Cyber bullying has become a critical social issue, which severely threatens children and adolescents’ physical and psychological health. Cyber bullying has evolved from the increasing use of technology, specifically electronic communication and social networking. These findings enhance our understanding of the rates of occurrence of bullying, cyber bullying and victimization. Cyber bullying is defined as a means of bullying in which peers use electronic devices "to taunt, insult, threaten, harass, and/or intimidate a peer" (Raskauskas & Stoltz, 2007, p. 565). With the growth of information and communication technology (ICT), bullying has expanded into the technological realm. Labelled as cyber bullying, individuals are utilizing technology, such as cellphones and the internet, to bully and cause harassment to others with the intention of causing harm. Ten studies which met the inclusion criteria were selected for this study.Findings of the study shows that it has an impact on both psychological and socio demographic problem.

The use of technology in UT instructional media allows students of the Open University of Indonesia (Universitas Terbuka, UT) to improve their knowledge and skills without being hampered by distance, space, and time. This study explored the perception of UT alumni and stakeholders about the benefit of using information and communication technology (ICT) and learning media obtained during their study period in UT. The information was gathered from a tracer study conducted in 2008, which was used to evaluate 5 study programs at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Educational Science in the use of ICT and instructional media. The data were collected from 37 UT regional offices through questionnaires to a sample of alumni teachers and their principals, as well as interviews with selected alumni and stakeholders. According to the surveys and interviews, both alumni and stakeholders perceived that alumni had improved in their knowledge and skills of ICT and learning media. However, according to alumni perceptions, the knowledge and skills they had learned from UT were relatively low. On the other hand, stakeholders perceived that the alumni had good knowledge and skills of ICT and learning media. We argue that differences in perception between alumni and stakeholders result from different experiences and expectations on the part of each group.

The development of information and communication technology is now a major effect on manyaspects of life, even human behavior and activities are now a lot depends on the information andcommunication technology. One example is the use of technology in teaching and learning, namely withthe game. The game is already familiar to the students. When students are lazy to read books whilestudying, they are cool to play games. Therefore, the author makes an effective solution in learning sothat they are not lazy to study. This game was designed with the concept of 2D so it can be run onsmartphones that have lower specs. To build this game, the author uses Unity 3D 5.4. So, students canlearn with pleasure and do not get bored while studying.


Information and communication technology is a resource used in the processes and activities of business and government. Recent trends indicate that it is becoming an important resource in the daily activities of human beings. But the similarity between information and communication technology ends here. While other technologies tend to be applicable only in the specific industries and defined areas of operations, the potential of information and communication technology in business, government, and human activities is more universal. Information and communication technology provides several concepts that enable business, government, and human beings to reach new realities in their sector. Some of the concepts have created opportunities for designing and manufacturing electronic devices. This chapter talks about making use of the electronic devices in an open innovative thinking and approach.

The way citizens interact with cities affects overall life quality. Their participation in social decisions is of paramount importance for helping on public decisions that affect governance, regulation and education. This interaction has the potential of being boosted within the scope of smart and digital cities, especially by recent advances in blockchain technology. This work introduces insights about how smart cities’ concepts and innovative technologies can help society to face daily challenges for improving citizens’ awareness. Digital technologies are able to drive social and economic development by employing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to promote innovation. In this context, e-governance, in conjunction with disruptive concepts such as blockchain, is showing up as a fundamental tool for a decentralized democracy. This study reviews, discusses, raises open points and presents suggestions towards an efficient, transparent and sustainable use of technology, applied to future cities.

UTILIZATION OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) IN MATHEMATICS LEARNING. The aims of this study are (1) to explain the definition of Information and Communication Technology (ICT); (2) to explain the importance of ICT used in Mathematics Learning; (3) to describe how much ICT used in Mathematics Learning in indoensia; (4) to elaborate the positive and negative effects of implementing ICT used in Mathematics learning. The methods used are literature review and description of interviews to educators and learners in the field of mathematics education. Information and Communication Technology is an electronic equipment consisting of hardware and software as well as any activities related to processing, manipulation, management, and transfer of information between media. It has has a function to produce quality and communicative information. In Indonesia, the use of Information and Communication Technology is still in integrating level, shown by the use of technology in learning. The utilization of information technology, in addition to efforts to overcome the technical problems of learning as a learning medium, as well as an effort to answer the substantial problem of learning as a source of teaching and encourage computer literacy acceleration in Indonesian society.

But in fact many teachers in Sukasada<br />district, Buleleng who still do not understand the use of technology. Based on the description above<br />the information system is needed survey through questionnaire related to the extent of the teacher<br />skills in the field of ICT. Namun kenyataannya banyak guru di kecamatan<br />Sukasada, Buleleng yang masih belum memahami penggunaan teknologi. Berdasarkan uraian diatas <br />sistem informasi sangat diperlukan survey melalui kuisioner terkait sejauh mana keterampilan guru<br />di bidang TIK. El uso masivo de la tecnología, en la vida cotidiana y en la educación en particular, está teniendo siempre más influencias en la autopercepción, por parte de los/as docentes, de habilidades de uso de las TIC, así como en sus competencias digitales. El propósito del estudio ha sido analizar si se presentan diferencias de género en el uso pedagógico de la plataforma Moodle, encuestando una población de 640 docentes de una institución de educación superior técnico profesional de Chile. El estudio ha sido realizado a través del análisis estadístico basado en la prueba de significación de hipótesis nula y la variable género ha sido analizada de forma descontextualizada, sin tomar en consideración las interacciones que se puedan dar con otras variables. Entre los resultados principales se destaca la evidencia de que no se presentan diferencias significativas entre profesores y profesoras el uso didáctico de la plataforma Moodle, así como en la auto calificación del dominio de la misma. The widespread use of technology in daily life, and particularly in education, increasingly influences both the self-perception of Information and Communication Technology skills and teachers’ digital competence. This study aims to analyze if there are gender differences in the pedagogical use of the Moodle platform, by conducting surveys among a population of 640 teachers from a technical professional higher education institution in Chile. The study of gender differences has been conducted through a statistical analysis based on a significance test of null hypothesis and the gender variable has been analyzed in a decontextualized manner, without taking into account the interactions that they could have with other variables. Among the primary results, evidence shows that there are no significant differences between female and male teachers with regard to the educational use of the Moodle platform as well as self-qualification with respect to proficiency on the platform

The digital technology has permeated almost every aspect of life. Meanwhile, the responses from the field of language teaching in Indonesia to this new development have been scarce. The paper aims to provide an answer to the question whether language teachers perceive Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a threat or a helpful assistant. To achieve this, a survey was conducted to 110 English teachers in Java, Indonesia. Five closed-ended items and two open-ended items in an online questionnaire asked them several questions about what conditions they see as threats, how they perceive ICT, and what digital facilities they have been using in their work. The results show that most of them perceived ICT positively, seeing it as a beneficial rather than threatening force. To them, ICT has been an attractive source that provides learning resources, fosters communication and collaboration, and spices up teaching-learning activities. Those who expressed their worry over ICT mentioned the importance of teachers’ upgrading their ICT skills and called for institutional support for the teachers. Three models, TAM (Technological Acceptance Model), UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology), and TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) were then discussed to address the need for helping teachers adapt to the fast-changing digital technology.

The ability of rural entrepreneurs to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic greatly depends on their knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to support online business. In this study, online surveys were conducted to assess the readiness and acceptance of rural entrepreneurs in adopting to the pandemic using the available technologies. Data collected were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics using ANOVA. Online training modules were designed based on their specific needs. Although participants indicated that their frequency and skills of using the electronic devices or applications had generally increased or improved after the training, the increment was not statistically significant (). This indicated that while the participants, to some extent, benefited from the online training provided, there has not been a significant impact on them

Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation is an innovative rural community in Quebec. Located 130 kilometers north of Ottawa, it is the closest First Nation to the Canadian capital. In both population and territory, Kitigan Zibi is the largest of the ten Algonquin communities. Broadband connectivity and information and communication technologies (ICT) are important to the community and incorporated into everyday operations. This paper explores the use of technology in the education sector in Kitigan Zibi, in particular the situation of having technology readily available at school and less so at home. This transition from a technology-filled classroom to limited or no ICT access at home is a challenge, not only for individual students and their families but also for the community as a whole.
