This paper analyses factors in open innovation activity in the Korean new information and communications technology (ICT) industry, with a focus on cooperation network strategy and intellectual property (IP) management capability, by applying multiple regression models with data collected from 300 companies within the industry. The results of this analysis suggested that the intensity and variation of a company’s technological cooperation with a new ICT company has a statistically meaningful impact on its innovation. In particular, the impact depended on the type of cooperation network. Though IP management capability was also shown to have an important influence on a new ICT company’s innovation, the impact of specific actions for IP management varied by the specific type of innovation results. This study suggests that new ICT companies need to construct technological innovation networks using multiple external sources and enhance their IP management capability in order to increase their technological innovation performance. The factors influencing technological innovation are elements of open innovation, indicating the open technological innovativeness of the new ICT Industry.

ICT (Information and Communication Technology) has now become one of the most important sources of innovation, and it contributes to share information on innovation within the firm as well as between firms. The former is referred to as ICT use inside the firm, while the latter as ICT use outside the firm. The objective of the chapter is to analyze how innovation is enhanced by two categories of ICT use based on a survey conducted with respect to 2,260 unlisted Japanese industrial companies in January 2010. This survey asked how ICT is used among respondents and the number of patent applications, which is used as a proxy of innovation. After defining the index of internal innovation capability, how ICT use promotes internal capability and innovation are analyzed using probit estimation. Moreover, the study focuses on open innovation, and these analyses are applied for firms practicing open innovation.

Against economic globalization backdrop, the government and scholars pay close attention to the e-commerce. Using the analysis tool--UCINET, the paper conducted an empirical analysis of E-commerce conference communication network based on social network theory. We have established an information database of Chinese E-commerce Conference, which reflects the relationships of conference communication network between them. Our findings are as follows: ①Some actors are in core position of the network, becoming the pioneers of leading the development of the retail industry network. But on the whole network, the network’s centralization doesn’t differ greatly. ②The communication network exerts a typical small world phenomenon. ③The conference communication network has no obvious phenomenon of "assigned" or "grade".

This article will complex network theory is introduced to the world's leading technology innovation cooperation network study, continue to deepen the theoretical study, by numerical simulation and empirical research on the method of combining technical innovation cooperation network to the evolution mechanism and its small world, scale-free characteristics were studied. First perfect the network modeling work decline period. Secondly, put forward the strategy of technology innovation diffusion, namely random selection, target selection and associated enterprises selection strategy, and compares the advantages and disadvantages of relationship between different strategies. Finally, combined the status quo of the cooperation technological innovation in our country, respectively from two levels to enterprises and government strengthen enterprise technical cooperation and improve enterprise technology innovation ability, and puts forward some Suggestions and countermeasures of technology innovation cooperation network further study is forecasted.
