In the process of global information construction, different fields have built their own discrete global grid systems (DGGS). With the development of big data technology, data exchange, integration, and update have gradually become a trend, as well as the associative integration of different DGGS. Due to the heterogeneity of DGGS and the different encoding rules, how to build the encoding conversion rules and data mapping relationship between the same object in various DGGS is an effective support and key technology to achieve the interoperability of DGGS. As a kind of multipurpose DGGS, the quaternary triangular mesh (QTM) has become an effective spatial framework for constructing the digital earth because of its simple structure. At present, there are many schemes for QTM encoding research, which plays a key role in the development of QTM, but at the same time, it also leads to difficulties in the communication and integration of QTM under different encoding. In order to solve this problem, we explore the characteristics of QTM encoding, and put forward three conversion algorithms: resampling conversion algorithm, hierarchical conversion algorithm, and row–column conversion algorithm.

Data exchange is one of the material bottlenecks in information construction. Many data exchange methods have been proposed to improve application interoperability. However, how to reliably provide numerous exchanges of data is a new challenge. In this paper, we design a new file format, aim to solve the above problem. The format ESFT not only guarantees the safety performance, but also dynamically generates ESFT label to record exchange historical information.

The robot industry of the 21st century is focused on humanoid robot. It has more intelligence and is able to move dexterously like a biological organ than existing sequence robot. The key technology of this robot is the design of the actuator. To realize the anthropomorphic motion, artificial muscles, such as shape memory alloy and electro active polymer are used. The SMA actuator has good power density and simple structure, but the control scheme of the actuator is difficult. The electro active polymer has good elasticity, but it is difficult to get the required power. In this paper, the performance according to the motion control of segmented SMA wire is evaluated. SMA wire is segmented by thermoelectric modules. The displacement of SMA wire according to load is measured and its hysteresis is surveyed.

Electronic packaging is extremely important, not least to protect the precious electronic devices inside. And these precious devices, in turn, are used to build important industrial products such as automobiles and smart grid systems, for example. It makes sense, then, that high-quality electronic packaging and the technologies used to produce it is paramount. In Japan, electronic packaging technology is known as 'Jisso' and can be defined as a key technology supporting the development of electronic devices. A team of Japanese researchers is investigating bonding methodologies, structures and materials for electronics packaging, as well as shedding light on the effect of microstructures on the mechanical properties and reliability of joints.

As some prevalent wired networks in industrial field are based on TCP, we proposed a novel integration infrastructure of token-based industrial WSN protocol and TCP, so as to make the application of wireless communication technologies more flexible. In the paper, a protocol conversion infrastructure is presented, which is based on data mapping mechanism. The protocol converter includes two modules: Wireless Industrial Control Network(WICN) master module and TCP host module. WICN master module owns an exclusive data buffer called WICN data buffer. TCP host module also has its own data buffer which is named TCP data buffer. A public data area is used for realizing the data mapping between WICN data buffer and TCP data buffer. By the data mapping mechanism, a station in wired network segment could get the data from WICN by accessing TCP data buffer, and WICN slave station could get the data from wired network via WICN data buffer. By the protocol conversion mechanism based on data mapping, flexible data exchange of heterogeneous networks could be realized.

The technology of color mapping could provide the visual representation of data mapping corresponding of the color range, in the three-dimensional visual scene. In order to analyze the characteristics of three-dimensional reservoir model more efficiently, this article researched the key technology of customized color mapping based on the Open Inventor. The MeshViz and DialogViz extended module of the Open Inventor were used to achieve the interactive legend, so the user could adjust the color mapping range dynamically, and change the data mapping mode by GUI interface. The different geological characteristics were displayed with the customized color, which would lead to a more intuitive understanding of the reservoir model.

Abstract Motivation The growing production of massive heterogeneous biological data offers opportunities for new discoveries. However, performing multi-omics data analysis is challenging, and researchers are forced to handle the ever-increasing complexity of both data management and evolution of our biological understanding. Substantial efforts have been made to unify biological datasets into integrated systems. Unfortunately, they are not easily scalable, deployable and searchable, locally or globally. Results This publication presents two tools with a simple structure that can help any data provider, organization or researcher, requiring a reliable data search and analysis base. The first tool is Kibio, a scalable and adaptable data storage based on Elasticsearch search engine. The second tool is KibioR, a R package to pull, push and search Kibio datasets or any accessible Elasticsearch-based databases. These tools apply a uniform data exchange model and minimize the burden of data management by organizing data into a decentralized, versatile, searchable and shareable structure. Several case studies are presented using multiple databases, from drug characterization to miRNAs and pathways identification, emphasizing the ease of use and versatility of the Kibio/KibioR framework. Availability Both KibioR and Elasticsearch are open source. KibioR package source is available at https://github.com/regisoc/kibior and the library on CRAN at https://cran.r-project.org/package=kibior. Supplementary information Supplementary data are available at Bioinformatics online.
