Orheiul Vechi is one of the most attractive cultural sites in the Republic of Moldova and one of the most frequently discussed. The density of sites and the continuity of living in this space has made Orheiul Vechi attractive for the multidisciplinary research since 1946. In the context of preparing the dossier for the inscription of the historic-cultural and natural landscape reserve “Orheiul Vechi” into the World Heritage List, a series of studies have been carried out in the last two decades. Some of these scientific approaches include non-invasive surveys in various areas of the reservation. Thus, in this article, all the results of magnetometric surveys carried out by a Moldovan-Romanian-German team in 2009-2014, have been presented for the first time. The surveys confirmed a number of archaeological situations already known and facilitated new discoveries that should be developed in the coming years.

Introduction. Rabies is one of the most dangerous zoonoses in the world with a lethality rate around 100% of infected animals. The main factor in rabies’ control is the prophylactic immunization of domestic and wild carnivores. Material and methods. As a research material for this manuscript, a number of rabies cases in wildlife over the last 5 years was studied, as well as some data from the national program regarding the vaccination of wildlife animals in the Republic of Moldova. Results. The anual incidence of rabies in wildlife was determined to range between 12 to 25% of the total number of rabies cases at national level. Due to vaccination by combining some methods (aerial and manual), the incidence of positive cases of rabies in wildlife has decreased by 48% in the last 5 years. Conclusions. The use of the mixed vaccination method of wildlife animals (manual and the distribution of baits by plane) contributed significantly to reducing the incidence of rabies in wildlife.

The research of parasitoid calcidids associated with the cinopid Neuroterus quercusbaccarum L. (Hymenoptera, Cynipidae) was performed in the forest ridges of the northern and central districts of the Republic of Moldova during the years 2016-2018. In total, more than 1000 gallons were collected, of which eights pecies of entomophagus included in 7 genres and 6 families were obtained under laboratory conditions: Pteromalidae – Mesopolobus tibialis Westw., M. Fasciiventris Westw.; Eupelmidae – Eupelmus fulvipes Förster, Eulophidae – Olynx gallarum L., Tetrastichus sp., Ormyridae – Ormyrus diffinis Fonsc., Eurytomidae – Eudecatoma biguttata Swed.; Torymidae – Torymus flavipes Walker. In the parasitoid complex with a higher percentage of parasites, threes pecies were found: Torymus flavipes Walker (Chalcidoidea, Torymidae), Mesopolobus tibialis Westw., M. Fasciiventris Westw. (Chalcidoidea, Pteromalidae). The lowest percentage of parasites was recorded in Tetrastichus sp. (Chalcidoidea, Eulophidae). Torymus flavipes Walker iscited as a new species for Moldova’s fauna. For the first time there has been infestation of this host with parasitoids: Mesopolobus fasciiventris Westw. (Pteromalidae), Ormyrus diffinis Fonsc. (Ormyridae), Eudecatoma biguttataSwed. (Eurytomidae), Eupelmus fulvipes Förster (Eupelmidae); Tetrastichus sp. (Eulophidae), Torymus flavipes Walker (Torymidae).

Following long-term investigations of over 50 amphibian populations in the Republic of Moldova and Italy, the ecological and evolutionary peculiarities of reproductive behavior in some species of the orders Caudata and Anura were elucidated. For the first time, at the autecological and synecological level, the evaluation of amphibian nuptial systems - parental input, reproductive success, “r” and “K” reproductive strategies and their role in the evolution of sexual selection and the realization of the reproduction potential as a fundamental mechanism for the survival of amphibian populations in various environmental conditions was emphasized.

The paper presents new data about the species diversity of the order Collembola from the Prutul de Jos Scientific Reserve. A total of 13 species of Collembola from 11 genera and 5 families were identified for the first time in the floodplain forest of the Prutul de Jos Scientific Reserve. Among the identified collembolan species one - Endonura lusatica Dunger, 1966 is new for the fauna of the Republic of Moldova.

The article discusses the basic principles and conditions for the use of the latest underground navigation system. An example is given of the second new Yunusabad line of the Tashkent Subway using the shield method. For the first time in the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the construction of the Tashkent metro stations by underground, the Tunneling Mechanized Complex (TMC) was used - a movable prefabricated metal structure manufactured in Germany by the company HERRENKNECHT, which is the leading company in the world and produces machines for the construction of tunnels of any diameter in the range from 0.10 to 19 m in any engineering-geological conditions. The disadvantages and advantages of the underground navigation system are indicated; conclusions are drawn about the prospects for its application. The patterns of development of technical aspects of the automation of surveying concerning general historical trends are examined.

In 1879, for the first time, Argentina exported more wheat than it imported. A generation later the Republic figured among the top five exporters of wheat in the world and wheat had become its premier earner of foreign exchange. The expansion was by any account remarkable.1With the expulsion of the Indians from thePampa Húmedain the late 1870s, hundreds of thousands of hectares of arable and highly fertile land were suddenly made available to agriculturalists. Railways, built largely with British capital, provided the means to ship new agricultural produce out of the region to the newly constructed ports. Immigrants flocked from Europe to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the vacant land, either as new property owners, as tenants or as wage-earners. The surge in the supply of land, labour and capital initiated a period of growth in Argentina, a growth which was shared by other regions of recent settlement which responded to similar opportunities.2
