Pain is one of the most common complaints among patients infected by SARS-CoV-2. While headache and chest pain are reported widely among COVID-19 presentations, there are only scarce reports about vertebral pain. This study aims to describe cases of four healthy and physically active adults, in whom the new onset of back pain was the early or only sign of COVID-19 and the reason for seeking medical outpatient care. The vertebral pain showed great variability and changed dramatically during the course of disease. Pseudoradicular symptoms were present inconstantly and variably; in some patients they varied through the day from left to right side and irradiated from various sensory root segments. Clinical symptoms did not correspond with minor morphological changes presented on MRI scans. Our experience indicates that new onset of vertebral algic syndrome should be considered as an initial indicator of novel coronavirus infection in healthy and physically active adults. There is a pressing need for attention to be paid in the examination of patients with new vertebral pain onset in the coronavirus pandemic.

Abstract Objective: to analyze the early transmission dynamics, the government measures, and current situation of diagnosis and treatment for novel coronavirus infection pneumonia in Zhejiang province, china.Methods: We collected the daily number of newly confirmed novel coronavirus infection pneumonia (NCP) patients and the number of discharge patients by February 8 in Zhejiang province. We analyzed the characteristics, exposure history, and the clinical symptoms of NCP patients.Results: there were 1075 confirmed NCP patients and 173 discharge patients in Zhejiang province by February 8. The daily number of newly confirmed NCP patients got decreased since January 29 (27 patients on February 8), while the daily number of newly discharge NCP patients was increasing (46 patients on February 8). Before February 1, the imported NCP patients contained the most significant part of total NCP patients. And the local infection of NCP patients occupied the main reason. 77 patients needed to stay in ICU. 26 of 77 patients had greater life danger. Fortunately, no patient was dead, and no health care worker got the infection. At the same time, the government of Zhejiang province strictly restricted the movement of people to prevent the NCP from further spread.Conclusion: The early spread of NCP in Zhejiang province was speedy. After the government of Zhejiang province took strict measures to restrict the movement of people, the difficult situation of NCP got noticeable relief in Zhejiang province since February 1.

Objective: The prognosis of mild and severe patients has prominent differences during the prevalence of COVID-19, and it will be significant to identify patients' potential risk of progressing to severe cases according to their first clinical presentations. Therefore, we aim to review the clinical symptoms of the COVID-19 epidemic systematically.Methods:We searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and CNKI (Chinese Database) for studies about the clinical features of COVID-19 in China from March 18 to April 18. Then we used REVMAN to conduct a meta-analysis.Results: After screening, 20 articles including 3,326 COVID-19 confirmed cases were selected from 142 articles we retrieved at the beginning of our research. We divided all the cases into a severe group (including severe and critically severe patients) and a mild group according to the “Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Infection-Induced Pneumonia” version 4 (trial). Of all the initial symptoms (including fever, cough, abdominal pain, anorexia, chest tightness, diarrhea, dyspnea, expectoration, fatigue, headache, hemoptysis, myalgia, nausea or vomiting, and pharyngalgia) we studied, we found that cough (odds ratio [OR] = 1.4, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.2–1.7; p < 0.001), fever (OR = 1.5, 95% CI: 1.2–1.9; p < 0.001), dyspnea (OR = 6.2, 95% CI: 3.6–10.6; p < 0.001), diarrhea (OR = 2.6, 95% CI: 1.3–4.9; p < 0.001), fatigue (OR = 2.1, 95% CI: 1.3–3.3; p < 0.01), expectoration (OR = 1.7, 95% CI: 1.2–2.6; p < 0.01), myalgia (OR = 1.6, 95% CI: 0.8–3.1; p < 0.001), hemoptysis (OR = 4.0, 95% CI: 1.5–11.3; p < 0.001), abdominal pain (OR = 7.5, 95% CI: 2.4–23.4; p < 0.001), and anorexia (OR = 2.8, 95% CI: 1.5–5.1; p < 0.001) had a different distribution in two groups and were statistically significant (p < 0.05).Conclusion:COVID-19 patients whose initial manifestation is dyspnea, hemoptysis, anorexia, diarrhea, or fatigue, especially abdominal pain should be closely monitored to prevent disease deterioration.

Novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) out-broke in the city of Wuhan in China and widely spread across the globe in a pandemic manner, causing societal and economic disruptions. Though the origin of the novel virus is still a debating topic, it is certain that SARS-CoV-2 acquired human to human transmission capacity. Regardless of aggressive containment and quarantine approaches, the number of confirmed cases continues to rise and being reported due to its highly infectious nature. As of the time, there is a little scope for the antiviral drugs or vaccines for the treatment of coronavirus infection; due to the vigorous mutation rate in the viral genome. However, existing anti-parasite drugs like ivermectin and chloroquine could effectively inhibit the virus has been reported. Few of the vaccines have come up with certain degree of efficacy and many are under the clinical trial phase. The research on novel coronavirus is still in the preliminary stage. In this chapter, we systematically summarize the origin, transmission route, molecular characterization, pathogenic mechanism, contagious nature, clinical symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, mutation and infection as well as prevention strategy of coronavirus disease based on the recently available literature. In addition to this, this chapter presents updated insights of the current state of knowledge pertaining to novel coronavirus and can be referred for potential future studies.

Background. Currently, the patho- and morphogenesis of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is being studied in depth. Conducting a comparative analysis of the morphological changes in the lungs of deceased patients at various time periods after the onset of the first clinical symptoms. Clinical and morphological comparisons should help to increase qualified medical care for patients in the resuscitation profile and reduce hospital mortality. The aim of the study was to formulate a working hypothesis of a conceptual scheme of clinical and morphological forms of development of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Methods. An analysis of 80 fatal cases was carried out in the COVID-center of the Federal Research Clinical Center of FMBA of Russia. Along with the assessment of macro- and microscopic changes in the respiratory tract, an additional histochemical staining according to van Gieson was applied and immunohistochemical studies were performed to assess the condition of the lungs with COVID-19. Results. The revealed features of diffuse alveolar damage in case of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) made it possible to present a working hypothesis of the pathomorphogenesis of specific acute coronavirus (COVID-19) alveolitis (pneumonitis). It goes through 3 stages-forms: fulminant, persistent and fibrotic. Each stage is conditionally limited by certain time parameters and is characterized by certain morphological characters. Dysregulatory activation of monocytic phagocytes, development of generalized microthrombosis, persistent signs of the exudative phase, pathological repair, progressive intraalveolar and interstitial fibrosis are the main links in the pathomorphogenesis of specific acute coronavirus (COVID-19) alveolitis (pneumonitis).

This communication presents the experience of using mobile pressure chambers in patients with the confi rmed novel coronavirus infection in hospital settings. The obtained preliminary results indicate positive antihypoxic effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) applied in the form of increased saturation. After a session of HBO, patients demonstrated an increase in the oxygen saturation of capillary blood hemoglobin at the average level of 3.71 points. Differences between SatO2 levels prior to and following HBO treatment were signifi cant in the CT2, CT3 and CT4 groups (p0.05). As expected, the effi cacy of HBO in terms of the oxygen saturation of capillary blood hemoglobin was the greatest in the patient groups showing pronounced clinical and radiological changes in the lungs.

Coronavirus disease (CoViD-19) is an infection of the respiratory system caused due to various viruses affects the respiratory pathway, and it can spread from one person to another by coughing, sneezing or physical contact. Commonly include cough, cold, fever are the symptoms. Viral diseases increase worldwide concern, including emerging and chronic viruses. The invention of new anti-viral drugs from plants has implicit in the past. The Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) caused due to severe acute respiratory syndrome, which is a transmittable and pathogenic viral infection. Several traditional medicines of plant origin having antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties some have been studied for their anti-viral properties and immune-modulating effects. Herbal drugs are now in massive requirement in the developing countries for primary health care not because of their economical but also for better civilising adequacy, improved compatibility with the human body and significantly fewer side effects. This review gives an overview of some critical traditionally used medicinal herbs with anti-viral properties—the literature regarding the drugs of this group, collected from Ayurveda classics. Research articles are collected from published material and discussed per therapeutic actions. Most of the Herbs are with Katu Rasa (pungent) and Ushna Virya (hot potency). They are indicated in diseases, viz. Kasa (cough), Shwas (asthma), Krumi (worm/ infection). Krumihara property drugs which are correlated with anti-viral action helps to prevent against Novel coronavirus infection.

In December 2019, a unique coronavirus infection, SARS-CoV-2, was first identified in the province of Wuhan in China. Since then, it spread rapidly all over the world and has been responsible for a large number of morbidity and mortality among humans. According to a latest study, Diabetes mellitus, heart diseases, Hypertension etc. are being considered important risk factors for the development of this infection and is also associated with unfavorable outcomes in these patients. There is little evidence concerning the trail back of these patients possibly because of a small number of participants and people who experienced primary composite outcomes (such as admission in the ICU, usage of machine-driven ventilation or even fatality of these patients). Until now, there are no academic findings that have proven independent prognostic value of diabetes on death in the novel Coronavirus patients. However, there are several conjectures linking Diabetes with the impact as well as progression of COVID-19 in these patients. The aim of this review is to acknowledge about the association amongst Diabetes and the novel Coronavirus and the result of the infection in such patients.

Abstract:: A novel virus, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), appeared and expanded globally by the end of year in 2019 from Wuhan, China, causing severe acute respiratory syndrome. During its initial stage, the disease was called the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). It was named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 11 February 2020. The WHO declared worldwide the SARS-CoV-2 virus a pandemic on March 2020. On 30 January 2020 the first case of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) was reported in India. Now in current situation the virus is floating in almost every part of the province and rest of the globe. -: On the basis of novel published evidences, we efficiently summarized the reported work with reference to COVID-19 epidemiology, pathogen, clinical symptoms, treatment and prevention. Using several worldwide electronic scientific databases such as Pubmed, Medline, Embase, Science direct, Scopus, etc were utilized for extensive investigation of relevant literature. -: This review is written in the hope of encouraging the people successfully with the key learning points from the underway efforts to perceive and manage SARS-CoV-2, suggesting sailent points for expanding future research.
