This study explores an info-structural model of cognition for non-interacting agents affected by human sensation, perception, emotion, and affection. We do not analyze the neuroscientific or psychological debate concerning the human mind working, but we underline the importance of modeling the above cognitive levels when designing artificial intelligence agents. Our aim was to start a reflection on the computational reproduction of intelligence, providing a methodological approach through which the aforementioned human factors in autonomous systems are enhanced. The presented model must be intended as part of a larger one, which also includes concepts of attention, awareness, and consciousness. Experiments have been performed by providing visual stimuli to the proposed model, coupling the emotion cognitive level with a supervised learner to produce artificial emotional activity. For this purpose, performances with Random Forest and XGBoost have been compared and, with the latter algorithm, 85% accuracy and 92% coherency over predefined emotional episodes have been achieved. The model has also been tested on emotional episodes that are different from those related to the training phase, and a decrease in accuracy and coherency has been observed. Furthermore, by decreasing the weight related to the emotion cognitive instances, the model reaches the same performances recorded during the evaluation phase. In general, the framework achieves a first emotional generalization responsiveness of 94% and presents an approximately constant relative frequency related to the agent’s displayed emotions.

The purpose of this study is to identify the most relevant renewable energy technologies for buildings and to assess the effectiveness of their implementation in the long term for Kuwait. Methods of analogies and comparisons were used to determine the features of energy efficiency based on the technologies under study. The study proposes the methodological approach to assessing the effectiveness of the introduction of renewable energy technologies, determining the direction of increasing the energy efficiency of buildings and the investment efficiency of introducing these technologies. Renewable energy efficiency analysis for buildings in Kuwait confirms that solar energy systems have been the most widely available for widespread use of solar energy over the past three years. An increasing level of energy efficiency with a decrease in the notional cost of increasing energy savings is characteristic of solar collectors with booster reflectors. The proposed model for assessing the level of energy saving provides an opportunity for economic justification of introducing renewable energy technology in buildings.

The paper substantiates the theoretical foundations of the formation of agricultural territorial-industrial cluster associations, the mechanism of their effective functioning and ensuring the competitiveness of integrated business entities. The structural model of the regional association of agro-industrial clusters and cooperatives is justified. The proposed model of regional cluster integration includes industry-specific product clusters. It is proposed to create an agricultural service cooperative at the village level, and a multifunctional service cooperative at the district level.

This study proposed and tested a model of mathematics achievement and its relations to antecedent and subsequent factors using structural equations modeling. A sample of elementary school students in Al-Ain school district ( n = 394) completed an Arabic version of the Self-description Questionnaire as well as a questionnaire measuring their perception of the importance of mathematics, anxiety about it, and the amount of effort they exerted in studying. Mathematics grades were obtained from the official school records. Importance and effort were positively related to achievement which in turn had a positive path coefficient to self-concept and a negative path to anxiety. The hypothesized model explained 40%, 64%, and 73% of the variance in achievement, self-concept, and anxiety, respectively. The results can be interpreted as indicating that achievement is an important outcome and antecedent construct within the proposed model.

AbstractThis study focuses on the eastern flank of the Santa Rita syncline (Dorr 1969), with specific emphasis on the region known as Fábrica Nova. Important iron ore deposits are located on the flanks of this structure, such as Timbopeba, Alegria, São Luiz, Tamanduá, Almas and Fábrica Nova. The Santa Rita syncline is a fold with N-S axial direction and of subregional scale, with roots in the adjacent basement of the Santa Bárbara Complex and sectioned by the Água Quente thrust fault. The hypothesis of this study is that the structural framework of the region resulted from the superposition of at least three deformation phases on the Ouro Preto nappe. The Fábrica Nova mine, located in the central portion of the study area, is embedded in a synformal structure with a 100/20 trending axis named Fábrica Nova synform. The proposed model to explain the particular structural geometry of this region is based on the flanking folding mechanism (Passchier 2001). This mechanism may have been developed by E-W crustal shortening during the F4 tectonic deformation phase.

Kata-kata Kunci : Analisis, Taksonomi Bloom revisi, Dimensi Pengetahuan, Dimensi Proses Kognitif Abstract: Chemistry as a science that is based on research (inductive), which is supposed to be able to present a challenging problem and scattered in six cognitive levels, it's just that the actual conditions of chemical problems are still made traditionally with low cognitive level. Olympics as a matter of national competition top students in Indonesia is not yet known cognitive level contained therein. So the purpose of this study, describing the composition of matter of the spread of the revised Bloom's Taxonomy tables, describing the comparison about OSN and IChO (International Chemistry Olympiad) on the same material, and to map these problems to the standards of competence and basic competences SMA/MA. The analysis showed that in 2012 spread over-apply procedural and conceptual understanding. In 2013 spread to the dimension-apply procedural and factual-understand. Based on the content of the material in a matter of IChO requires students to be able to find a material relationship with the other materials in order to resolve these problems while OSN does not, but both have dimensions of knowledge and cognitive process dimensions are not too different from that in the scope of procedural-procedural-applying and analyzing. The results of the mapping of the SK-KD SMA / MA shows only half the number of ksesluruhan matter can be mapped. The existence of this analysis are expected to be the input for the teacher to provide reinforcement in learning chemistry concepts, so that students are able to do a variety of problems, one of which is a matter of OSN. This study was limited in 2012 and 2013, so that the analysis can be developed for other years. Key Words: Analysis, revised Bloom's Taxonomy, Knowledge Dimension, The Cognitive Process Dimension

With technology advanced and the flourishing of wired or wireless networks in our daily life, privacy and trustability of transaction media have become highly cherished value. Individuals often make choices in which they surrender a certain degree of privacy in exchange for outcomes or convenience that are perceived to be worthy of the risk of information disclosure. This research attempts to facilitate understandings of the utility of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) which is a strongly supported and well-established vehicle in information research and incorporates privacy, risk, and trust factor that are previously regarded as separate research areas from TAM. In addition, it also suggests individual dispositions as precursory factors and examines how they affect users’ risk and trust perception in using transactional e-government services. The proposed model was tested using data gathered from 309 respondents from an internet survey. Structural equation modeling (SEM) using Mplus was employed to validate measurement and structural model. Based on this outcome, the measurements were redefined as composite scores, and subsequent path analysis was conducted to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings provide the structural or causal model of the proposed model attainable, but it requires the development of reliable and valid measurement scales.

The transition of hotel organizations to a qualitatively new level of development can be ensured by the formation and use of a cost-effective innovation management mechanism. The article attempts to create a model of a cost-effective management mechanism that could take into account the multifaceted relationships of indicators and indicators of innovative activity. The operation of this mechanism implies the use of indicative control tools, as well as factor and scenario modeling. The author considers the mechanism from the perspective of implementing five interconnected blocks: subjects, goals and tasks, objects, processes and resulting effects. The content of the resulting effects of the implementation of innovative processes based on the calculation of integral indicators of innovative activity and its elements. Based on the proposed model of a cost-effective mechanism for managing the innovative activity of hotel organizations, an analysis of trends in the level of innovative activity was carried out at using the example of three hotel in Sochi, their graphical interpretation is presented. As part of the presented model, scenario modeling of innovative activity management was carried out as one of its tools, a graph of the ratio of indicators of innovative activity of hotel organizations in Sochi was built.

In this paper, we develop a new structural model that allows for a distinction between default and liquidation to be made. Default occurs when firm’s asset value process crosses a bankruptcy barrier. Here, we do not assume that default immediately triggers liquidation. Instead, the firm is allowed to continue operating even if it is in default. Liquidation is triggered as soon as the firm’s asset value has cumulatively spent a prespecified amount of time below the default barrier or has dropped below the liquidation barrier. The proposed model includes the Black–Cox model as a limiting case. A semi-analytical formula of the liquidation probability is derived for the case where firm’s asset value follows a geometric Brownian motion. Nonlinear volatility diffusion models are discussed as well.

Abstract This study is an attempt to address the issue of examining the relationship between burnout and personality among translation students. Recent trends in student/academic burnout have led to a proliferation of studies which have heightened the need for the exploration of this construct that is well-grounded in personality influences. Despite increasing concern over these two concepts, no report has been found so far surveying their association within the translation discipline. To this end, 73 Iranian translation students completed a 33-item student translator burnout scale and the 44-item Big Five Inventory of Personality. This was also accomplished by building a causal structural model through which the associations among these constructs were estimated. The results demonstrated that the proposed model has a good overall fit with the empirical data. Findings further provide evidence that there are significant correlations between agreeableness, neuroticism, and burnout.

Subjects of two cognitive levels (60 subjects at concrete operational and 60 at formal operational levels) were given Piaget's three-mountains task under three conditions. The first group was encouraged to use images, the second group spatial locations, the third was a control group. As hypothesized, spatial decentering is a task which can be solved by different cognitive strategies. The choice of a strategy depends upon the subject's cognitive level, e.g., use of image strategy increases performance of subjects at the concrete operational stage and decreases performance of subjects at the formal operational stage.
