Service learning, an expanding pedagogical movement, educates students to volunteer their expertise for the benefit of society. Teachers of business and technical writing can apply this pedagogy by assigning students to write for nonprofits. Such assignments prepare students for both workplace writing and responsible citizenship. To help our profession consider the appropriateness of this pedagogy, this article describes the origins of the movement and proposes a rationale for it in our field. This article then explains sequential projects and teaching methods intended to reduce problems related to collaborative writing for nonprofits. Last, resources are identified to help prepare grant proposals, perhaps the most beneficial kind of document for nonprofits.

College academic writing education must focus on reinforcing authorship. Authorship means that one's identity as an author is reflected throughout the text. Authorship also refers to the identity of a subject who produces knowledge through a dynamic process. However, this process requires the author to actively participate in academic dialogues with other scholars, rather than simply act as a passive recipient of knowledge and discourse in the academic community. This is particularly true when it comes to academic writing. This study presents educational guidelines on how to strengthen authorship based on communication in the academic community. It further explores specific teaching methods by examining several instructive teaching samples. We propose an explicit and specific authorship-enhancing teaching method that could prove particularly useful in process-oriented academic writing. Through theory-based lectures and case studies that critically review previous research as a product of the academic discourse community, we propose explicit and specific educational methods, not only to strengthen authorship among our students, but to also teach them about the certain types and characteristics of academic writing. We also provide education regarding citations and plagiarism by applying explicit theories and using examples from the authorship-enhancement perspective. This study suggests that one-on-one consultations can help students address the difficulties inherent in academic writing. Furthermore, through the process of writing education which aims at strengthening authorship among our students, we can also expect other educational effects to naturally develop as well.

The scenes in the trailer shown are all sorts of interesting and prominent scenesto attract the attention of potential viewers and be able to describe the entire contents of the movie without giving too much information. The trailer was created to promote theatrical release of the movie and the movie trailer was a clip containing all the parts of the advertised movie, shown before other movie screenings in the cinema, and aimed for the audience to come to watch. The best way to teach English is to use interesting material, appropriate teaching methods, the use of technology that can be one of the important and effective support tools. Meta-analysis is essentially a synthesis of a topic taken from several research reports. Based on the synthesis is drawn conclusions about the topic under study. This research uses some similar research results as basic data in conducting studies and conclusions. From the same five studies, it is concluded that Movie Trailer is effective as a learning medium because it can improve understanding in English learning.
