High-resolution images obtained with multispectral cameras mounted on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) offer significant potential for agricultural monitoring activities. Chlorophyll content is one of the important parameters in monitoring the growing periods of sunflower plants. In this study, the potential of UAV technology to monitor spatial and temporal changes of sunflower (Helianthus annuus) chlorophyll content was tested. Chlorophyll and vegetation indices calculated using multispectral images taken from the UAV were compared with field chlorophyll measurements using a Spad meter. Significant (p<0.01) high correlations were obtained between the calculated indices and chlorophyll values. The results revealed that the chlorophyll content of sunflower plants can reliably be modeled at p<0.001 significance level using a multivariate linear regression model. The model obtained could successfully explain 28% 𝑅𝐴𝑑𝑗 2 = 0.28 of the variation in chlorophyll content of sunflowers. The results showed that the models developed between Spad measurement and UAVimages were successful in explaining the variation at a high level of importance. However, although statistically significant, the indices produced in the study could only explained 28% of the variation in chlorophyll content of sunflower plants. The consolidation of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) photogrammetric techniques for campaigns with high and medium observation scales has triggered the development of new application areas. Most of these vehicles are equipped with common visible-band sensors capable of mapping areas of interest at various spatial resolutions. It is often necessary to identify vegetated areas for masking purposes during the postprocessing phase, excluding them for the digital elevation models (DEMs) generation or change detection purposes. However, vegetation can be extracted using sensors capable of capturing the near-infrared part of the spectrum, which cannot be recorded by visible (RGB) cameras. In this study, after reviewing different visible-band vegetation indices in various environments using different UAV technology, the influence of the spatial resolution of orthomosaics generated by photogrammetric processes in the vegetation extraction was examined. The triangular greenness index (TGI) index provided a high level of separability between vegetation and nonvegetation areas for all case studies in any spatial resolution. The efficiency of the indices remained fundamentally linked to the context of the scenario under investigation, and the correlation between spatial resolution and index incisiveness was found to be more complex than might be trivially assumed.

Madura subject to a high level of flood hazard. One of the main causes of flood is extreme rainfall. Global warming generates changes in the amount of extreme rainfall. This research is conducted to identify and to analyze the trends, changes, and randomness of 24-hour extreme rainfall data on Madura Island. The method used is a non-parametric method which includes the Median Crossing test, the Mann-Kendall test, and the Rank-Sum test at the significance level of α =0.05. The analysis was carried out on 31 rain gauge stations. The recording period observed is between 1991-2015. The results of the analysis show that based on the Median Crossing test, most rainfall stations have data originating from random processes. The result shows also that the maximum 24-hour extreme rainfall trend is significantly decreased in a few locations, while for the majority of other stations have no experience a significant trend.

The morpho â€physiological traits associated with seed yield in chickpea (Cicerarietinum L.) were evaluated on thirty five chickpea genotypes under twodifferent water regimes. In optimum condition, the highest correlation wasbelonged to number of seeds/plant and number of pods/plant (0.944**) andin water deficit condition, the strongest correlation of seed yield was observedwith number of seeds/plant (0.875**), number of pods/plant(0.789**) and 100  â€seed weight (0.438**). Physiological traits (RWC, Chlorophylland Carotenoid) indicated low and positive correlation with yield, buthigh positive correlation with other seeds yields related traits in optimumcondition while, under water deficit condition, chlorophyll content and RWChad low and non â€significant negative correlation with seeds yield. Carotenoid,number of seeds/plant and 100 â€seed weight showed more direct positiveeffect on yield in optimum environment and in stress condition, numberof seeds/ plant and 100 â€seed weight showed highest direct effect on seedyield. Results of factor analysis showed that four factors explained 88.54%and 34.5% of the total variance caused in the characters in optimum andwater deficit environment, respectively. In general, the results suggestedthat a chickpea cultivar, for increased yield under non â€stress conditions,should have maximum number of seeds and pods per plant and under stressconditions should have maximum number of seeds and pods per plant andalso keep the high level of RWC and chlorophyll content in their leaves. Thus,identifying these traits as selection criteria in chickpea breeding programmay be useful for breeders to introduce suitable drought resistant chickpeacultivars for arid regions.

The purpose of this research is to examine the relation between the stresses and some lifestyle habits of academic and administrative personnel holding office at Ahi Evran University. 368 personnel in total as being 252 academic and 116 administrative personnel working holding office at Ahi Evran University had participated in this study. In the study, “Health - Exercise and Physical Activity Consciousness Level” questionnaire, developed by Dolasır Tuncel and Tuncel (2009), had been used as data collection tool. SPSS 22,0 packaged software had been used in the statistical analysis of data obtained, and the results had been evaluated at significance level of p<0,05. As the result of the research, by the comparison of states of regular exercise and being stressful among the academic and administrative personnel, significance had been determined at a level of .000 (p<0.001) for regular exercise, and of .021 (p<0.05) for being stressful. Moreover, when the relation among frequent tension, stressful workplace environment, alcohol consumption, regular exercise and smoking of academic and administrative personnel, a relation at high level in positive direction had been determined between frequent tension and stressful workplace environment (r=,723, p<0.001), a relation at very low level in positive direction had been determined between frequent tension and alcohol consumption (r=,124, p<0.001), and a relation at low level in positive direction had been determined between smoking and alcohol consumption (r=,422, p<0.001). Thus, it is being observed that the stress states of academic and administrative personnel holding office at Ahi Evran University are being affected depending on the workplace environment, and that the alcohol consumption of the personnel is increasing as the cigarette consumption increases.

Accelerating the introduction of a new technological package is needed to increase the productivity of high elevation puddled rice in Humbang Hasundutan. The objectives of the study are to find out the perception of the existence of technological packages and farmers' preference for a new technological package. The study used a survey method with primary data gathered using questionnaires. The criteria of locations and respondents were used to obtain relevant respondents and data concerning their knowledge of high elevation puddled rice cultivation.  The collected data were processed by using Importance Performance Analysis in order to find out the level of Importance and Satisfaction of the indicators and the valued aspects in the technological package components. The results of the study showed that the socio-economic aspects had to be heeded in organizing the technological package. Indicators having a high level of importance and a low level of satisfaction consisted of production cost, quality of seeds, farmer groups empowerment, technology information institution, capital cost, agricultural tools and machines, pest control, sales price, irrigation canals, and farm roads. On the other hand, introducing new superior seeds, productivity attribute and planting age were important indicators for local farmers as to improve the quality of existing seeds. Farmers group expected that the technological package had a high level of productivity, better access to input, low cost, and good user-friendliness in its application.

Operations with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) require reliability to execute missions. With the correct diagnostic, it is possible to predict vehicle failure during or before the flight. The objective of this work is to present a testing tool, which analyzes and evaluates drones during the flight in indoor environments. For this purpose, the framework Ptolemy II was extended for communication with real drones using the High-Level Architecture (HLA) for data exchanging and synchronization. The presented testing environment is extendable for other testing routines and is ready for integration with other simulation and analysis tools. In this paper, two failure detection experiments were performed, with a total of 20 flights for each one, which 80\% were used to train a decision tree algorithm, and the other 20% flights to test the algorithm in which one of the propellers had an anomaly. The failure rate or detection rate was 70\% for the first experiment and 90% for the second one.

Autonomy is one of the vocational criteria of the nursing profession and is essential for safe and quality care. Nurses begin to learn the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values associated with their professional roles during their school years. Nursing students should primarily have a high level of autonomy to protect and improve individuals’ health, and enhance their life quality in the future. This descriptive study was carried out with 285 nursing students to determine their autonomy levels. The study data were collected using a personal information form and the autonomy subscale (AS) of the Sociotropy-Autonomy Scale. For the analysis of the data, numbers, percentages, mean and standard deviation values, Mann-Whitney U, and Kruskal Wallis tests were employed, and the significance level was accepted as p <0.05. The mean total score of the students obtained from AS was 103.65 ± 18.34. Their scores from the subscales of AS were 42.68 ± 8.16 for “personal achievement”, 40.77 ± 7.70 for “freedom”, and 20.20 ± 4.70 for “enjoying loneliness”. The mean total score of the first-grade students was found to be higher than that of other grades, but the difference was not statistically significant (p> 0.05). The autonomy level of the students was found to be above the middle level, and the autonomy level of 1st-grade students was higher than that of the students in other grades.
