With the rapid development of the economy, people are paying more and more attention to the environmental problems. In this circumstance, the concept of a circular economy is proposed for making efficient use of resources and minimizing the production of waste and other emissions. Each year, the construction sector consumes a vast volume of resources and makes impacts on the environment. To align with the development of the circular economy, the concept of green building is proposed. In China, though the concept of green building has been promoted for decades, the development status is far from optimistic. Thus, this paper aims to investigate the barriers that hinder green building development (GBD) in China. Through a systematic review and semi-structured interviews with experienced industrial practitioners, 24 potential barriers of GBD in China were identified. A questionnaire survey was then conducted for data collection. After descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, a partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM) was established to investigate the impacts of different barriers on GBD. Results showed that the lack of policy and industry guidance, the immature market environment, and the lack of environmental awareness are the most important GBD barriers in China. This research can assist stakeholders in better understanding the status of GBD in China and enable decision-makers to formulate appropriate strategies to promote green building.

The rapid development of mobile digital libraries is an inevitable trend in online library services in recent years. The effect of the new digital service is closely related to the continuous improvements and innovation of online library, as well as users' experiences and acceptance behaviors. Based on the UTAUT model, we conducted a standardized questionnaire survey and collected a dataset with a sample of digital library users. Then, we use SPSS to analyze the dataset and demonstrate the reliability and validity of the sample. Besides, we also use AMOS to conduct structural equation model, examine the fitting degree, and provide theoretical contributions and practical implications for both academia and practice. The results show that the factors influencing a user's behavior include social influence, user innovation, payment value, performance expectancy, facilitating condition, and intention to use, which are all positive. However, effort expectancy and service mobility had no effect on reception behavior.

The purpose of this research was to examine the influence of attitude in accounting students to the intention to choose an accounting career. It was through the intention to increase current knowledge as an intervening variable. This research used a survey online method to test the research model, which was responded by a total of 503 accounting students across Java. Data analysis and hypothesis testing used partial least square as part of the structural equation model technique. According to their ages, the respondents were famous as the millennial generation in this era. The results of this research are in accordance with the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). It is proven that attitudes have a positive and significant influence on the intentions of accounting students in terms of increasing current knowledge and choosing accounting careers. This research also supports the Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT). There is evidence that educational background and learning experience can increase the intention of accounting students to pursue careers in accounting. The existence of different generations leads to different perceptions of students regarding accounting careers. Therefore, further research is needed to identify these differences. The results also suggest that accounting educators need to update their curriculum by adapting the current development and demands of graduates. Last, the rapid development of technology has had a significant influence on the accounting profession.

Green dwelling (GD) is a way to mitigate impacts of the building stock on environment and provide a better living condition for residences. However, the number of GDs is relatively small. Especially in China, GDs only account for less than 0.4% of the total buildings. It is directly due to the shortage of supply, which is influenced by the lack of willingness to develop. To stimulate the GD diffusion, the study applies structural equation model to analyse the factors in developers’ willingness to construct GDs, considering the inter-relationships and relative influences among factors. Further, it calculates the influence of each policy and policy subseries on developers’ willingness. It is showed that developers’ willingness is mostly influenced by their developing ability, followed by market development. Then comes government policy and corporate responsibility. In terms of stimulating policies on developers’ willingness, floor-to-area density award is of the biggest impact, followed by the green building requirement and interest rare. As to the policy subseries, mandatory requirements has larger effects on developers then voluntary incentives. Besides, in China, developers are more sensitive to financial incentives than non-financial ones. Accordingly, suggestions for policy making are proposed to stimulate developers to construct GDs.

Green building is deemed an effective means to realize the sustainable development of environment, economy and society in the construction industry. Green building technologies (GBTS) are important to realize green buildings. In order to make the application of GBTS be adopted and popularized effectively, it is especially important for us to gain thorough comprehension of the key problems that affect the adoption of GBTS. The target of this paper is to better understand the adoption of GBTS from the perspective of designers. This article utilizes a questionnaire to investigate Chinese architectural designers. Through establishing a structural equation model and an analysis of the survey data, the key factors influencing the adoption of GBTS by designers in the Design Company were found out. The results denote that the adoption motivation, the capability of GBTS, the knowledge structure and the defects of GBTS are the significant factors that affect designers’ adoption behaviors. However, the management support of GBTS has no significant effect on designers’ adoption behavior. The research results are helpful to improve adoption of GBTS in design units and accelerate the transformation of GBTS achievements. Additionally, they can promote the application of GBTS in the field of construction. Based on the quantitative theoretical model (the structural equation model), this paper finds out the key factors that affect the application of GBTS from the perspective of designers, enriching the theoretical methods of GBTS research and complementing the relevant literature of GBTS research. Future research will analyze the adoption behavior of GBTS from the point of other stakeholders and from the internal level of the design units.

AbstractThe response to pain is highly individual and can be influenced by complex emotional perception. This study aims to investigate the status of the pain-related emotional response, and the influence on headache characteristics and disability in migraine. We studied the pain-related emotional response in 145 consecutive migraine patients using the Pain Anxiety Symptoms Scale (PASS), the Pain Catastrophizing Scale (PCS), and the Pain Sensitivity Questionnaire (PSQ) and compared them with 106 healthy controls. We investigated the relationship between emotional factors and migraine characteristics. The effect of pain-related emotion on migraine-related disability assessed with the Headache Impact Test-6 (HIT-6) and the Migraine Disability Assessment (MIDAS). Migraine patients showed significantly higher scores on total PASS (p < 0.001), PCS (p < 0.001) and PSQ (p = 0.002) compared to the healthy controls. The HIT-6 was weakly correlated with PASS (r = 0.390, p < 0.001) and PCS (r = 0.354, p < 0.001). PASS-Total (p = 0.001), headache frequency (p = 0.003), and HADS-Anxiety (p = 0.028) were independent variables associated with HIT-6. Headache frequency (p < 0.001) was an independent variable associated with MIDAS. The structural equation model indicated that headache severity has direct loading on emotion and subsequently influenced migraine-related disability. Disability has a significant effect on the frequency of abortive medication use. Migraine patients have altered emotional responses to pain perception. Pain-related anxiety made an important contribution to headache-related disability. The present results suggest that the management of disability by considering various pain-related emotional factors may be necessary for the therapeutic aspects of migraine.

In a changing socio-economic and ecological context, the agri-food industry, where the use of natural resources is very important, must pay more and more attention to green and eco-innovation. Public decision-makers have started to implement measures to encourage the adoption of sustainable practices by companies, which are also pressured by supply and demand factors. This article aims to determine the factors that drive eco-innovation in the wine sector in Spain, a mature and traditional sector characterized by its high fragmentation. In particular, we sought to determine the role environmental regulations play in promoting eco-innovation in the sector. To this end, an empirical study was developed using a structural equation model established using a partial least squares technique for a sample of 251 wineries from all over the country. The study shows that the current regulatory framework inhibits eco-innovation in Spanish wineries, who are more encouraged by positioning and external motivation factors.
