Introduction: Rasa Sindoora (Red Sulfide of Mercury) is a herbomineral preparation and a well-known Kupipakwa Rasayana kalpana. An equal ratio of Shodhita Parad (Purified Mercury) and Shodhita Gandhaka (Purified Sulphur) was used to prepare Rasa Sindoora. The form of preparation which was considered by Rasa Acharya to know the effect of minimizes dose for therapeutic purpose. To analyze the medicine the best way is to standardize it and after that analyse with standard and sophisticated instrumental techniques. Aims: To ensure and assess the quality of Rasa Sindoora through Namburi Phased Spot Test (NPST) analysis. Material and Method: To assess the quality with the standard monograph of NPST - 3 Papers of Potassium Iodide, Potassium Bromide and Haridra were prepared and identify the changes on all three papers by the action of prepared solution of Rasa Sindoora in freshly prepared aqua regia. Result: All three papers of Potassium Iodide, Potassium Bromide and Haridra showed a positive result in all three phases on comparing with the standard of NPST monograph. Keywords: Rasa Sindoora, KupipakwaRasayana, Namburi Phased Spot Test (NPST).

Reviewer Assignment Problem (RAP) is an important issue in peer-review of academic writing. This issue directly influences the quality of the publication and as such is the brickwork of scientific authentication. Due to the obvious limitations of manual assignment, automatic approaches for RAP is in demand. In this paper, we conduct a survey on those automatic approaches appeared in academic literatures. In this paper, regardless of the way reviewer assignment is structured, we formally divide the RAP into three phases: reviewer candidate search, matching degree computation, and assignment optimization. We find that current research mainly focus on one or two phases, but obviously, these three phases are correlative. For each phase, we describe and classify the main issues and methods for addressing them. Methodologies in these three phases have been developed in a variety of research disciplines, including information retrieval, artificial intelligence, operations research, etc. Naturally, we categorize different approaches by these disciplines and provide comments on their advantages and limitations. With an emphasis on identifying the gaps between current approaches and the practical needs, we point out the potential future research opportunities, including integrated optimization, online optimization, etc.

Abstract This study aimed to develop a method to assess experienced quality of care (QoC) in nursing homes from the resident’s perspective. A narrative approach “Facilitating Care” (FC) was developed based on the INDEXQUAL framework of experienced QoC and a needs assessment. FC assesses experienced QoC by training care professionals to perform individual conversations with residents, their family and their professional caregivers (triads) in another organization than where they are employed. FC consists of three phases: 1) training, 2) data collection and registration, and 3) analysis and reporting of the results. In 2018, 16 care professionals were trained and performed 148 conversations (47 residents, 44 family members, 57 professional caregivers) in 8 different nursing homes. Evaluation showed that FC teaches helpful conversation techniques and provides valuable insights into residents’ experienced QoC. Whilst the process was considered time consuming, all participants emphasized the added value of taking time for FC conversations.

Background. Wildlife management is becoming a more challenging problem throughout the world. One of the main difficulties it encounters is that residents tend to have ambivalent attitudes regarding whether wildlife should be eliminated or conserved. Aim. We made a consensus building gaming scenario for promoting creative solutions to wildlife management dilemmas. In this article, we aim to show the prerequisites for high performance of this gaming. Method. The gaming consists of three phases: a game playing phase, a presenting dilemma phase, and a game remodeling phase. The game playing phase consists of playing the game which is based on the actual wildlife management problem in Japan. Players can learn the difficulties of real wildlife management from the perspective of farmers. In presenting the dilemma phase, they are presented with the dilemma structure of wildlife problems and motivated to solve the dilemma. In the game remodeling phase, the players remodel the played game to design a new society wherein the residents can coexist successfully with wildlife. The remodeling phase is a kind of well-constructed debriefing process. With this game remodeling process, players can use their creativity for consensus building. Results. The gaming society functioned well especially for players with high pragmatic attitudes or those good at generating ideas especially through talking with others. Conclusion. The prerequisites for high performance of this gaming were verified. But further research is necessary for producing creative consensus building theory and objectively evaluating the quality of players’ ideas.

As the foremost conservationist in British Columbia from the late 1940s to the late 1960s, the internationally known fishing writer, magistrate, and naturalist Roderick Haig-Brown (1908-1976) fought conservation battles and promoted ecological ideas during a period of aggressive industrial expansion into the province'sresource frontier. This article explores Haig-Brown's conservation ideas and argues that they defy the often sharp categorization by historians of the philosophies underlying conservation and environmentalism. It identifies and discusses three phases in his conservation thought: the modern sportsman ethic, critical resourcism, and ethical conservation. Although he was born and raised in England, Haig-Brown developed his philosophy in the particular social, cultural, political, and environmental context of the mid-century Pacific Northwest. Subsequent readings of Haig-Brown as simply a romantic conservative ignore the dynamic quality of his ideas as they changed during his career. Like the American ecologist Aldo Leopold, Haig-Brown transcends the earlier, utilitarian conservation ideas and the ethical, nonmaterial values associated with environmentalism. This examination of his ideas suggests that the analysis of these movements as ideologically distinct or linearly developed obscures the importance of local variants and historical context.
