Preserving the hydration status means to balance daily fluids and salt losses with gains, where the losses depend on several physiological and environmental factors. Especially for athletes, these losses could be relevant and negatively influence the performance: therefore, their hydro-saline status must be preserved with personalized pre- and rehydration plans all along the performance period. Scientific literature in this field is mainly dedicated to artificial sport drinks. Different territories in most world areas are rich in drinking natural mineral spring waters with saline compositions that reflect their geological origin and that are used for human health (often under medical prescription). However, scarce scientific attention has been dedicated to the use of these waters for athletes. We therefore reviewed the existing literature from the innovative viewpoint of matching spring water mineral compositions with different athletic performances and their hydro-saline requirements.

Abstract The aim of the research is to elaborate the model of factors influencing competitiveness of the Latvian fisheries sector cluster. Based on the studied scientific literature, the research provides an improved definition of the sector competitiveness and defines the factors influencing the competitiveness of the sector. As a result of the analysis, the author has discovered that there are several internal and external social, economic, political and environmental factors that influence the competitiveness of the Latvian fisheries sector cluster. It is advisable to the institutions involved in fisheries policy-making to take into account the identified factors, influencing the competitiveness, and their changes when making and improving the general policy of the sector.

For discriminating between human and animal faecal contamination in water, microbial source tracking (MST) approaches using different indicators have been employed. In the current study, a range of 10 such MST indicators described in the scientific literature were comparatively assessed. Bacteriophages infecting host strains of Bacteroides (GA-17, GB-124 and ARABA 84) as well as sorbitol-fermenting bifidobacteria proved useful for indicating human faecal contamination while Rhodococcus coprophilus was associated with animal-derived faecal contamination. These potential source indicators were present in samples of faecal origin, i.e. either in human wastewater or animal waste, from many different regions in Switzerland and therefore showed a geographic stability. In addition, the MST indicators were abundant in surface water and were even sensitive enough to detect faecal contamination in spring water from two study areas in Switzerland. This is the first study that has compared and successfully applied MST methods in spring water.

In the US, undeniable evidence shows that socioeconomic inequities explain a high proportion of individual differences in school achievement. Although not all countries show this same effect due to socioeconomic status, it is consistently found that social inequities lead to achievement gaps. These achievement gaps then manifest into trajectories that set some individuals on a path of lower incomes, poorer health and higher mortality, lower wellbeing, and other poor adult outcomes. Like Flynn (1999) so handily reminded the scientific literature that achievement gaps are explainable by environmental factors, the inequities we see around the world are based on environments some children are exposed to. In the same work, Flynn stated his belief that the suppression of scientific work on intelligence would continue to lead to social inequities. We wish to take this idea and move it forward. We believe that the scientific construct of intelligence plays a key role in helping create a more equitable society through science. We also believe that the poor perception of intelligence, rooted in historical realities, means that it will continue to be misunderstood, feared, and misused, limiting how effective it could be in helping to close gaps in achievement and in creating a more equitable society.

The paper discusses certain aspects of restructuring enterprises and presents different ways and measures applicable for restructuring companies; they are divided and grouped according to certain qualities. In scientific literature, measures for restructuring enterprises are most frequently classified according to organizational, legal, financial and strategic aspects. For assessing the factor of the period, passive and active ways for transforming enterprises are often singled out, where the first one is usually applied when the response to ongoing negative changes is late and actions are limited by operative anti-crisis measures targeted for cutting expenses. When the active way to the transformation of enterprises is employed, the aim of assessing the total situation of the enterprise and newly forming its strategic potential is pursued. The measures for restructuring enterprises classified with reference to different aspects differ in their goals, contents and technologies of implementation. Variety in applicable measures is predetermined by a broad range of causes and goals, and the scope of restructuring enterprises depends on the abundance of sectors to be transformed to the enterprise. Choosing a way to restructuring enterprises is also affected by external and internal environmental factors. In practice, a combination of various ways for restructuring rather than a single one of those) is applied.

The study on community structure of soil microarthropod in Gonoharjo Tourism Forest has been done. The objective of this research are to compare community structure of soil microartropod and to know the effect of abiotic environmental factors on abundance of soil microarthropod in Tourism Forest of Gonoharjo. This research was conducted using transect method in four sampling locations i.e., coffe vegetation, pine vegetation, mixed vegetation in hot spring water area, and mixed vegetation of riverside area. Soil sampling were used soil corer, and then the sample were extracted using barlese-tullgren. The finding shows 4 Sub Orders and 22 Families from 10 Orders. Acari was the most dominant group in each observed locations. The most diverse was found in mixed vegetation on hot spring water area, while the least one was found in coffe vegetation. Then, the highest evenness index was found in mixed vegetation on riverside area, while the lowest evenness was found in coffe vegetation. Moreover , the richest soil microarthropods found in mixed vegetation on hot spring water area and the lowest richness was found in mixed vegetation on riverside area. Statistically, abiotic environmental factors that have big impact on soil microarthropod abundance were soil organic matter, soil pH, and soil moisture. .   Keywords : community structure, soil microarthropod, Acari, Tourism Forest of Gonoharjo
