“THE GOSPEL OF PAULO”: ANALYSIS FROM THE THOUGHT OF JAMES D.G. DUNNAbstractThe article aims to explain some aspects of the "Gospel of Paul" axiom as presented in the works of James Dunn. His research highlights aspects of Paul’s Gospel inherited from Scripture and the Gospel of Christ. The break with Judaism occurs with the resurrection of Christ. In fact, the death and resurrection of Christ inaugurates a new covenant, new life, spiritual life. The study shows James Dunn's contribution in highlighting the tension between new and old, between the historical-salvific and apocalyptic perspective in Pauline theology. Contributions are not opposed. The apocalyptic genre is common in the Jewish and Christian tradition. Thus in Paul's new perspective, the opposition between Judaism and Christianity, faith and works is not accentuated. The Gospel of Paul is good news that eliminates antagonisms and includes differences. Keywords: Perspective. Paul. Gospel. Jesus. Judaism.

Modern medicine questions the link between nature, society, and body through the development of the medical technology and the increase of life expectancy. Based on anthropological and sociological resources, this paper will try to unpack the Western vision of an ill body and the treatments that are established in response. This critical reflection on neonatal resuscitation will lead me to propose the need to re-evaluate such system. I will use a transcultural approach when analyzing the care that is given to newborns presenting a critical vital prognostic, while drawing specifically on French-based research. In its attempt to postpone death, biomedicine has allowed for humans to challenge nature and its inexorable processes, and defy the physiological laws. However, what is the price for this progress? In order to tackle these sensitive issues, it is important to leave our judgements behind and to study our therapeutic practices with a new perspective.

Intersectionality is a travelling concept rooted in Black Feminism that has recently been adopted by Nordic gender research. The concept has been transformed on its way from the US to the Danish/Nordic context. The purpose with this article is to contribute to a critical reflection of the concept and discuss its potentials from a Danish/Nordic context. Adopting a social science optic we first discuss some tensions between the original American understanding of the concept and the special – predominantly poststructural and postcolonial  conceptualisation given in the Danish/ Nordic context. Secondly we present two analytical frames able to analyse the dynamic interaction between different forms of power and between structures, institutions and identities. We argue that  intersectionality is not a coherent theory but a new perspective able to contain different and competing theoretical and methodological approaches.

Background. The idea of empowerment permeates the occupational therapy literature yet has received little critical reflection from occupational therapy’s theorists. Purpose. This paper aims to explore the concept of empowerment and highlight a recent definition that resonates with occupational therapists’ core values. Key Issues. Empowerment is generally understood to be a process of bestowing power and giving ability to someone deficient in both. However, a new definition provides a framework for understanding how empowerment might enhance people’s capabilities. Implications. The World Bank’s depiction of empowerment fits well with occupational therapists’ beliefs in the importance of the ability and opportunity to “do,” providing a framework for action. This framework focuses on people’s capabilities: their freedom—or opportunity—to choose what they wish to do and to be and their ability to act on these wishes. Moreover, the World Bank’s assertion that empowered people have freedom of both choice and action suggests empowerment is a relevant concept for occupational therapists.

Destination management organizations are functional structures that manage and market the tourist destinations operating to facilitate the cooperation among different stakeholders. A successful DMO supports tourism development, especially when tourism is an important economic driver for a destination. The idea of building different forms of DMOs and the concept of networking have guided tourism governance choices in different initiatives conducted in many countries. This chapter analyses the model of DMO adopted in Italy by Regione Toscana comparing it with the variable geometry approach by Beritelli et al. The study offers a critical reflection on the model of DMO, relevant from the perspectives of governance and management.

Ten years after Quatre mille marches. Un rêve chinois (2004), La Lenteur des montagnes (2014) reasserts Ying Chen's enduring critical engagement with the creative process. Chen has interrogated her own personal trajectory as a woman and a writer, more specifically as an ‘écrivain migratoire’ (her phrase): ‘Je vis la migration et l'écriture comme une seule et même expérience.’ Régine Robin's desire to ‘fictionnaliser l'inquiétante étrangeté que crée le choc culturel’ (1993) might be at play in Chen's series of novels ended with La Rive est loin (2013). However, it is the parallel quests of the female protagonist and that of the writer unfolding and evolving alongside that are of special interest. Having relinquished familiar bearings and language, both are seeking a new perspective and a new voice. If dis-location is at the heart of the exilic experience, writing is a way not only of re-grounding the self but also of bringing together old and new cultural landscapes. This essay will examine how critical reflection in its dialogical form has always been intertwined with Chen's creative project and informs it.

AbstractContemporary interpretation of Paul is heir to a tradition of Paulinism in which Paul's gospel is almost universally viewed as being in opposition to Judaism. Even the advent of the New Perspective on Paul has not yet succeeded in convincing the majority of scholars that there is no basic incompatibility between Paul and Judaism. One reason for a negative response to the New Perspective is that the acceptance of this viewpoint seems (necessarily) to imply that the great Reformers were somewhat deficient in their understanding of Paul. Their own basic principle of 'reformed and always being reformed' demands, however, a critique of all traditions, including this one. Moreover, inasmuch as modern Pauline scholarship is dependent upon the 19th century invention of the theory of legalism as a pejorative description of Jewish religion, there is a resultant failure to view the Judaism that nurtured Paul, and in which he was continuously in dialogue, other than apologetically or polemically. This is because Christian Pauline interpretation tends to involve a concern for self-understanding and identity that necessarily differentiates the modern agenda from that of Paul, since this concern springs from Enlightenment categories and is therefore foreign to the Apostle. It is the contention of this essay that Paul's letters demonstrate that he was no sectarian, vilifying Judaism for the promotion of a new religion. Since Paul's identity, even after his vision of Christ, remained distinctly Jewish, scholars cannot justifiably use Judaism as a negative foil for Christian self-understanding. Christian faith as such demands neither the denigration of Judaism nor the subversion of Pauline theology into a subjective search for identity.

Correlacionismo. Pluralismo jurídico. Différence. Abstract: This research aimed to establish a critical reflection about the problem of the commitment of the constitutional interpretation by the STF (Brazilian Supreme Court) with the traditional referents of the Law. Starting from a rereading of the Kelsenian problem of the indeterminacy of language, we want to present the problem of the referent to the discussion, that is, the problem of the discretionary choice not only of the semiological relation between meaning and significant, which is the problem of judicial decisionism, but the problem of the arbitrary choice of the symbolic system that constitutes the interpretative reference of the judicial decision in each case. Our hypothesis is that the manner of constitutional interpretation by STF is characterized by a semantic externalism typical of the Différence paradigm. In order to achieve these results, will be used as methodology the theoretical contributions of the new speculative realism by Quentin Meillassoux, in order to make explicit the co-relationism present in the Brazilian constitutional hermeneutics and present a new perspective of discussion on the problem of the legal referent. As a result, we find that the problem of constitutional hermeneutics can be understood not only as a problem of indetermination by "open" language of constitutional principles, either as a problem of subjectivist interpretation by judges, but also as a problem inscribed in the power relations between legal institutions (judiciary, public defender, private advocacy and academy) for the occupation of the spaces of production of law meaning. Keywords: Constitutional hermeneutics. This book draws upon the resources of both contemporary analytic theology and the theological interpretation of the New Testament in order to investigate a set of important issues in Christology. It is the first work in analytic Christology to draw upon both recent scholarship in biblical studies and recent contributions to analytic philosophy and theology. This book explores the themes of union with Christ and the faith of Christ as these are developed by the “apocalyptic” and “New Perspective” interpreters of Pauline theology, it offers an careful analysis of recent dogmatic proposals about the identity of Christ and the doctrine of election, it provides an examination of debates over the subordination of the Son in Hebrews, it probes the relationship of the incarnate Son to his Father in Johannine theology, and it offers an exegetically grounded theological engagement with recent work on the place of logic in the doctrine of the incarnation.
