Heterocyclic compounds are indispensable organic structures because of their promising potential applications in medicinal, pharmaceutical and other related fields of chemistry. Exploring these heterocyclic compounds by evaluating metal nanoparticles as efficient nanocatalysts have attracted the researchers over the past decades, due to their stability, recyclability, reusability rather than conventional catalysts. Most of the nano-catalyzed organic reactions are taking place in benign and under green conditions. In this mini-review, we have documented synthesis of some of the recent N-containing heterocyclic compounds by utilizing advanced nanoparticles as effective catalysts. It has been concluded that exercising these nanocatalysts for the synthesis of N-containing heterocyclic compounds not only enhanced the yield of the product but has extensively increased the selectivity of the desired products via greener approach.

This study including prepared new colored esters containing heterocyclic with high molecular weights. In the first part of work we synthesized azo dyes [1,2] from the reaction p-toluidine with β-naphthol and o-nitro phenol, thin we synthesized Schiff bases [3,4] by the reaction anthranilic acid with benzaldehyde and dimethyl benzaldehyde. The reaction azo dyes (contain OH group) with Schiff base (contain COOH group) these led to produce the new colored esters [A1-A4]. The second part of work was modification the (C=N-) group in esters to heterocyclic compounds by reacting with phenyl iso cyanide to produce new β-lactam [B1-B4] and with anthranilic acid to get new hydroquinazoline [C1-C4]. All these compounds were characterized by physical properties and spectral methods FTIR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR.

The photocatalytic microchip was demonstrated as an efficient platform of the photocatalytic organic reactions, which features an easy control of the reaction time and light conditions. We demonstrated the photocatalytic decarboxylation and the following adduct reaction inside the microchip and successfully achieved high yields of the products.
