COVID–19 has caused havoc almost throughout the world and India is also a strong victim of the same as the number of infected/positive cases is increasing drastically day by day. Quarantine i.e. a restriction on the movement of people which is intended to prevent the spread of disease is an unpleasant experience for those who undergo it. Separation from the loved ones, loss of freedom,uncertainty over the disease status, and boredom can create dramatic effects. Occupational stress ofJob Stress refers to the job-related nervousness and anxiety which affects the emotion and/or physical health of the people.This paper is a modest attempt to understand the people’s perception about quarantine and its impact on Occupational Stress due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in India.Data have been collected from 159 respondents by circulating the questionnaire through electronic mode. The collected data have been analysed by applying Structural Equation Modelling (SEM).The findings reveal that there is no significant impact on occupational stress by people’s perceptionof quarantine.

This article explores which antecedents explain intentions to adopt a mobile coaching app. To that end, this study describes a coaching service designed to guide/encourage students throughout their studies in order to validate a new model of planned behavior based on the Technology Acceptance Model and the Goal-Directed Behavioral theory. The methodology included a short qualitative study and an online survey to examine the theoretical model which is based on scales tested in previous studies. The convenience sample is composed of students (Bachelor and Master/MBA) with the results analyzed using structural equation modelling to test the proposed model's causal structure. The results show different adoption patterns by gender and type of school.

Social media sites are becoming more popular throughout the world. These sites are adopting advertisement supported business models to generate revenues and become profitable. Advertisement supported models are the preferred choice for these site with regards to the belief that users are not willing to pay money to use these ever free sites. In this study this belief was questioned and Facebook, the most popular of social media sites was chosen as the setting of the study. The attitudes towards social media advertisements and their antecedents were measured and their potential effects on users’ willingness to pay for not seeing ads were tested. A questionnaire was developed using well-cited and tested scales from the relevant literature and it was implemented over Internet to Facebook users. 281 out of 327 collected questionnaires were used in the analysis following a screening process. The analysis was carried out using structural equation modelling. The findings indicate that attitudes and its antecedents affect th intentions to pay for not seeing ads negatively.

This study aims to investigate the effect of soft skills and ethics and value on the employers’ willingness to continue recruiting Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) graduates, together with the moderating effect of knowledge on the relationship between soft skills and the employers’ willingness to continue recruiting UMT graduates. The study’s respondents comprised of 208 employers in Malaysia who responded through an online survey using Google Forms. The survey data was then analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM), indicating that soft skills positively affected the employers’ willingness to continue recruiting UMT graduates. Nevertheless, ethics and value were found to be insignificant factors on the employers’ willingness to continue recruiting UMT graduates. It was also revealed that knowledge had the moderating effect on the relationship between soft skills and the employers’ willingness to continue recruiting UMT graduates. Therefore, universities were recommended to invest in soft skills and knowledge education to ensure that graduates met the employers’ professional recruitment standards in areas of expertise.

Purpose This paper aims to examine the role of religiosity on consumers’ forgiveness when celebrities get involved in transgression. The celebrity’s reaction and its impact on consumers’ forgiveness is tested as well. In addition, consumers’ attitudes towards the brand and celebrity as well as purchase intention for the endorsed brand are examined both before and after the transgression. Design/methodology/approach Data (n = 356) were collected through a self-administered online survey and analysed though structural equation modelling in AMOS 26. Findings The results show that consumers’ attitude towards celebrity, brand and purchase intention gets weaker once the celebrity gets into transgression. Consumers tend to forgive more if the celebrity apologises (vs denies) for the wrongdoing. The hypothesised relationship between attitude towards celebrity and purchase intention did not sustain after the transgression. In addition, consumers’ intrinsic religiosity strengthens the relationship between attitude towards the celebrity and purchase intention. Practical implications The findings of this research present valuable implications for brands practitioners. Brands should formulate actionable contingency plans to mitigate the negative ramifications of celebrity transgressions. Specifically, intrinsic religiosity and celebrity apologies should assist consumers in forgiving the transgression and negate the implications that could have arisen if the celebrity instead denied the transgressions. Originality/value This research extends the previous research by examining religiosity and forgiveness within the context of celebrity transgressions. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is one of the first few research studies to consider the role religiosity plays in consumers’ intention to forgive celebrity transgressions.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to ravage the world, with the United States being highly affected. A vaccine provides the best hope for a permanent solution to controlling the pandemic. However, to be effective, a vaccine must be accepted and used by a large majority of the population. Structural equation modelling was used to analyze the relationships of several factors with attitudes toward potential COVID-19 vaccination. The survey was administered to 316 respondents across the United States by a survey corporation. Prior vaccine usage and attitudes predicted attitudes towards COVID-19 vaccination. Assessment of the severity of COVID-19 for the United States was also predictive. Approximately 68% of all respondents were supportive of being vaccinated for COVID-19, but side effects, efficacy, and length of testing remained concerns. Longer testing, increased efficacy and development in the United States were significantly associated with increased vaccine acceptance. Messages promoting COVID-19 vaccination should seek to alleviate the concerns of those who are already vaccine-hesitant. Messaging directed at the benefits of vaccination for the United States as a country would address the second predictive factor. Enough time should be taken to allay concerns about both short and long-term side effects before a vaccine is released.

<p>The requirements in entering the world of work today demand professional skills and abilities according to the needs of the organization. Therefore, effective marketing strategies become important for vocational colleges to get prospective students. There are several studies that examine the factors that influence students' decisions in choosing a college, but research focusing on vocational college research is still very limited. This study aims to analyze the determinants that influence students' decisions in choosing a course of study at a Vocational College. This study was conducted by an online survey of 158 respondents who were studying at three Vocational Universities in Banten Province, namely ASM Lepisi, Politeknik LP3I Jakarta Tangerang Campus, and Politeknik PGRI Banten. Analyze the data using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Finally, the author expects the empirical results of this study to be useful as a reference for marketing practitioners of Vocational Universities in West Java and Banten, in particular and Indonesia in general.</p>

The development of green marketing has received the attention of various levels of business around the world. The promotion of green marketing is now shaping all business sectors' practices, including the property industry. Yogyakarta is one of the cities whose industry has been developing so fast. This study explored green purchase intention to succeed in green marketing promotion. It examined how the relationship between green purchase intention with the variables supporting it and measuring its value. This research was completed with two methods: identifying the relationship between the green purchase intention variables (endogenous) with variables and their indicators (exogenous) that affect the value of green purchase intention. The identification using structural equation modelling. While the measurement of green purchase intention values was carried out using a dynamic system simulation. The data was collected through the survey method on 400 sample sizes. The results obtained, a significant relationship between 4 exogenous variables and the endogenous variable and also obtained some prediction value per unit time.

The lingering problem of poverty has prompted many countries to adopt community-based development strategy towards improving the Quality of Life (QoL) of their citizens. Numerous studies have focused on assessing QoL by measuring the manifested (measured) variables and ignored the significant contribution of some “latent” factors. Using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), this paper investigated the factors that influence improvement in the QoL in a Community-based Poverty Reduction Project (CPRP) in Nigeria. The model indicates that the measured variables cause only 36% (R2 = 0.36) of the reduction in poverty level of the project beneficiaries. This finding implies that there are other “hidden” factors responsible for the improvement in the quality of life.© 2016. The Authors. The purpose of this paper is to extend behavioural theory and segmentation application. Specifically, this paper draws on three segmentation bases and behavioural theory that extends focus beyond individual psychological predispositions to form segments within the healthy eating context for young adult university students (20–35 years) in Queensland, Australia. Participants were invited to take part in an online survey via email and through face to face intercept to ensure a diverse cross section was obtained. Structural equation modelling revealed that the Motivation, Opportunity, and Ability (MOA) framework can be utilised to explain healthful eating behaviour and two-step cluster analysis uncovered two distinct segments with education, motivation to eat healthily and Turconi’s eating behaviour scores being the most important variables within the wider multivariate segment formation. This paper contributes to literature in the following ways. First, it confirms the importance of behavioural bases in segment formation and supports inclusion of other bases, namely demographics and psychographics. Next, it provides evidence of the value of including behavioural theory, which extends focus beyond what individuals think to understand how the environment may support them. Finally, this paper demonstrates that the MOA framework together with eating behaviour and demographic factors (education) can produce theoretically informed segments.

Although enough research has been carried out on factors inspiring women to start and operate business, there is a need to assess the role of various factors impacting resilience of Indian women entrepreneurs. Women entrepreneurs all over the world are struggling, adapting diverse strategies and innovating in the face of COVID-19, to fight against the crisis and bouncing back to their normal stage. The present study aims at identifying the direct relationships among selected factors in influencing the resilience of women entrepreneurs. The sample for the study comprised 396 women entrepreneurs from different regions of India. This is a survey-based study; a self-administered questionnaire was used for the collection of data. Analysis of the data collected was done using analysis of moment structures based structural equation modelling. Findings of the analysis state a significant and positive influence of entrepreneurial characteristics, resourcefulness, networking, adaptability and continuity in forming the resilient attitude of women entrepreneurs when faced with a crisis situation. The study can be useful to women entrepreneurs, organizations, government and other institutions extending support to entrepreneurs.
