Divinylsiloxane-bis-benzocyclobutene (DVS-BCB) has attracted significant attention as an intermediate bonding material, owing to its excellent properties. However, its applications are limited, due to damage to peripheral devices at high curing temperatures and unoptimized compressive pressure. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the compressive pressure condition for DVS-BCB bonding. This study demonstrates an optimization process for void-free DVS-BCB bonding. The process for obtaining void-free DVS-BCB bonding is a vacuum condition of 0.03 Torr, compressive pressure of 0.6 N/mm2, and curing temperature of 250 °C for 1 h. Herein, we define two factors affecting the DVS-BCB bonding quality through the DVS-BCB bonding mechanism. For strong DVS-BCB bonding, void-free and high-density chemical bonds are required. Therefore, we observed the DVS-BCB bonding under various compressive pressure conditions at a relatively low temperature (250 °C). The presence of voids and high-density crosslinking density was examined through near-infrared confocal laser microscopy and Fourier-transform infrared microscopy. We also evaluated the adhesion of the DVS-BCB bonding, using a universal testing machine. The results suggest that the good adhesion with no voids and high crosslinking density was obtained at the compressive pressure condition of 0.6 N/mm2. We believe that the proposed process will be of great significance for applications in semiconductor and device packaging technologies.

One-pot hydrothermal preparation of Ca3Cr2Si3O12 uvarovite nanoparticles under alkaline conditions was investigated for the first time. The experimental parameters selected for the study considered the concentration of the KOH solvent solution (0.01 to 5.0 M), the agitation of the autoclave (50 rpm), and the nominal content of Si4+ (2.2–3.0 mole). Fine uvarovite particles were synthesised at 200 °C after a 3 h interval in a highly concentrated 5.0 M KOH solution. The crystallisation of single-phase Ca3Cr2Si3O12 particles proceeded free of by-products via a one-pot process involving a single-step reaction. KOH solutions below 2.5 M and water hindered the crystallisation of the Ca3Cr2Si3O12 particles. The hydrothermal treatments carried out with stirring (50 rpm) and non-stirring triggered the crystallisation of irregular anhedral particles with average sizes of 8.05 and 12.25 nm, respectively. These particles spontaneously assembled into popcorn-shaped agglomerates with sizes varying from 66 to 156 nm. All the powders prepared by the present method exhibited CIE-L*a*b* values that correspond to the Victoria green colour spectral space and have a high near infrared reflectance property. The particle size and structural crystallinity are factors affecting the Victoria pigment optical properties, such as CIE-L*a*b* values, green tonality, and near-infrared reflectance.

Abstract Aims Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) has high potential for analysing peat cores, but methodologies are deficient. We aimed for robust peat type classification and humification estimation. We also explored other factors affecting peat spectral properties. Methods We used two laboratory setups: VNIR (visible to near-infrared) and SWIR (shortwave infrared) for high resolution imaging of intact peat profiles with fen-bog transitions. Peat types were classified with support vector machines, indices were developed for von Post estimation, and K-means clustering was used to analyse stratigraphic patterns in peat quality. With separate experiments, we studied spectral effects of drying and oxidation. Results Despite major effects, oxidation and water content did not impede robust HSI classification. The accuracy between Carex peat and Sphagnum peat in validation was 80% with VNIR and 81% with SWIR data. The spectral humification indices had accuracies of 82% with VNIR and 56%. Stratigraphic HSI patterns revealed that 36% of peat layer shifts were inclined by over 20 degrees. Spectral indices were used to extrapolate visualisations of element concentrations. Conclusions HSI provided reliable information of basic peat quality and was useful in visual mapping, that can guide sampling for other analyses. HSI can manage large amounts of samples to widen the scope of detailed analysis beyond single profiles and it has wide potential in peat research beyond the exploratory scope of this paper. We were able to confirm the capacity of HSI to reveal shifts of peat quality, connected to ecosystem-scale change.

As a crucial part of producer services, the logistics industry is highly dependent on the manufacturing industry. In general, the interactive development of the logistics and manufacturing industries is essential. Due to the existence of a certain degree of interdependence between any two factors, interaction between the two industries has produced a basis for measurement; identifying the key factors affecting the interaction between the manufacturing and logistics industries is a kind of decision problem in the field of multiple criteria decision making (MCDM). A hybrid MCDM method, DEMATEL-based ANP (DANP) is appropriate to solve this problem. However, DANP uses a direct influence matrix, which involves pairwise comparisons that may be more or less influenced by the respondents. Therefore, we propose a decision model, Grey DANP, which can automatically generate the direct influence matrix. Statistical data for the logistics and manufacturing industries in the China Statistical Yearbook (2006–2015) were used to identify the key factors for interaction between these two industries. The results showed that the key logistics criteria for interaction development are the total number of employees in the transport business, the volume of goods, and the total length of routes. The key manufacturing criteria for interaction development are the gross domestic product and the value added. Therefore, stakeholders should increase the number of employees in the transport industry and freight volumes. Also, the investment in infrastructure should be increased.

In order to further promote the research and application of MgO expansion agent in concrete field, this paper carried out the effect of different humidity and temperature conditions on the expansion properties of mortar and mortar specimens mixed with MgO expansion agent. In addition, the mechanism of the factors affecting the sensitivity of the MgO expansion agent is revealed by combining microscopic technology. The results show that the higher the curing temperature and the greater the curing humidity, the greater the expansion efficiency of the MgO expansion agent. The temperature of 20~40°C has no obvious effect on the efficiency of the MgO expansion agent, but the expansion value of the specimen doubles as the temperature rises to 40~80°C. Besides, the higher the curing humidity, the better the expansion efficiency of the MgO expansion agent, but the MgO expansion agent is more sensitive to the low humidity environment, and the specimen shrinks in the lower humidity environment (RH=60%).

The objective of this study is to identify the major factors that impact on the quality of financial reporting and to suggest model of the factors affecting on the quality of financial reporting for Vietnamese enterprises . There are two factors group affecting on the quality of financial reporting: internal factors and external factors, this study is limited to the scope of the external factors. By using case studies, analytical results indicate that Tax Pressure factor has the greatest impact on the quality of financial reporting, the remaning factors include: Listed Securities, Accounting Software and Independent Audit. Two factors, Politics and Regulatory Environment have limited impact on the quality financial reporting.

In this study, the alkali treatment of sawdust using different concentration of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is performed. The purpose of this treatment is to improve the filler-matrix compatibility, thus, enhance the properties of tested specimens under various strain rate condition. The outcome shows the alkali treated sawdust did improve its surface roughness through reduction of sawdust diameter. With this increasing of surface roughness, it will enhance the compatibility between sawdust filler and HDPE matrix. For comparison purpose, the treated and untreated sawdust filler were reinforce in High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) matrix and have been test under static and dynamic loading using Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) apparatus. The results indicate that the stiffness and compression strength properties were improved on treated sawdust composites for both static and dynamic loading compare to untreated sawdust composites.
