Based on Nielsen's conclusions, ISO standards, and metrics efficiency, problem-based and user ratings, mobile interfaces of three applications for searching public transport connections were evaluated and compared. The research was conducted using an eye tracking goggle and surveys on a group of five students of the Lublin University of Technology. The same functionalities of applications were tested.

The article analyses the features of the state electronic services development based on the results of a St Petersburg residents survey. The survey, the main purpose of which was to identify the opinion of citizens about the relevance, level of trust and attitude towards the services of Smart City, was conducted in March 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. We used the data from previous studies for a comparative analysis of the Smart City concept development. As a result, we identified the most popular electronic services, as well as the factors that influence the success of their implementation. The results showed that the most relevant services for the residents of St. Petersburg are electronic services in the healthcare and medicine (78%), safe city services (70%), two types of electronic services in the field of transport: for passengers of public transport (63%) and owners of personal vehicles (61%). The parameters of functionality, trust and development of services are determined and analyzed additionally.

In our research work, we study transport card security issues. One of the questions of our study is its relevance in the world and particular in Kazakhstan. Therefore, in this work, we conducted research on the market of transport cards in the world and Kazakhstan. As part of the study, we searched for answers to the following questions: what technologies are used to accept payment by transport cards, in which countries the electronic ticketing system has been introduced, in which cities of Kazakhstan have electronic ticketing systems been implemented, what technologies are used in Kazakhstan. As a result, we showed that the popularity of using NFC payment in the world and in Kazakhstan is growing. We also analyzed the existing electronic ticketing systems in Kazakhstan, made a comparative analysis and got a comparative table.

This paper investigates how bicycling can be promoted as a safe and feasible means of transport for everyone and for all trip purposes. The policies and programs needed to encourage a broad spectrum of social groups to cycle are the same policies and programs that encourage high overall levels of cycling: extensive systems of separate cycling facilities, intersection modifications and priority bicycle traffic signals, traffic calming of neighborhoods, safe and convenient bike parking, coordination and integration of cycling with public transport, traffic education and training for both cyclists and motorists, and traffic laws that favor cyclists and pedestrians. To show how this multifaceted, coordinated approach actually works, the paper focuses on cycling trends and policies in the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany. The national-level comparative analysis is supplemented with case studies of large and small cities in each country.

Abstract This paper aims to perform comparative analysis of urban transport in selected global cities and to verify the existence of clusters. It was based on data source from the World Organization Data Urban. It used Indicators proposed in ISO 37120 Sustainable Community Development. The test procedure exploited taxonomic methods as Ward’s hierarchical analysis and the deagglomerating k-means analysis. The empirical analysis comprises four indicators: (I) high capacity public transport system, (II) light passenger public transport system, (III) annual number of public transport trips and (IV) number of personal automobiles. Main results are the classification of selected global cities, identification and characterization of trends in the field of urban transport in each group. The empirical analysis confirms a substantial diversity of urban transport in selected cities. These differences arise from their past, geographical location, size, different reactions to the transition process and the different economic structures. The taxonomic analysis of the urban transport in selected cities separated five independent classes typological. This elaboration aims to examine the role of urban transport in city management based on a literature review, databases and reports of the European Union.

A properly functioning public transport is one of the most important components of urban mobility for the population. Due to spatial inhomogeneity and overall socio-economic differences within a city, there are often considerable disproportions in the quality of transport services within its districts. Also, the city of Krakow is no exception in this case. For a comparison of public transport accessibility in 18 Krakow districts, 7 major quantitative and 5 minor indicators were created. These indicators include the most important characteristics of transport services such as accessibility, frequency, connectivity of connections, and ratios of tram public transport subsystem. The resulting values give a fairly comprehensive picture of the quality of the transport services. Overall higher values for most indicators occur in the central districts of the city. However, due to the complexity of the observed characteristics, it is possible to discover significant differences in the structure of individual indicators. Peripheral districts reach higher amplitudes, which means that in some aspect they have even better transport services than the city center. Yet, at the same time, we also find opposite extremes here, highly below-average values for most other indicators. A detailed analysis of the results provides a unique perspective on the disparities among districts. It can also serve for specific identification of strengths and weaknesses of transport services and its possible optimization.

This article discusses one of the possible ways to combat the congestion of city roads in the form of intercepting parking lots. The reasons for the appearance of traffic jams in the city are considered. The principle of operation of intercepting parking lots in St. Petersburg and Moscow is presented, as well as a comparative analysis of the experience of using these projects between the two cities. Shown are the projected data regarding the development of the project of intercepting parking lots in St. Petersburg. The main ways of placing cars in the parking lot are presented.
