In recent years, with the strong development of the industry, it has created a competitive market. To be able to stand and survive requires businesses to create their own charisma based on the products they create must have the quality, cost and speed quickly. To do that requires businesses to have proper production strategies. Especially for the garment industry, which has a lot of waste in the production process that needs to be eliminated. This study focuses on the construction of standard time sets and standard activities to help eliminate wasted time on hand movements and time spent by workers. The result ca be used to develop the standard operation procedures of the production process.

MODAPTS of Industrial Engineering (IE) work measurement was used for formulating welding hours. It was analyzed the program, operations and motion of production process on the arc welding production site. According to the theory of similar manufacturing principle, the auxiliary operation of the arc welding was divided into standard operation, typical operation and special operation. Their working hours were respectively analyzed and estimated. Arc welding operation time was treated as a set of the basic time and auxiliary operation sequence time. It is more scientific, rationalization and standardization for the welding hours, and improves the efficiency of formulating welding hours. A using example was given.

AbstractRhamnolipids have recently attracted considerable attentions because of their excellent biosurfactant performance and potential applications in agriculture, environment, biomedicine, etc., but severe foaming causes the high cost of production, restraining their commercial production and applications. To reduce or eliminate the foaming, numerous explorations have been focused on foaming factors and fermentation strategies, but a systematic summary and discussion are still lacking. Additionally, although these studies have not broken through the bottleneck of foaming, they are conducive to understanding the foaming mechanism and developing more effective rhamnolipids production strategies. Therefore, this review focuses on the effects of fermentation components and control conditions on foaming behavior and fermentation strategies responded to the severe foaming in rhamnolipids fermentation and systematically summarizes 6 impact factors and 9 fermentation strategies. Furthermore, the potentialities of 9 fermentation strategies for large-scale production are discussed and some further strategies are suggested. We hope this review can further facilitate the understanding of foaming factors and fermentation strategies as well as conducive to developing the more effective large-scale production strategies to accelerate the commercial production process of rhamnolipids.

This study examines the standard setting of processing time in increasing effectiveness and efficiency. The standard time is the time needed to complete a certain task at a speed that continues without causing bad results. The purpose of this study is to set a standard production process time to achieve effectiveness and efficiency of production. This research is a study that combines field research and literature. Methods of data collection using observation, interview and documentation techniques, while data analysis techniques using time study analysis. The results showed that the standard time of 860 minutes that had been determined by the company was a deviation of the time study of + 8% so that the realization of the next production process, the company could save on the use of production process time of 66.76 minutes.

Strengthening the impact of the production and economic mechanism on increasing the economic efficiency of the production process and the quality of work is possible on the basis of choosing the most effective ways to achieve high end results of the national economic system of the country. One of these ways is the inclusion in the system of controlled parameters of the economic parameters of quality cost management, the use of which guarantees the quality coordination system to reach a given economically justified state. Adjustment of quality costs consists in maintaining the established proportions between the costs of quality assurance (quality) and the mismatch of work quality indicators, which is achieved by controlling the level of defects, maintaining certain conditions, rules and norms corresponding to the optimal mode of work on quality assurance and the optimal value costs. The quality assurance process is based on a classification represented by a range of activities aimed at ensuring the quality of tools, objects of labour, living labour and information data at all stages of the production process. The costing methodology is based on the selection of the costing object and costing units. Representation of work on quality assurance as an object of calculation, and hours of work or total amount of work as calculation units allows at the right time to present in value terms both the quality assurance process as a whole and the cost of quality for the product. The recommended mechanism of the cost management system in general is focused on a wide range of enterprises and associations, and its use allows to obtain the effect of minimizing the cost of quality, as well as improve the quality of work to ensure product quality, ice directly contribute to production efficiency and quality. Increase of economic benefit at the expense of cost control system solutions of the problem in the future is possible if its implementation on the basis of the theory of functional management development, conversion of static model into a dynamic coordination costs.

Despite the obvious compromises to efficiency that must be made when producing small quantities, the shipbuilding industry sometimes rules out or fails to consider some of the efficient techniques and methodologies of mass production manufacturing. In this paper a comparison and contrast is made between the methods of mass production and small quantity manufacturing. Also revealed in this paper are the benefits from the use of a mass production process engineering technique and a methods analysis technique during the performance of the National Shipbuilding Research Program SP-8 Panel Task ES-8-21. The use of a mass production process engineering technique is explained as a solution to a methods problem of excessive travel for tools in shipyard equipment installation by outside machinists. The paper concludes with a promotion of this specific application of mass production methodology in shipbuilding and a promotion of the re-evaluation of mass production techniques by shipyards as a vehicle for productivity improvement.

Through the process analysis of vehicle damper which involved methods of IE(Industrial Engineering), we can find work load imbalanced procedures. In that way, it changed process procedure, shorten the distance in logistics transportation, changed the chaotic production field. At the same time, we used process analysis and production analysis on the key operation, reallocated word and improved arrangement of work field [, laid off unnecessary works, shortened the working time and production cycle. As a result, the working intensity is reduced.

Research goal of this study was to know the program production process of Liputan Cilik DAAI TV in Jakarta. Method used in this study was a qualitative method with analysis participatory observation and in-depth interviews with the crew involved in this program. Result of this study finds that there are three stages of the program production process, they are pre production, production and post-production programs, and processes of SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportuniy, Threats). This program has done production in accordance with the SOP (standard operation procedure) although it is aired on television non-commercial. This program does not only provide the entertainment, but also contains the elements education.

ABSTRACT Quality is an image of a company. PT Berkat Manunggal Jaya is a company that its primary activity is to assemble the generator units. This company wants to improve its quality in its production processes. The Initial stage is to determine the amount of quality cost since it hasn’t been measured yet, especially in the production processes. This is because there are several cost categories that are within the company but the company still has not been able to measure them, which include the cost of diesel fuel for repeated inspection and the amount of diesel fuel that was carried when generators are delivered to the customers. The measuring method of this quality cost is using the Cost of Quality (COQ) model which details of the cost categories are based on Activity Based Costing (ABC) method. This method is suitable because it uses direct costs’ account, for instance, the use of materials as well as indirect costs as corporate overhead costs. The detail work instructions for the inspection of the production process between departments are provided based on existing procedures in the company. This is done to reduce the unacceptable product-in-progress when the production process is in operation. After calculating and put in all the activities into the four categories of Cost of Quality, the total Cost of Quality compared with the prices of sold unit from every generator set type are 1.77% for 680 KVA type open, 1.74% for 1300 KVA first type silent, 1.74% for 1300 KVA second type silent, 2.86% for 680 KVA type silent, 1.28% for 1300 KVA first type open, 1.27% for 1300 KVA second type open, 1.13% for 1740 KVA first type open, 1.13% for 1740 KVA second type open. The recommended solution for the reduction of Cost of Quality is to modify the procedure inspection flow in the company to reduce failure cost, especially in the final inspection costs (repeated test load processes).
