This paper discusses an evaluation method of transmission properties of networks described with regular graphs (Reference Graphs) using unevenness coefficients. The first part of the paper offers generic information about describing network topology via graphs. The terms ‘chord graph’ and ‘Reference Graph’, which is a special form of a regular graph, are defined. The operating principle of a basic tool used for testing the network’s transmission properties is discussed. The next part consists of a description of the searching procedure of the shortest paths connecting any two nodes of a graph and the method determining the number of uses of individual graph edges. The analysis shows that using particular edges of a graph depends on two factors: their total number in minimum length paths and their total number in parallel paths connecting the graph nodes. The latter makes it possible to define an unevenness coefficient. The calculated values of the unevenness coefficients can be used to evaluate the transmission properties of networks and to control the distribution of transmission resources.

Abstract The aim of the paper is to draw attention to the possibility of improving the transmission properties of telecommunication networks by subordinating the capacity of individual links to the frequency of their occurrence in a set of minimum length paths. The defined unevenness coefficient was used to divide the global transmission resources of the network in order to make the traffic carried by this network as large as possible. The article presents the results of the simulation tests to which tree topology network was subjected.

The increasing digitalization also affects universities. Therefore, electronic teaching is experiencing an upwind. Flipped Classroom is a special form of digital teaching is. Here, the basics are taught via online content and are interactively deepened in presence phases in class. For this quite modern variant of blended learning, there are numerous case descriptions in research with different evaluations available. However, a systematic examination of the evaluation of this form of teaching has not yet been carried out. The aim of this paper is, therefore, to diminish this research gap and to present the model of the Teaching Analysis Poll (TAP) as a systematic and easy to handle evaluation method in the Flipped Classroom. After a short review of recent research in the corresponding areas, we give a systematic overview of evaluations of Flipped Classroom. We introduce from the example of a Flipped Classroom Course the application of TAP as an adequate evaluation format.

In this paper, we consider IP fast recovery from single-link failures in a given network topology. The basic idea is to replace some existing routers with a designated switch. When a link fails, the affected router will send all the affected traffic to the designated switch (through pre-configured IP tunnels), which will deliver the affected traffic to its destination without using the failed link. The goal of the approach is to achieve faster failure recovery than traditional routing protocols that employ reactive computing upon link failures. Software-Defined Networking (SDN) switches can serve as the designated switches because they can flexibly redirect affected traffic to other routes, instead of only to the shortest paths in the network. However, SDN switches are very expensive. Our objective is to minimize the number of SDN switches needed and to guarantee that the network can still recover from any single-link failure. For networks with uniform link costs, we show that using normal non-SDN switches with IP tunneling capability as designated switches can guarantee recovery from any single-link failure. For networks with general link costs, we find that not all single-link failures can be recovered by using non-SDN switches as designated switches; by using SDN switches only when necessary, we can reduce the total number of SDN switches needed compared to an existing work. We conduct extensive simulations to verify our proposed approaches.

In order to avoid the cascading tripping caused by power flow transferring, a fast identification method of two branches simultaneous removal under multiple voltage levels was proposed. Calculate the per-unit value of element parameters under different voltage levels. Search the K shortest paths between the two nodes of broken line with the network topology considering the two branches removal and the value of K was optimized. Use the power flow transfer factor to estimate the power flow increment of lines on the path and the key lines in power flow transferring were obtained. The method is accurate and it is verified in the IEEE39 node system.

This is a research report on a survey of missionary retirement programs of evangelical missions. The basic tool used was a questionnaire covering mission board information (vital statistics), general retirement information and calculation of mission pension. The questionnaire was sent to 105 mission boards with 61 returns (58%). Of these missions, 44 have a retirement benefits program. Supporting research has found that two factors which contribute most to satisfaction and morale in retirement are good health and financial independence. Of the missions responding, 71% find missionaries are concerned about financial security in retirement. Efforts to expand and improve retirement programs especially with respect to pension benefits appear appropriate.

The wireless networks are made up of numerous numbers of wireless stations. The communication between these wireless stations requires traveling multiple hops to exchange information. The Wireless mobile network plays important roles in various sensing applications. This research paper planned to develop real time, trivial clarification method for transmitting in a wireless mobile sensor network. The proposed method works grounded on the routers positions and destination address of the packets to transfer packets, whereas the existing greedy forwarding decisions methods use information about the neighbor routers in the network topology. If a particular packet or an information reaches a destination region, the greedy forwarding is not worth to recover packets, since it search the packets the small perimeter of the region. When the number of destination node increases the proposed methods works better to scales router state when compared to existing shortest-path and ad-hoc routing protocols. In real time there will be frequent changes in network topology the proposed method will use local topology information to discover the shortest paths quickly. The experimental results shows that the proposed greedy perimeter stateless routing scales method provide high reliability and scalability than other methods in the large scale networks

In this study, we carried out subjective evaluation tests employing 19 refrigerator door closing sounds to quantify the luxury feeling. By applying factor analysis to the subjective evaluation results, the sound quality of the refrigerator door closing sound was found to be expressed by the following two factors: overall loudness and the pitch of the sound. Subsequently, luxury feeling evaluation model was obtained through multiple regression analysis. As the result, the luxury feeling of the door closing sound was evaluated to be high when the sound was softer and had lower pitch. Then, we prepared several luxury door closing sounds according to the obtained evaluation model through a filter processing and conducted subjective evaluation tests again to verify the evaluation model. The result shows that the amplitude increased sound at low frequency band under 100 Hz, which was calculated to be high luxury by the evaluation model, was actually evaluated as the best among the presented sounds through the subjective test. And the luxury sound quality evaluation method was confirmed to be useful to quantify and estimate the sound quality of the refrigerator door closing sound.
