techniques based on their individual indications and patient preference.

A fibroadenoma is a benign fibroepithelial breast tumor arising from the terminal duct-lobular unit (TDLU), composed of epithelial and stromal elements. The overwhelming majority of fibroadenomas present as palpable or imaging-detected circumscribed masses showing sharp demarcation between the lesion and the adjacent breast tissue. Fibroadenomas are the most common benign breast tumor occurring in women, with a peak incidence in the third and fourth decades, but they can occur from childhood through the eight decade of life. This chapter, appearing in the section on asymmetry, mass, and distortion, reviews the key clinical and imaging features, differential diagnosis, and management recommendations for fibroadenomas.

Abstract Introduction Based on the level of the thumb loss, phalangization, toe-to-thumb transfer, pollicization, and distraction callotasis of the first metacarpal are the various options available for reconstruction. The aims of the study were to observe the length gained in the distraction process, duration of treatment required, functional recovery in the form of pinch strength, sensations, and patient satisfaction. Patients and Methods It was a prospective study of 10 patients of thumb amputation, conducted from January 2014 to July 2015. The patients’ age, mode of injury, level of amputation, and advantages and disadvantages of distraction callotasis were evaluated. Results The most common etiology of thumb loss was domestic accidents while working with a chaff cutter. The total duration of treatment was 124 (93–165) days and the mean gain in length was 25 (20–28) mm. The pinch strength increased from a mean of 0.91 to 2.06 kg, i.e., a 44.17% improvement from preoperative pinch strength. All of our patients retained their sensations of the reconstructed thumb post distraction. Conclusions Among many options for thumb reconstruction, distraction callotasis is a simple and safer option in the selective group of patients who are not keen on toe-to-thumb transfer which provide a significant improvement. The longer duration of treatment is the disadvantage associated with the need for proper counselling beforehand.

Program slicing is a program analysis and understanding of technology. Sequence fault localization refers to the use of specific methods for faults in the program. Currently, the research program fault positioning is more and more people's attention and gets some results which is the more mainstream software fault localization method. Program slicing technique currently used to locate the fault procedures, which primarily to take advantage of dynamic slicing technique. Based on the full analysis of the advantages and disadvantages on the basis of previous work, we propose a flexible slicing rule and give a new method based on the slicing rule.
