This article is devoted to the development of the cargo carrying capacity evaluation method for a combined ship of tanker/platform type. A specific feature of cargo carrying capacity calculation for such ships lies in the fact that they have two cargo compartments of different structure. The compartments are interconnected, including dimensions, and influence each other. This fact leads to the need to update the existing calculation methods when justifying the main dimensions both of tankers and of platform ships. It is proposed to include the parameters which affect the cargo carrying capacity and take into account the above mentioned influence into the cargo carrying capacity equations. This article also specifies the determination methods for these parameters in the early stages of ship designing. All this made it possible to obtain relations, the inclusion of which into the mathematic model of optimization problem for main elements of a combined ship (tanker/platform type) allows proper evaluation of all available options of main dimensions in terms of their compliance with carrying capacity for each specific cargo as well as exclusion of improper options from consideration.

It is of great significance to establish a scientific and reasonable water resources carrying capacity evaluation system and evaluation method on the basis of studying the interdependence and mutual relations of water resources, society, economy and the ecological environment. This can guide water resources utilization and economic and social development planning, and promote the sustainable development of water resources and the socio-economic system. Projection pursuit technology can achieve automatic index selection and index weight confirmation. When used to assess water resources carrying capacity, the subjectivity and uncertainty of index weights can be avoided. Meanwhile, it can also be used to optimize the index system, and can improve the accuracy of evaluation results and discrimination. In this paper, the projection pursuit grade model of water resources carrying capacity is established. The evaluation criteria are determined by combining the theory with practice. Grades I to IV indicate that the water resources capacity declines gradually. This is the first study of water resources carrying capacity in four municipalities in China. The results show that the water resources carrying capacity of the four municipalities in 2012 belong to the third level, Chongqing is close to the second level and Tianjin is close to the fourth level.

In general, foundation is defined as the underground building that continues the load from the weight of the building itself and fromthe external load that works at the buildi ng to the ground around it. Carrying capacity analysis of pile is needed to get the planning of foundation that meetsthe requirements. There are many calculation methods used to analyze the carrying capacity of the pile, but it needs to consider which method is more fulfilling from the data in the field, for that, it needs  carrying  capacity  analysis  of  several  methods  based  on  field  data  using  sondir  data  and compared to one another to obtain more realistic results. Capacity analysis method of pile on the construction of Dams Motion in Sembayat Gresik uses static and dynamic methods. In the dynamic method, it use several methods, those are Hiley equation, Wika Method, ENR method, Eytelwein Method, Navy-Mc.Kay Method, and Michigan State Highway of Commission  Method. While in the static  method,  it  uses  Luciano  Dacourt  Method.  From  the  analysis  of  the  static  pile  carrying capacity obtained the result that pile carrying capacity calculation of Luciano Dacourt Method is smaller,  pull Q permitted  15.25 tons and maximum press Q  permitted    41.55 tons compared with the calculation method by using kalendering result of Eytelwein Method. In Eytelwein Method, the minimum pile carrying capacity is 61.566 tons of calculations in GW 1.

This article investigates two chosen calculation methods of compressed reinforced concrete elements strengthened using reinforced concrete jackets. Shortly describe carrying capacity calculation algorithms of these calculation methods. Present elements basic equations and dependences of carrying capacity. For calculation methods of carrying capacity comparison and adjustment executed carrying capacity experimental studies of compressed fiber reinforcement concrete elements strengthened using reinforcement concrete jackets. Were compared theoretical calculations of carrying capacity results with experimental carrying capacity results. Shortly describe advantages and disadvantages of analyzed calculation methods and experimental research. By the comparison of calculation methods conclusions and experimental studies conclusions, produces improved calculation method of carrying capacity.

On the basis of the ecological carrying capacity connotation and to realize the coordinated development of economics and environment in Beijing mountainous valley areas, ecological carrying capacity evaluation was discussed in order to promote corresponding advices. The comprehensive evaluation index system was built which included ecosystem elasticity level, bearing capacity index and stress index of ecotourism. The comprehensive evaluation method was constructed. The score of ecosystem resilience of Puwa valley region in 2012 was 74.6, which was more stable. The score of carrying capacity of resource and environment was 49.3 which reached medium level. The score of carrying capacity pressure was 84.2 which attained huge pressure. The score of carrying capacity system was 67.0 which was the second level. At last, this study promoted several corresponding advices.

Load-carrying capacity evaluation method of existing pre-stressed concrete hollow slab is represented based on the example, inspection content, method and result are introduced. Based on the result, carrying capacity condition is evaluated by the relevant code. The result can validate the rationality and effectivity of the method, which is useful for the carrying capacity evaluation of similar structure.

With the development of social economy, the traffic burden is increasing, and many bridges appear damage at different degree because they have been overloaded. There are many special type loads beyond specification range in the overloaded vehicles, however the carrying capacity evaluation of the bridge under the special type load is different from the conventional methods. Take the reinforced concrete bridge built in the 90's of the 20th century for example, this paper analyses and discusses the existing carrying capacity evaluation method of the bridge when the special type load beyond the design standards drives on the bridge, as well as the whole process of analysis, loading, and the results analysis of the loading test in detail. Finally, the results of the study have a high guiding significance to the similar work.

Chinese government has proposed the ecological civilization and requires integrate this issue into land use strategies. So the historical evolution of the land carrying capacity evaluation was first analyzed in this paper. "Population-based" and "industry-oriented" methods were then discussed. Based on this, ecological civilization-related urban land carrying capacity evaluation method is elaborated in this paper. Taking Tianjin Binhai New Area as an example, a preliminary exploration was conducted. The analysis of case studies shows it is practical to carry out the ecological civilization-related method.
