Background: The teaching of the subject “Biochemical Basis of Human Nutrition” of the Degree in Biochemistry is based on the premise that students apply the knowledge acquired in previous courses concerning biochemistry and metabolism. However, for many topics covered in this subject, not rigorously application of this knowledge has been detected, existing influences derived from non-expert information available in the media. To a large extent, this problem lies in the fact that nutrition is a topic widely covered in the media, although often in a generalized, incomplete and not very rigorous way. Methodologies: In this project we proposed students to apply a critical view on nutrition-related information available in the media, with special emphasis on the hottest topics, such as transgenic foods and Mediterranean diet. For this purpose, we designed two strategies: (1) a mini-workshop activity in connection with the subject “Food Biotechnology” focused on the use of transgenic foods; (2) involving students in the creation and management of a web page aimed at dealing with topics related to nutrition, worked from two approaches (informative and scientific). For the development of these activities, students were assigned to different working groups and information about the knowledge of the students in the topics was collected in pre- and post-activity tests. In this way, we involved students in real activities of expert search and screening of information, in order to communicate it in different environments. Results: The project was developed during two academic years, involving students from two successive promotions (30 students in the first year and 39 in the second year). The activities proposed within the project were voluntary, and the percentage of adherence to them was 100% in both cases, indicating the high degree of acceptance among the students. We created a website (www.lawebnatural.com) in the context of this project. In the activities aimed at researching and writing articles on specific topics within the web page environment, questionnaires were carried out prior to the development of the activities to evaluate the degree of knowledge that the students had about the topics to be worked on in the activities. The implementation of post-activities questionnaires showed an improvement percentage of 85% in the knowledge of the topics. The elaboration of graphic material on transgenic foods for the mini-workshop activity, was another profitable activity contributing to a better understanding of the topics. Conclusions and implications: The use of these dynamics concerning the active participation of students in creative tasks based on information search improves the quality of learning. The choice of current topics in nutrition awakens the students' critical spirit, as they confront their pre-established ideas about these topics with the new knowledge acquired. Findings: This communication is derived from the Educative Innovation Project PIE19-068, funded by University of Malaga. Websites were supported by funds from My Scientific.

COVID-19 pandemic is a global problem that raised the perception of stress to a completely new level, unseen so far in peace conditions. To reduce the level of stress and deal with its accumulated consequences, people enforce different strategies and coping mechanisms. In the vast amount of information available, imposed by the media, and often filled with falsehoods and catastrophizing related topics, it can be very challenging to distinguish the truth from falsehoods. The existence of an adequate level of digital literacy and e-Health literacy can help society to deal with that problem. Digital and e-Health literacy enables society to search for information efficiently, while remaining critical and open-minded, and use the newly adopted knowledge to improve our mental health. The aim of the paper was to present the frequency of news searches and trusting the COVID-19 related information in the group of medical professionals in Croatia. The survey was conducted using an online questionnaire, containing psychological questionnaires and relevant questions about everyday functioning. Based on the results that show a significant correlation between the frequency of information search and the lack of trust in the search results, we discuss the importance of digital and e-Health literacy, primarily within medical professionals.

Esta actividad fue realizada en el Centro de Formación del Profesorado “Luisa Revuelta” de Córdoba con docentes participantes de todos los niveles y especialidades como proyecto de innovación educativa.ABSTRACTFrom the school years of 2010-2011 to 2016-2017, students enrolled on the subject Didáctica de la Expresión Musical en Infantil taught in the first year of the degree on Early Childhood Education (Córdoba University) have been doing an interdisciplinary activity with a significant specific weight within the evaluation system of the subject: The tale with music. This is the symbiosis of sound, word and movement, consisting on the dramatization of an original story (freely chosen), seen as a resource to carry out a communicative action. Thanks to that, during all the referred period, there were more than eighty group work presented by the students, each one addressing diverse contents. Based on a quantitative research of the different topics proposed in those works, this paper aims to assess in what extent the principles of sustainability, faced in a social, economic or environmental perspective, have been taken into account, and, therefore, if there is a clear awareness on the part of the students recently admitted to the University about the need for a sustainable curricular development, as well as their understanding of its nature. Besides, as an example of good practices, an experience of a tale with music in which curricular sustainability has been taken into account will be described. The activity was created, as an educational innovation project, in the Teacher Training Center "Luisa Revuelta" of Córdoba, with the participation of teachers from all educational levels and specialties.

Objective: Searching the Internet for health-related information is a complex and dynamic goal-oriented process that places demands on executive functions, which are higher-order cognitive abilities that are known to deteriorate with older age. This study aimed to examine the effects of older age on electronic health (eHealth) search behavior, and to determine whether executive functions played a mediating role in that regard. Method: Fifty younger adults (≤ 35 years) and 41 older adults (≥50 years) completed naturalistic eHealth search tasks involving fact-finding (Fact Search) and symptom diagnosis (Symptom Search), a neurocognitive battery, and a series of questionnaires. Results: Multiple regression models with relevant covariates revealed that older adults were slower and less accurate than younger adults on the eHealth Fact Search task, but not on the eHealth Symptom Search task. Nevertheless, executive functions mediated the relationship between older age and eHealth Fact Search and Symptom Search accuracy. Conclusions: Older adults can experience difficulty searching the Internet for some health-related information, which is at least partly attributable to executive dysfunction. Future studies are needed to determine the benefits of training in the organizational and strategic aspects of Internet search for older adults and whether these findings are applicable to clinical populations with executive dysfunction.

Dengan alasan, kebutuhan ekonomi yang sangat dominan.</p><p><em>An event, in human life, can be an inspiration for writing a story. The author, as a part of his society, lifts the niches of human life, into a story. But it must be understood, that the author's experience in everyday life, also affects the subject he wrote.</em><em> </em><em>Today it is undeniable, that highly sophisticated communication technology, has influenced the development of literary works. Media writing literature, no longer through print media such as paper but have been through modern equipment that fit his era.</em><em> </em><em>However, the variety of prose literary works, such as short stories, is able to fill the media space communications. Two authors, who write short stories in the mass media, try to raise issues about the environment. Issues raised, more emphasis on the issue of the natural environment by raising the issue, about the tree as part of human life. The purpose of this research, is to trace the structure of short stories, which raised environmental issues in the composition of the story. To fulfill the purpose of research, the first step of this research, is to approach the structure of the story, which is then linked with the search for the meaning of the story. Very often, behind a story, there is a message to be conveyed to the readers. The form of the message is implied, in the composition of the short story structure. The message conveyed, in both short stories, is a message about the natural environment, which today is never noticed by society. This chapter presents the book’s macrolevel findings about the architecture of political communication and the news media ecosystem in the United States from 2015 to 2018. Two million stories published during the 2016 presidential election campaign are analyzed, along with another 1.9 million stories about Donald Trump’s presidency during his first year. The chapter examines patterns of interlinking between online media sources to understand the relations of authority and credibility among publishers, as well as the media sharing practices of Twitter and Facebook users to elucidate social media attention patterns. The data and mapping reveal not only a profoundly polarized media landscape but stark asymmetry: the right is more insular, skewed towards the extreme, and set apart from the more integrated media ecosystem of the center, center-left, and left.

Disagreements in construction projects often result in litigation that is both time‐consuming and expensive. A dispute review board (DRB) provides a valuable and proven alternative method of dispute resolution. Currently, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) stores DRB reports in portable document format (PDF) with limited search capability. Improving information retrieval of DRB documents and providing a certain level of integration of DRB reports with relevant but heterogeneous data and documents is the key to enhancing the current FDOT DRB system. This paper presents a web‐based data management framework to improve information management processes of the FDOT DRB system by providing key features such as metadata generation, an integrated review process, a simple issue description, member information management, and versatile information search. The new system not only allows DRB members and FDOT construction engineers to store and retrieve DRB reports but also provides more functionality to process those re‐ports. New functionalities include a structured search based on the metadata of DRB reports, an unstructured search using advanced computer technology, and the integration of DRB reports with other related information for analysis. This type of functionality improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the DRB system. Racism in the Aotearoa New Zealand media is the subject of scholarly debate that examines how Māori (Indigenous Peoples of New Zealand) are broadcast in a negative and demeaning light. Literature demonstrates evolving understandings of how the industry places Pākehā (New Zealanders primarily of European descent) interests at the heart of broadcasting. We offer new insights by arguing that the media industry propagates a racial discourse of silencing that sustains widespread ignorance of the ways that Pākehā sensibilities mediate society. We draw attention to a silencing discourse through one televised story in 2018. On-screen interactions reproduce and safeguard a harmonious narrative of settler–Indigenous relations that support ignorance and denial of the structuring force of colonisation, and the Television Code of Broadcasting Practice upholds colour-blind perceptions of discrimination and injustice through liberal rhetoric. These processes ensure that the media industry is complicit in racism and the ongoing oppression of Indigenous peoples.
