The present study investigated the effect of the casting conditions for the reduced pressure test (RPT) on the melt quality of Al-Si alloy. The casting conditions considered in RPT were the atmospheric exposure during melting, sampling method, and mold pre-heating temperature. Density Index (DI) was measured to quantify the melt quality of the Al-Si alloy casted with the different casting conditions for the RPT. The sample with blocking atmospheric exposure during melting was 5.6% lower in DI than the one without blocking. DI showed a 1.9% gap between scooping-out and pouring sampling methods. Increasing mold pre-heating temperature from 100 °C to 250 °C increased the DI of the alloy from 8.5% to 18.7%. On the other hand, when the mold pre-heating temperature was 350 °C, the DI of the alloy dropped sharply to 0.9%. The melt quality of the alloys was analyzed by measuring the pores and microstructure and simulating the solidification of the samples. It was presumed that the oxides and inclusions in the molten alloys caused the difference in DI according to the atmospheric exposure and the sampling method. The difference in DI according to the mold pre-heating temperature could be understood by calculating the solidification starting time and hydrogen diffusion coefficient during the solidification of the alloys in RPT.

In general, hydrogen permeabilityΦ of the alloy membrane is expressed as the product of the hydrogen diffusion coefficient D and the hydrogen solution coefficient K. Therefore, to improve the hydrogen permeability efficiently, the values of K and D should be separately considered. In the present study, hydrogen absorption and permeation behaviors of the Nb19Ti40Ni41 alloy consisting of the eutectic phase are investigated by measuring pressure-composition-isotherm (PCI) and by the hydrogen flow method and compared with those of palladium. The hydrogen absorption in the Nb19Ti40Ni41 alloy does not obey the Sieverts’ law in the pressure region of 0-1.0MPa at 523K, but it shows linear relationship between the difference in the square root of hydrogen pressure and hydrogen content between 0.1 and 0.4MPa. Although the value of D for the Nb19Ti40Ni41 alloy is considerably lower than that of palladium, its high K value enhances the hydrogen permeability Φ. It is suggested that the enhancement of D by microstructural control for Nb19Ti40Ni41 alloy is effective for improvement of Φ.

The intensity industrial competition required Tape Handayani 82 factory to develop its quality to compete in the market. The development of quality could be done by searching information about quality attribute of suwar suwir as costumer expectation. The purpose of this research was to identify quality attribute of suwar suwir and technical response requiring improvement, which could fulfill costumer expectation. Data was taken by distributing questionnaire to 65 respondents with non probability sampling method at 4 subdistrict in Bondowoso Regency, and interview to the producer of suwar suwir “Tape Handayani 82”. The research result showed that the quality attributs that needed to be improved were the fixed composition, the self life of the product, the fixed texture, the label of composition, the suitability of the product with the label, the taste variation and packaging form. The technical responses which improved in relation to quality improvement were the composition of the additional materials, the composition of the raw material, the maturity of the tape, the heating temperature, the heating time, the acidity level the tape, the stirring technique, the mixing time, the primary packaging type, smoothing technique, chilling time and fiber removal. The target value to the technical response of the Handayani 82 factory was less than the bencmark. This mean that suwar suwir of Tape Handayani 82 has not met the target in fulfilling the quality of suwar suwir as costumer expectation. Keywords: quality, suwar suwir, quality function deploment (QFD), customer

This work presents the results of hydrogen diffusion study in macro-and nanocrystalline titanium using the method of combining an electrolytic cell with vacuum chamber through the membrane. It has been stated that the formation of nanocrystalline structure, on the one hand, leads to the decrease in the effective hydrogen diffusion coefficient and, on the other hand, to the increase in the capability to accumulate hydrogen. This is observed due to more developed grain boundaries in nanocrystalline samples as compared with macrocrystalline.

Abstract A hundred translated article headlines appearing in the Greek press are contrasted to their originals in the English press. The cognitive, cultural and social constraints on headline formation observed relate to a higher degree of directness associated with the Greek version of the corpus, on the one hand, and differences with respect to 'thematic ' preferences, on the other. The quantity and quality of information to be included in the schematic category Headline, in Greek, differs: the quantity of information relates to the genre the article belongs to and the difference in quality is a result of a different 'macro-rule' application.

AbstractA356 is one of the widely used aluminium casting alloy that has been used in both sand and die casting processes. Large amounts of scrap metal can be generated from the runner systems and feeders. In addition, chips are generated in the machined parts. The surface area with regard to weight of chips is so high that it makes these scraps difficult to melt. Although there are several techniques evolved to remedy this problem, yet the problem lies in the quality of the recycled raw material. Since recycling of these scrap is quite important due to the advantages like energy saving and cost reduction in the final product, in this work, the recycling efficiency and casting quality were investigated. Three types of charges were prepared for casting: %100 primary ingot, %100 scrap aluminium and fifty-fifty scrap aluminium and primary ingot mixture were used. Melt quality was determined by calculating bifilm index by using reduced pressure test. Tensile test samples were produced by casting both from sand and die moulds. Relationship between bifilm index and tensile strength were determined as an indication of correlation of melt quality. It was found that untreated chips decrease the casting quality significantly. Therefore, prior to charging the chips into the furnace for melting, a series of cleaning processes has to be used in order to achieve good quality products.

If, on the one hand, the curriculum is instituted based on policies that respond to conservative and neoliberal demands, whose attempts to silence the difference and control lives; on the other hand, it is the proper place of difference with real possibilities of ruptures. To guide the debate, I use the following question: what affects the curricula thought under the aegis of neoliberal/conservative principles affect the circularity of the existence of difference in the school event? In this movement of analysis, I choose to work with the post-foundational and post-structural perspectives as a methodological instrument, especially with the epistemology of butlerian philosophical thought with the notion of frameworking. Despite attempting at control, curricula thought based on conservative and neoliberal voices are subject to escape. Thus, the desired quality of education, via monocultural knowledge, is hardly to materialize. What the curricula continue to do, therefore, is to try to control the uncontrollable, desire of the neoliberal imagination to ensure its own hegemony. Keywords: Curricular control. The daily requirements and needs imposed on the executors of logistics services imply the need for a higher level of quality. In this, the proper execution of all sustainability processes and activities plays an important role. In this paper, a new methodology for improving the measurement of the quality of the service consisting of three phases has been developed. The first phase is the application of the Delphi method to determine the quality dimension ranking. After that, in the second phase, using the FUCOM (full consistency method), we determined the weight coefficients of the quality dimensions. The third phase represents determining the level of quality using the SERVQUAL (service quality) model, or the difference between the established gaps. The new methodology considers the assessment of the quality dimensions of a large number of participants (customers), on the one hand, and experts’ assessments on the other hand. The methodology was verified through the research carried out in an express post company. After processing and analyzing the collected data, the Cronbach alpha coefficient for each dimension of the SERVQUAL model for determining the reliability of the response was calculated. To determine the validity of the results and the developed methodology, an extensive statistical analysis (ANOVA, Duncan, Signum, and chi square tests) was carried out. The integration of certain methods and models into the new methodology has demonstrated greater objectivity and more precise results in determining the level of quality of sustainability processes and activities.
