The diffusion approximation for a Boltzmann–Poisson system is studied. Nonlinear relaxation type collision operator is considered. A relative entropy is used to prove useful [Formula: see text]-estimates for the weak solutions of the scaled Boltzmann equation (coupled to Poisson) and to prove the convergence of the solution toward the solution of a nonlinear diffusion equation coupled to Poisson. In one dimension, a hybrid Hilbert expansion and the contraction property of the operator allow to exhibit a convergence rate.

International audience We build and analyze in this paper Markov chains for the random sampling of some one-dimensional lattice paths with constraints, for various constraints. These chains are easy to implement, and sample an "almost" uniform path of length $n$ in $n^{3+\epsilon}$ steps. This bound makes use of a certain $\textit{contraction property}$ of the Markov chain, and is proved with an approach inspired by optimal transport.

AbstractWe compute the distortion coefficients of the $$\alpha $$ α -Grushin plane. They are expressed in terms of generalised trigonometric functions. Estimates for the distortion coefficients are then obtained and a conjecture of a measure contraction property condition for the generalised Grushin planes is suggested.

Pervious concrete is one kind of porous concrete which has skeleton structure. In this test the recycled coarse aggregate replacement ratio is 30%, by using recycled coarse aggregate which through high quality processing replaces ordinary coarse aggregate and adding PVA fiber (the mass of PVA fiber respectively are 0%, 0.5%, 1.0% and 1.5% of the cement), the influences of PVA fiber on the strength, effective porosity and permeable coefficient of porous concrete are studied. Besides, the dry shrinkage property and temperature contraction property of porous concrete are discussed. The results can provide the basis for the design and application of the recycled coarse aggregate porous concrete.
