There is growing interest in the development of measures and indexes of youth wellbeing. However, there has been a limited discussion on indicators to measure and select them. This paper reports on the results of a qualitative study on the selection of indicators to measure the wellbeing of young people in South Africa, and reflects on the relevance of the content of their values in choosing indicators for measuring their wellbeing. The data used in this analysis is based on telephone (9) and email (6) interviews conducted with 15 young people (male=5, female=10) aged 22 to 32 from five South African cities during July 2010. In the interviews, participants were asked to identify five issues they considered important to their lives, after which they were asked to rank them in order of importance. The issues indicated by the participants are described and discussed in six dimensions: economic, relationships, spiritual and health, education, time use and material. The indicators developed from this study are discussed in terms of their relevance for use in a measure of youth wellbeing in South Africa.

The poor electric conductivity of polycrystalline diamond (PCD) makes it difficult to machine with the conventional EDM process. Inappropriate selection of parameters of the power generator and the servo system leads to unstable working condition and low material removal rate. This paper introduces a method to find optimal parameters in the Electrical Discharge Grinding (EDG) of PCD materials with Taguchi method. The theory and detailed procedures are presented, experimental results are analyzed. The optimized configuration was validated through confirmation tests.

The poor are highly migrate from the surrounding districts of Kathmandu valley and largely dependent on direct cash income from the informal activities. Casual wage labor, petty trade and private and professional services are common livelihood activities. However, availability of income generation activities remains largely irregular and depends on the season, gender, age of person, ethnic and education background. Foreign employment, skill-based activities and petty trade fetch the highest return. It is also found that the level of family income is determined not only by ethnic background; but there are other factors, for example family structure, working hours, nature of work and seasonality. There is a significant impact of education and working hour in household income. Poor are assets of urban economy. We could not neglect them. They are hard working and decent people. But poor policy and attitude makes them highly vulnerable in the urban environment. However, all people living in the squatter or slum are not only poor but some of them are economically well-off, though they have poor accessed of modern banking and financial institutions, in many cases, banking policies discouraged them for providing credit facilities. This paper addresses the scholarly debate on cultural homogeneity or heterogeneity of urban poor families. While authors such as Lewis (1959) or Wacquant (2000 ; 2001) claim that structural disadvantages are linked to a particular type of identity or culture, others such as Hannerz (1969) , Anderson (1999 ; 2002) , or Portes ( Portes and Manning, 1986 ; Portes and Jensen, 1989 ) believe that it is possible to find different behaviors, expectations, decision–making processes, and outcomes among people living in seemingly identical structural conditions ( Small et al., 2010 ). Using Santiago, Chile, as a case study, we differentiate five different cultures or identities among the poor. Those identities seem to be the product of different historical and political circumstances, as well as of different types of public policies. The paper ends with a discussion of the need for poverty reduction policies to consider these differences among the poor.

The prevalence of hypertension has increased throughout the year. Hypertension spreads widely because of the lack of knowledge and a healthy lifestyle. People's lifestyle which is more practical has an impact on the implementation of inappropriate hypertension diets and triggers various diseases. Based on this phenomenon, it is necessary to increase public knowledge about hypertension diets. The purpose of this activity was to provide counseling about a low-salt diet as an effort to increase knowledge of hypertension patients. The method was done by giving counseling about low salt diet through lectures to 30 hypertension patients who were routinely monitored at the Panti Rahayu Clinic. The pre test showed that almost all of the hypertension patients (80%) were in the poor category of knowledge. The post test showed that after being given counseling the knowledge of hypertension patients increased almost half (46%) were in the good category. Knowledge of hypertension patients increased after getting information through counseling activities about a low salt diet. Suggestions for clinics are expected to hold regular and periodic health education or promotion programs to provide information so as to increase the knowledge of hypertension patients.

Introduction. Currently, due to environmental and social problems, nervous strain, muscle inactivity, more and more people are starting to engage in health fitness in the hope of improving health, improving physical condition, learning how to deal with stress and lose weight. Nowadays, compared to other types of fitness, shaping classes have become more and more popular as an effective way to lose weight and body shape. Although shaping was originally developed as a system of individual classes, the current practice of group classes requires the search for new approaches in planning shaping programs: there is no research on the selection of exercises, volume and intensity of classes based on individual physiques of those involved. Aim: to increase the effectiveness of classes in order to correct the figure of women 21-35 years old through the use of shaping programs, taking into account their body types. Material and methods. The study involved 30 women aged 21 - 35 years, divided into control and experimental groups, in which 15 people each were divided by somatotype. The pedagogical experiment was conducted on the basis of the sports club "Fitness Box" in Kyiv. Results. It was found that as a result of the application of the developed shaping program in the women of the experimental group there was a decrease in the fat layer in endomorphs by 13.2%, and in the control group of endomorphs by 7.2% (p < 0,05). Changes in the fat layer in the control and experimental groups are supplemented by changes in girth: chest, shoulder, abdomen, thighs, buttocks, the dynamics of which proves the effectiveness of our program compared to traditional. Conclusions. The application of the developed shaping program allows to solve the problem of improving the efficiency of shaping in order to correct the figure taking into account endomorphic body type of women first adult age.
