Chirp transform spectrometer (CTS) has become a powerful tool widely used in spectral analysis nowadays. In this paper, a novel single-channel structure of Chirp transform spectrometer for high-resolution spectrum detection is developed. By adding an additional signal source, a mixer, a power divider, and a combiner, one channel of the classical CTS is replaced and the matching problem between the two channels is avoided. The circuit principle and characteristics of the novel single-channel structure are presented. Two simulation models with ideal devices and nonideal devices for the classical two-channel CTS structure and the improved single-channel structure are built to verify the effectiveness of the novel structure. Simulation results show that the time distributions of the obtained compression pulses resulting from the improved structure are the same as that from the classical two-channel CTS. The obtained amplitudes and spectral resolution are almost the same in both structures with ideal devices. The introduced nonideal devices mainly influence the amplitudes of the output pulses. In addition, an experiment with hardware implementation is verified on real chains. The influence of nonideal devices is measured and analyzed. Compared to the classical two-channel structure of CTS, the modified one-channel arrangement avoids the matching problem between different channels and saves devices.

Abstract Dopant profile inspection is one of the focused ion beam (FIB) physical analysis applications. This paper presents a technique for characterizing P-V dopant regions in silicon by using a FIB methodology. This technique builds on published work for backside FIB navigation, in which n-well contrast is observed. The paper demonstrates that the technique can distinguish both n- and p-type dopant regions. The capability for imaging real sample dopant regions on current fabricated devices is also demonstrated. SEM DC and FIB DC are complementary methodologies for the inspection of dopants. The advantage of the SEM DC method is high resolution and the advantage of FIB DC methodology is high contrast, especially evident in a deep N-well region.

In order to search after a new way of the propulsion system of tracked vehicle, a novel structure form of electro-mechanical transmission was developed in this paper, through analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of existing projects of electric drive system for tracked vehicle. It could increase the rate of power exertion obviously and synthesize the mechanical and electrical strongpoint. And based on the structure form, an electro-mechanical transmission was designed with double electromotor added planetary mechanism of steering power coupling and gearshift, considering engineering realization. And then straight-line driving and steering performances of the transmission were calculated which proved that the novel electro-mechanical transmission could meet the requirement of tracked vehicle propulsion well.

A novel 4H-SiC MESFET was presented, and its direct current (DC), alternating current (AC) characteristics and power added efficiency (PAE) were studied. The novel structure improves the saturation current (Idsat) and transconductance (gm) by adding a heavily doped region, reduces the gate-source capacitance (Cgs) by adding a lightly doped region and improves the breakdown voltage (Vb) by embedding an insulated region (Si3N4). Compared to the double-recessed (DR) structure, the saturation current, the transconductance, the breakdown voltage, the maximum oscillation frequency (fmax), the maximum power added efficiency and the maximum theoretical output power density (Pmax) of the novel structure is increased by 24%, 21%, 9%, 11%, 14% and 34%, respectively. Therefore, the novel structure has excellent performance and has a broader application prospect than the double recessed structure.

The visible emission spectrum of the GdO molecule has been produced in a DC arc source and has been photographed in the first order of a 10.6 m grating spectrograph. Bands are shown to have a six-headed structure and improved vibrational constants have been obtained in this study. Isotopic shifts have been calculated for the various isotopic molecules. Tentative suggestions regarding the nature of the transition have been made.
