Abstract The Liza Phase 1 development project features the Liza Destiny Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, moored 190 km offshore Guyana in 1,743 m (5,719 ft) of water, and four subsea drill centers supporting 17 wells. Not only was this a Greenfield development that required an integrated team to prepare for Operations; it was also located in a New Frontier that required development of logistics and marine infrastructure to support multi drillship and FPSO operations in challenging metocean and tidal conditions. In addition, early operations and production testing was further complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic and safety protocols put in place to keep the workforce safe. Three aspects of achieving First Oil are discussed, highlighting challenges and lessons learned: Managing subsea completions, well cleanup, and flow assurance while drilling was ongoing Enabling accurate data collection from Multi-Phase Flow Meters (MPFMs) and downhole pressure gauges, which was critical to developing foundational understanding of well performance for reservoir characterization and management Establishing an integrated asset team and workflows to ensure life cycle value capture by managing complex marine operations, commissioning, and surveillance while meeting stringent COVID-19 protocols Lessons learned from Destiny Operations will be incorporated into future projects, including a robust digital strategy centered on a fiber ring to shore, which will enable high-speed communications for future FPSOs, and an onshore integrated operations control center for improvement of long-term operations. Early understanding of reservoir connectivity and performance from data collection will continue to inform the reservoir management strategy so as to maximize asset value for the country of Guyana.

Abstract Gravel packing in a multilayer reservoir during an infill development project requires treating each zone individually, one after the other, based on reservoir characterization. This paper discusses the installation of an enhanced 7-in. multizone system to achieve both technical and operational efficiency, and the lessons learned that enabled placement of an optimized high-rate water pack (HRWP) in the two lower zones and an extension pack in the uppermost zone. This new approach helps make multizone cased-hole gravel-pack (CHGP) completions a more technically viable and cost-effective solution. Conventional CHGPs are limited to either stack-pack completions, which can incur high cost because of the considerable rig time required for multizone operations, or alternate-path single-trip multizone completions that treat all the target zones simultaneously, with one pumping operation. However, this method does not allow for individual treatment to suit reservoir characterization. The enhanced 7-in. multizone system can significantly reduce well completion costs and pinpoint the gravel placement technique for each zone, without pump-rate limitations caused by excessive friction in the long interval system, and without any fiuid-loss issues after installation because of the modular sliding side-door (SSD) screen design feature. A sump packer run on wireline acts as a bottom isolation packer and as a depth reference for subsequent tubing-conveyed perforating (TCP) and wellbore cleanup (WBCU) operations. All three zones were covered by 12-gauge wire-wrapped modular screens furnished with blank pipe, packer extension, and straddled by two multizone isolation packers between the zones, with a retrievable sealbore gravel-pack packer at the top. The entire assembly was run in a single trip, therefore rig time optimization was achieved. The two lower zones were treated with HRWPs, while the top zone was treated with an extension pack. During circulation testing on the lowermost zone, high pumping pressure was recorded, and after thorough observation of both pumping parameters and tool configuration, it was determined that the reduced inner diameter (ID) in the shifter might have been a causal factor, thereby restricting the flow area. This was later addressed with the implementation of a perforated pup joint placed above the MKP shifting tool. The well was completed within the planned budget and time and successfully put on sand-free production, exceeding the field development planning (FDP) target. The enhanced 7-in. multizone system enabled the project team to beat the previous worldwide track record, which was an HRWP treatment only. As a result of proper fluid selection and rigorous laboratory testing, linear gel was used to transport 3 ppa of slurry at 10 bbl/min, resulting in a world-first extension pack with a 317-lbm/ft packing factor.

Более 10 лет персонал Центральной диспетчерской службы предприятия использует данное программное обеспечение в своей работе. Разработка и применение собственных программ позволяет вносить необходимые коррективы в течение всего периода их использования, что обеспечивает максимальную простоту и удобство для работы пользователей. Рассмотрен порядок работы с несколькими программами: приведены виды окон, отображаемых на мониторе пользователя отражена пошаговая последовательность работы диспетчера с программой указаны дополнительные функции программ, позволяющие оптимизировать отдельные производственные процессы деятельности персонала диспетчеров. На основе представленных материалов возможно создание собственных аналогичных продуктов с учетом индивидуальной специфики предприятий водопроводно-канализационного хозяйства. Работа в этом направлении позволит гарантированно оптимизировать работу персонала диспетчерской и других служб, процессы взаимодействия различных подразделений внутри предприятия, а также предприятия с потребителями.A review of software products developed by a group of specialists from various services and departments of Vodokanal LLC, in Novokuznetsk is presented. For more than 10 years, the staff of the operations control center of the enterprise has been using this software in their work. The development and application of self-developed software provides for making the necessary adjustments throughout the entire period of its use to ensure maximum simplicity and friendliness for users. The procedure of using several software products is considered: the types of windows displayed on the users monitor are given the step-by-step sequence of the operational managers work with the software is reflected additional functions of the software are indicated that allow upgrading separate actions of the personnel of the operations control center. On the basis of the information presented self-development of similar software is possible provided the specific features of water and wastewater utilities are considered. Further research in this direction will allow reliable upgrading the activities of the personnel of the operations control center and other services, improving the interaction of various departments within the enterprise, as well as the consumer relations.

ObjectiveTo present a costing study integrated within the DeWorm3 multi-country field trial of community-wide mass drug administration (cMDA) for elimination of soil-transmitted helminths.DesignTailored data collection instruments covering resource use, expenditure and operational details were developed for each site. These were populated alongside field activities by on-site staff. Data quality control and validation processes were established. Programmed routines were used to clean, standardise and analyse data to derive costs of cMDA and supportive activities.SettingField site and collaborating research institutions.Primary and secondary outcome measuresA strategy for costing interventions in parallel with field activities was discussed. Interim estimates of cMDA costs obtained with the strategy were presented for one of the trial sites.ResultsThe study demonstrated that it was both feasible and advantageous to collect data alongside field activities. Practical decisions on implementing the strategy and the trade-offs involved varied by site; trialists and local partners were key to tailoring data collection to the technical and operational realities in the field. The strategy capitalised on the established processes for routine financial reporting at sites, benefitted from high recall and gathered operational insight that facilitated interpretation of the estimates derived. The methodology produced granular costs that aligned with the literature and allowed exploration of relevant scenarios. In the first year of the trial, net of drugs, the incremental financial cost of extending deworming of school-aged children to the whole community in India site averaged US$1.14 (USD, 2018) per person per round. A hypothesised at-scale routine implementation scenario yielded a much lower estimate of US$0.11 per person treated per round.ConclusionsWe showed that costing interventions alongside field activities offers unique opportunities for collecting rich data to inform policy toward optimising health interventions and for facilitating transfer of economic evidence from the field to the programme.Trial registration numberNCT03014167; Pre-results.
