I applaud and congratulate the University of Michigan for launching the Journal of Law and Mobility. The timing is perfect. The information superhighway is no longer just a clever metaphor. We are living in an era where internet connectivity is a critical part of making transportation safer and more convenient. Internet connectivity has powered the U.S. and global economies for years now. In the early stages, dial-up connections enabled users to access a vast store of digital information. As the internet and its usage grew, so did the demand for faster broadband speeds. Finally, wireless networks untethered the power of broadband Internet so consumers could have fast access when and where they want it. We are now seeing technology advances in the automotive sector begin to better align with what has occurred in the communications space. The possibilities for what this means for human mobility are truly exciting. Challenges abound, however, with questions around the security and safety of self-driving vehicles and how to create the infrastructure and policies needed for vehicle connectivity. While many of these will be sorted out by the market, policy levers will also play a role.

Searching the address of the campus of Bina Sarana Informatika University which has PSDKU, almost 29 campuses outside the main campus spread throughout Indonesia at this time can only be through official documents, brochures and on calendars made by the campus and there are also installed on the wall in the environment campus. The current address search process will be developed into a digital information system in the form of an Android-based Mobile technology. This technology is made using the android studio application and MySQL database. With the Location Based Service (LBS) and GPS technology methods, the user will be given location information and routes to the UBSI campus that is addressed easily. The purpose of planning this system is to provide convenience in the delivery of information on address searches of the campus of the University of Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) widely for mobile users that can be accessed via the internet. Through the development of this system, access to information can be done anytime and anywhere without having to deal directly with existing resources.

Abstract Objective – This study has the objective of establishing whether the undergraduate students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Jos, have access to and use Internet facilities in the University library. Methods – A survey research design was adopted for this study and questionnaires were used in gathering data. Statistical methods used in the analysis include percentages, frequencies, and Chi-Square test for measuring the association of library visit and use of the Internet. Results – The analysis of the data and findings indicated that there is Internet connectivity in the library. The findings also revealed that few students (15.5%) use the computer and the Internet on a daily basis. The problems of slow Internet connection at peak periods and unsteady power supply were clearly identified. Furthermore, the analysis revealed that there is no association between the students’ library visits and their use of the Internet for most academic purposes, except for downloading articles. Conclusion – The presence of Internet connectivity in the library, does not translate to meaningful academic behaviour among the students. Therefore, sensitising and training of the students on Internet usage were recommended for better academic performance and life-long learning.

INTRODUCTION The internet is a widely used, powerful resource for patients to research medical conditions. There is an extensive amount of information available on the internet. It is important for patient information to be accurate and in an easily accessible format. This article aims to assess the quality of patient information on hydrocephalus and compares the findings with recent evaluations in other surgical specialties. METHODS The term ‘hydrocephalus’ was searched for on the search engines http://www.google.com/ , http://www.bing.com/ and http://www.yahoo.com/ . The top 20 results of these searches were assessed using the University of Michigan consumer health website evaluation checklist. RESULTS The quality of patient information websites on hydrocephalus is highly variable. Websites rarely provide sufficient authorship information, do not review their information regularly enough and only reference material occasionally. The background of the provider was found to influence the quality of the website, with academic and care providers creating the best websites. CONCLUSIONS On comparing our findings with those of recent studies from other surgical specialties, it was found that there was often a conflict of interest between the background of the provider and the information supplied. It is recommended that clinicians personally research material for their patients to be able to guide them to suitable, accurate websites.

The aim of this study was to identify the digital library services for visually impaired (VI) students, studying in the University of Karachi. The VI students have the same information needs as that of sighted people but digital information services are not available for them. The VI students have been facing problems in searching information on the internet because they can not use computer and internet without the support of a helper or some specific software or hardware. The researchers collected data by interviewing VI students. The findings show that the VI students had a keen interest in using digital information through digital libraries because they were aware of the importance and usefulness of digital information and wanted to get benefit of that in their education.
