An investigation was undertaken to assess whether Hispanic persons have cause for optimism in their quest to compete for managerial business positions. Using three instruments, statistical analysis of data from 262 students graduating with Master of Business Administration degrees indicated that 109 respondents perceived Hispanic managerial candidates no differently in comparison with white managers than 153 students saw black managerial candidates in comparison with white managers. Given that black managerial candidates have experienced difficulty in achieving high organizational status, Hispanic people may experience similar barriers.

This study investigates the communication and learning needs of Master of Business Administration (MBA) business English students and their perceptions of effective curriculum design. The research instruments are two-stage surveys of 99 MBA students from a public university in China. The results of the study show that English is not extensively used in the workplaces of MBA business English students, and that the majority of them use Chinese. Most English usage occurs in foreign businesses. The most difficult skills for MBA business English learners are found to be oral communication and listening comprehension. However, there are still very strong needs for further improvement in English communication. For the MBA business English courses, oral communication activities, especially with expatriate teachers, are particularly needed. The MBA business English courses should connect with real-world practice and be relevant to job and business needs. This study has significant implications for MBA business English curriculum reform in both Chinese and international contexts.

The purpose of this paper is to study universities which provide executives program on Master of Management (MM) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) both in Indonesia and overseas. This paper presents a benchmarking a study to compare processes, performance, best practices between Executive MBA Institut Teknologi Bandung (MBA-ITB) and the other universities. Besides benchmarking, the authors also used customer intelligence method to gather and analyze information regarding competitors by visiting universities in Indonesia. To manage and monitor performance of Executive MBA program, we measured customer satisfaction what products or services provided by MBA-ITB meet or surpass customers (executive students) and conducted in-depth interview to explore need and demand of executive students. The results of the study help to develop executive MBA program and to adopt learning process in other universities to be followed and implemented in MBA-ITB. The acquired knowledge has been partly adapted and adopted by papers. The main implication is the need to explore how MBA-ITB can efficiently and effectively adapt and adopt such knowledge from the results. This work provides effective assistance for development of executive program in MBA-ITB embarking on this benchmarking journey. The result of customer satisfaction provides an indication of how successful MBA-ITB is at providing products and/or services to the students.

Mr. Guillaume Bordier, former vice-president and an honorary member of the ICRC, died on 9 July 1982.Mr. Bordier was born in Geneva in 1901 and did his schooling there. He continued his studies at the Federal Polytechnicum in Zurich where he graduated in engineering. He then went on to study economics in the United States and received his “Master of Business Administration” degree from the University of Harvard in 1929. On his return to Geneva he joined the Banque Bordier et O in an executive capacity and later became a partner in the bank. He was a member of the Swiss Bankers' Association and sat on the Board of Directors of a number of companies.

W artykule oszacowano efektywność 28 programów studiów MBA w Polsce za pomocą „alokacyjnego” modelu New Cost (Tone 2002) należącego do nieparametrycznej metody DEA. Za nakłady przyjęto liczbę godzin programu MBA oraz jego koszt, zaś za wynik ogólny wskaźnik rankingowy studiów MBA w 2018 roku opracowany przez Perspektywy. Uzyskane wyniki świadczą o przeciętnej efektywności studiów MBA wynoszącej 68%, tylko sześć programów było w pełni efektywne (100%). Średnia wartość redukcji nakładów oscyluje wokół 33%. Sześć programów MBA było jednostkami wzorcowymi dla nieefektywnych studiów.
