The ground floors of buildings usually have high loads from racks and other storage equipment in industrial buildings and logistics centers. Such types of buildings commonly require lift trucks. Therefore, there are special requirements for flatness tolerance across and along the driving track of truck lifts. Structural design solutions must be optimized and sustainable. The article reviews the behavior of soils and the importance of the actual behavior assessment of soils during the design of the ground floor on the elastic subgrade. The behavior of the ground floor’s areas above pile foundations that support the building’s columns is essential. Calculation results show the impact of subgrade stiffness on the behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) floor slab, especially in areas above pile foundations, where the stiffness of subgrade is much higher. The research provides a solution to achieve the required level of settlement dissimilarity in areas where there are piles underneath a building slab under the columns. The paper proposes a new integrated method for the evaluation of the subgrade reaction coefficient above the pile cap. The proposed method optimizes design time and eliminates the need for specialized geotechnical software. Obtained results confirmed the efficiency of the proposed design method.

For industrial buildings and logistics centres truck lifts are usually used. Therefore, there are special requirements for flatness tolerance of ground floor. The ground floor settlements differences in selected distances are limited. The article reviews the behaviour of soils and the importance of the actual behaviour assessment of soils during the design of floor slab on elastic subgrade. Particular attention is given to the behaviour of floor slab areas above pile foundations that support the building’s columns. Calculation results show the impact of subgrade stiffness on the behaviour of the floor slab, especially in areas above pile foundations, where the stiffness of subgrade is much higher. The article presents a solution for achieving the required level of settlements’ differences in areas where pile foundations for the building’s columns under the ground slab are used. The paper proposes an efficient engineering method to reduce ground slab settlements differences. The results of performed calculations confirm the efficiency of presented method.

Relevance. The problem of studying karst-suffusion processes is that soluble rocks in Russia occupy large areas. The Belgorod region is rich in Cretaceous deposits, which are widespread throughout the territory. Due to the fact that carbonate rocks are susceptible to dissolution by surface and groundwater leads to the formation of karst forms. Such forms open and form places of karst waters’ accumulation, open fissure and cave systems and are becoming areas with an increased environmental hazard to the life of people, infrastructure, civil and industrial buildings. Dangerous exogenous geomorphological processes negatively affect the economic development of the region. The purpose of the article is to study the factors influencing the development and distribution of karst and suffusion processes, the reasons for their occurrence, as well as the impact on the environment. Among hazardous exogenous geological processes, karst-suffusion processes are the most unpredictable. Their occurrence has negative consequences for the economics and economic activities of the region. The main methods used in this study are observation method, laboratory experiment and mathematical modeling. The method of mathematical modeling has relatively recently come into the use by the researchers and allows for a better reproduction of processes on physical models. This study is aimed at determining the interaction of karst and suffusion processes, as well as assessing their impact on the environment. The zoning of the karst and suffusion distribution on the territory of the Belgorod region has made it possible to identify the causes of these processes. To prevent the development and spread of karst-suffusion processes, an integrated approach to the analysis of manifestation, drawing up a forecast plan and measures to counter negative consequences is required. Based on the results of the study, measures were proposed to minimize damage to agricultural land, residential and farm buildings, as well as measures to combat karst and suffusion processes. It should be noted that the results of the study and the developed measures to prevent the negative consequences of karst and suffusion processes can be used in human agricultural activities, construction of civil and industrial enterprises, their reconstruction, laying of communications and development of carbonate new deposits

Perishable products, which include medical and pharmaceutical items as well as food products, are quite common in commerce and industries. Developing efficient network designs for storage and distribution of perishable products plays a prominent role in the cost and quality of these products. This paper aims to investigate and analyze the impact of applying an integrated approach for network design of perishable products. For this purpose, the problem has been formulated as a mixed integer nonlinear mathematical model that integrates inventory control and facility location decisions. To solve the integrated model, a memetic algorithm (MA) is developed in this study. For verification of the proposed algorithm, its results are compared with the results of an adapted Lagrangian relaxation heuristic algorithm from the literature. Moreover, sensitivity analysis of the main parameters of the model is conducted to compare the results of the integrated approach with a decoupled method. The results show that as the products become more perishable, application of an integrated method becomes more reasonable in comparison with the decoupled one.

Turning to the new educational paradigm, the research paper considers the conditions for ensuring the effective-ness of authentic assessment of students ' achievements within the competence approach and the transition from traditional knowledge control to tests developed on the basis of the theory of pedagogical measurements. Special attention is paid to independent assessment as a tool for stimulating learning activities, as well as to the justifica-tion of the pattern design method used in the develop-ment of measurement tools. The experimental basis of the study is based on the results of an independent assess-ment of educational achievements of students of the sen-ior level of secondary vocational education in social studies in several educational organizations. As a result of the survey of participants in independent testing, the formation of a stable positive learning motivation is not-ed. The relationship with the assessment of the impact on educational motivation is confirmed by the respondents ' attitude to the authentic assessment procedure on the part of participants in the assessment process: school-children, teachers, and parents. As a result, it was re-vealed that all subjects of the educational process evalu-ate the impact of the proposed method of assessment on educational motivation from a positive side.

Honey bees and the pollination services they provide are fundamental for agriculture and biodiversity. Agrochemical products and other classes of contaminants, such as trace elements and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, contribute to the general decline of bees’ populations. For this reason, effects, and particularly sublethal effects of contaminants need to be investigated. We conducted a review of the existing literature regarding the type of effects evaluated in Apis mellifera, collecting information about regions, methodological approaches, the type of contaminants, and honey bees’ life stages. Europe and North America are the regions in which A. mellifera biological responses were mostly studied and the most investigated compounds are insecticides. A. mellifera was studied more in the laboratory than in field conditions. Through the observation of the different responses examined, we found that there were several knowledge gaps that should be addressed, particularly within enzymatic and molecular responses, such as those regarding the immune system and genotoxicity. The importance of developing an integrated approach that combines responses at different levels, from molecular to organism and population, needs to be highlighted in order to evaluate the impact of anthropogenic contamination on this pollinator species.

The Loess Hilly–Gully region (LHGR) is the most serious soil erosion area in the world. For the small watershed with high management in this area, the scientific problem that has been paid attention to in recent years is the impact of the land consolidation project on the erosion environment in the gully region. In this study, the 3D simulation method of vegetation, eroded sediment and pollutant transport was innovated based on the principles of erosion sediment dynamics and similarity theory, and the impacts of GLCP were analyzed on the erosion environment at different scales. The verification results show that the design method and the scale conversion relationship (geometric scale: λl = 100) were reasonable and could simulate the transport process on the complex underlying surface of a small watershed. Compared with untreated watersheds, a significant change was the current flood peak lagging behind the sediment peak. There were two important critical values of GLCP impact on the erosion environment. The erosion transport in HMSW had no change when the proportion was less than 0.85%, and increased obviously when it was greater than 3.3%. The above results have important theoretical and practical significance for watershed simulation and land-use management in HMSW.

A new design method for trajectory shaping guidance laws with the impact angle constraint is proposed in this study. The basic idea is that the multiplier introduced to combine the equations for the terminal constraints is used to shape a flight trajectory as desired. To this end, the general form of impact angle control guidance (IACG) is first derived as a function of an arbitrary constraint-combining multiplier using the optimal control. We reveal that the constraint-combining multiplier satisfying the kinematics can be expressed as a function of state variables. From this result, the constraint-combining multiplier to achieve a desired trajectory can be obtained. Accordingly, when the desired trajectory is designed to satisfy the terminal constraints, the proposed method directly can provide a closed form of IACG laws that can achieve the desired trajectory. The potential significance of the proposed result is that various trajectory shaping IACG laws that can cope with various guidance goals can be readily determined compared to existing approaches. In this study, several examples are shown to validate the proposed method. The results also indicate that previous IACG laws belong to the subset of the proposed result. Finally, the characteristics of the proposed guidance laws are analyzed through numerical simulations.
