The paper discusses certain aspects of restructuring enterprises and presents different ways and measures applicable for restructuring companies; they are divided and grouped according to certain qualities. In scientific literature, measures for restructuring enterprises are most frequently classified according to organizational, legal, financial and strategic aspects. For assessing the factor of the period, passive and active ways for transforming enterprises are often singled out, where the first one is usually applied when the response to ongoing negative changes is late and actions are limited by operative anti-crisis measures targeted for cutting expenses. When the active way to the transformation of enterprises is employed, the aim of assessing the total situation of the enterprise and newly forming its strategic potential is pursued. The measures for restructuring enterprises classified with reference to different aspects differ in their goals, contents and technologies of implementation. Variety in applicable measures is predetermined by a broad range of causes and goals, and the scope of restructuring enterprises depends on the abundance of sectors to be transformed to the enterprise. Choosing a way to restructuring enterprises is also affected by external and internal environmental factors. In practice, a combination of various ways for restructuring rather than a single one of those) is applied.

In the US, undeniable evidence shows that socioeconomic inequities explain a high proportion of individual differences in school achievement. Although not all countries show this same effect due to socioeconomic status, it is consistently found that social inequities lead to achievement gaps. These achievement gaps then manifest into trajectories that set some individuals on a path of lower incomes, poorer health and higher mortality, lower wellbeing, and other poor adult outcomes. Like Flynn (1999) so handily reminded the scientific literature that achievement gaps are explainable by environmental factors, the inequities we see around the world are based on environments some children are exposed to. In the same work, Flynn stated his belief that the suppression of scientific work on intelligence would continue to lead to social inequities. We wish to take this idea and move it forward. We believe that the scientific construct of intelligence plays a key role in helping create a more equitable society through science. We also believe that the poor perception of intelligence, rooted in historical realities, means that it will continue to be misunderstood, feared, and misused, limiting how effective it could be in helping to close gaps in achievement and in creating a more equitable society.

Anxiety is one of the most prevalent and costly mental disorders. A temperament style known as behavioral inhibition has been strongly linked to the later development of anxiety disorders. Behavioral inhibition appears early in toddlerhood and is characterized by extreme wariness in novel situations, particularly social situations. Although behavioral inhibition is relatively stable, not all behaviorally inhibited children develop an anxiety disorder. Environmental factors may contribute to the stability of behavioral inhibition, so identifying them can inform interventions to decrease the development of anxiety within this high-risk population. Scientific research using animal research models has identified both maternal and nonmaternal factors that may contribute to behavioral inhibition. High-quality maternal care, as well as exposure to new non–maternal care environments, particularly early in life, may buffer against the later development of anxiety in behaviorally inhibited children. Here, parallels are drawn between scientific literature from both animals and humans. Policy implications are briefly discussed.

Analysis of the Distribution of hotspots in the Novo Progresso Town, Pará, Brazil

Abstract: Fires are a major cause of damage to forest ecosystems. The aim of this study was to analyze the distribution of hotspots in the county of Novo Progresso, Pará, from 2010 to 2015 through data monitoring performed by reference satellites of the National Institute for Space Research. After organizing the information obtained through the Hotspots Database, analyses of socioeconomic and environmental factors that enhance the appearance of fire outbreaks were made with the assistance of scientific literature. It was observed that the outbreaks are concentrated in the northeastern area of the county along the BR-163, presenting higher occurrence in August and September, which may be related to the drought period of the city.

The article analyzes the concept, goals, and problems of conversion of abandoned industrial buildings and areas, as well as the benefit of successful conversion to urban development. The review of scientific literature allows claiming that the old industrial buildings are very attractive for investment. The article distinguishes the main types of conversion, and their characteristic features. The research describes environmental factors influencing conversion and develops the set of indicators to evaluate conversion. Different types of conversion projects are assessed applying the multi-criteria method WASPAS-G. It is established that the best of the projects is converting a building into a lofttype housing, which could give a significant positive impact on the urban and architectural environment and be environmentally friendly both during the production and exploitation period.

Objective: To gather scientific literature regarding the influence of the low activity of the enzyme Monoaminoxidase A, responsible for the regulation of brain neurotransmitters, on criminal and / or violent behavior. Methods: Searches were performed in the PubMed and SCOPUS databases using “genes”, “crime” and “monoaminoxidase”, selecting articles published between 2009 and 2019. Results: The selected sample, after applying the inclusion criteria and exclusion, was composed of 14 articles. Discussion: A relationship was found between low levels of activity of Monoaminoxidase A, when associated with socio-environmental factors, with a greater tendency to commit criminal and / or violent acts. Among the socio-environmental factors, the most cited is the experience of trauma in childhood. However, there were copyright disagreements, which demonstrates the need for further investigation and development of studies on the subject. Final considerations: It was found that individuals with low Monoaminoxidase A activity and who experienced stressful socioenvironmental factors are more prone to aggressive and / or violent behavior.

Preserving the hydration status means to balance daily fluids and salt losses with gains, where the losses depend on several physiological and environmental factors. Especially for athletes, these losses could be relevant and negatively influence the performance: therefore, their hydro-saline status must be preserved with personalized pre- and rehydration plans all along the performance period. Scientific literature in this field is mainly dedicated to artificial sport drinks. Different territories in most world areas are rich in drinking natural mineral spring waters with saline compositions that reflect their geological origin and that are used for human health (often under medical prescription). However, scarce scientific attention has been dedicated to the use of these waters for athletes. We therefore reviewed the existing literature from the innovative viewpoint of matching spring water mineral compositions with different athletic performances and their hydro-saline requirements.

The second wave of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in India, which commenced in March’21, continues to create a major crisis of medications, hospital beds, oxygen, and Intensive Care Units at very rapid rate which has placed the country on the verge of a humanitarian crisis. While no definite treatment for SARS-CoV-2 has been found, different types of vaccines have been manufactured which have shown some effectiveness in preventing disease progression and severity. The objective of this manuscript is to review the available data from the pandemic and highlight the factors that have contributed to the development of second wave in India which has led to crisis. In this review, using available scientific literature on various indexes such as PubMed, Google Scholar, Medline and news articles- where appropriate, we dive into understanding newer virus variants, vaccines and their effectiveness against new strains, overwhelming burden on the Indian healthcare system and socio-politico-environmental factors responsible for upsurge. The sudden upsurge in the number of cases is multifactorial, which includes virus variants, complacency in following COVID-19 appropriate behaviour, burden over the health care system, various socio-politico-environmental factors. As the definitive treatment is yet to be discovered, vaccination remains at the top.

Despite the fact that the scientific literature pays considerable attention to ensuring the investment attractiveness of national corporate bond markets based on macro-environmental factors, as well as individual companies – based on micro-environmental factors, the issue of optimizing the characteristics of corporate bonds in the prospectus remains insufficiently disclosed. However, coupon rate, price and maturity are the basic indicators that investors take into account when deciding to purchase corporate bonds, so they need more detailed research. approach to ensuring the issuance of investment-attractive corporate bonds, based on the use of indicators of companies with the highest level of demand on the stock market to build a matrix of coupon rate, price and maturity of corporate bond, the use of which allows to establish the optimal ratio between these characteristics. Enterprises issue corporate bonds to attract additional financial resources in their activities, so they are interested in ensuring the investment attractiveness of these securities. The investment attractiveness of corporate bonds depends on their own characteristics, as well as on micro- and macro-environmental factors. The most affordable way to ensure the investment attractiveness of corporate bonds is to establish the optimal characteristics of bonds in the prospectus. The companies whose corporate bonds are in the highest demand on the stock market have the optimal ratio between coupon rate, price and maturity. Determining the trend of ensuring a balance between these indicators of leading companies allows us to establish a model of decision-making by investors in a particular market of corporate bonds.
