El cultivo de chile (Capsicum annuum L.) destaca por el valor agro-alimenticio alto del producto, aunado a su valor comercial. Los nematodos Meloidogyne incognita y M. enterolobii (Me) afectan al cultivo; M. enterolobii (Me) es el más relevante por su agresividad notable. El estudio de alternativas ecológicas es de interés para control estos fitoparásitos. Los objetivos de esta investigación fueron conocer el efecto de Bacillus subtilis (Bs) (CH90) sobre la expresión de los genes PR-1, PR-5, y PR-12 que codifican proteínas relacionadas con patogénesis en chile cv. California Wonder (Cw) infectado con Me; y evaluar el efecto de Bs sobre agallamiento (A) y producción de huevos (H) del nematodo en raíces de Cw. Dos experimentos independientes (E1 y E2) se establecieron con diseño completamente al azar. En E1 y E2 los tratamientos fueron: Cw inoculado solo con Me (CwMe), Cw con Bs y Me (CwBsMe), Cw solo con Bs (CwBs), y Cw sin inoculación (Cw). En ambos experimentos, el nivel de inóculo de Bs fue 108 UFC mL-1, y para Me fue 500 J2 por planta. En E1 la expresión génica se determinó a 3, 7, y 14 d después de inoculación (DPI) con Me. En E2 las variables A y H se evaluaron 45 DPI con Me. PR-1 y PR-5 se sobre expresaron 3 y 7 DPI en los tratamientos CwBsMe y CwBs, en contraste con CwMe (p≤0.05). A los 14 DPI, los genes en todos los tratamientos tuvieron una expresión menor (p≤0.05). La sobre expresión máxima de PR-12 se registró a 14 DPI en los tratamientos CwBsMe y CwBs (p≤0.05). Las plantas de cv. C. Wonder tratadas con B. subtilis CH90 solo o en combinación con M. enterolobii activaron las rutas de defensa dependientes del ácido salicílico (AS) y jasmónico (AJ) pero dicha activación no afectó la reproducción del nematodo en raíces de chile.

<em>Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan pelapisan benih menggunakan bakteri Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas keompok. fluorescens dan Serratia marcescens terhadap viabilitas benih cabai (Capsicum annuum L.) selama di penyimpanan. Penelitian ini mengunakan rancangan petak tersarang dengan tiga ulangan. Petak utama adalah periode simpan (0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 dan 24 minggu) dan anak petak adalah perlakuan coating dengan bakteri tertentu (Bacillus subtilis, Pseduomonas kelompok fluorescens, Serratia marcescen dan kontrol). Benih cabai IPB C5 masih memiliki viabilitas yang cukup baik  hingga akhir penyimpanan, ditunjukkan dengan nilai daya berkecambah sebesar 77.33%. Perlakuan kontrol dan coating menggunakan bakteri menunjukkan nilai daya berkecambah, indeks vigor, kecepatan tumbuh dan bobot kering kecambah normal yang tidak berbeda nyata.</em> <em>Ketiga bakteri yang digunakan sebagai pelapis masih dapat hidup sampai periode simpan 24 minggu dengan populasi </em><em>5.89 x 10<sup>4</sup> cfu g<sup>-1</sup> untuk Pseudomonas kelompok fluorescens, 4.79 x 10<sup>4</sup> cfu g<sup>-1</sup> untuk Bacillus subtilis dan 1.70 x 10<sup>4</sup> cfu g<sup>-1</sup> untuk Serratia marcescens.</em>

El uso de agroquímicos en el cultivo de chile dulce ha originado la búsqueda de alternativas de fertilización como Bacillus subtilis y lombricomposta, los cuales, son una opción para producir alimentos sin afectar al ambiente, salud humana y animal. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar el efecto de la incorporación individual y en conjunto de B. subtilis y lombricomposta sobre la respuesta agronómica de chile dulce bajo invernadero. Se utilizó un diseño completamente al azar con 15 repeticiones por cada tratamiento donde; T1 = plantas con fertilizante químico; T2 = B. subtilis; T3 = B. subtilis + fertilizante químico; T4, T5 y T6 = 280, 380 y 570 g de lombricomposta, respectivamente; T7, T8 y T9 = B. subtilis + 280, 380 y 570 g de lombricomposta, respectivamente. A los 90 días después de la siembra se evaluó: altura, diámetro del tallo, número de hojas, número de botones, número de flores, área foliar, producción de fruto y población bacteriana (UFC). Las plantas de chile dulce con la dosis más alta de lombricomposta (570 g) más B. subtilis presentaron los mayores incrementos en todas las variables evaluadas superando signif icativamente a las plantas con fertilizante químico. La aplicación en conjunto de lombricomposta y B. subtilis puede ser una alternativa para la producción de chile dulce sin tener que emplear fertilizantes químicos.

This study aimed at evaluating the ability of SL-44 to controlRhizoctonia solaniand promote pepper(Capsicum annuum)growth. Strain SL-44 was isolated from plant rhizosphere and the pot experiment results indicated that the dry and fresh weights of pepper in SL-44 andRhizoctonia solani(S-R) treatment were 45.5% and 54.2% higher than those inRhizoctonia solani(R) treatment and 18.2% and 31.8% higher than those in CK (control, noninoculation) treatment. The plant height in S-R treatment increased by 14.2% and 9.0% compared with those in the R and CK treatments, respectively. In vitro antagonism assay showed that SL-44 exhibited strong antifungal activity against the mycelial growth ofRhizoctonia solani, with an inhibition rate of 42.3%. The amount of phosphorus dissolved by SL-44 reached 60.58 mg·L−1in broth and 7.5 μg·mL−1IAA were secreted by SL-44. Strain SL-44 inhibited the growth ofR. solaniand improved biomass of pepper plants. Mass exchange and information transmission between the pepper plants and SL-44 mutually promoted their development.Bacillus subtilisSL-44 has a great potential as biocontrol agent againstRhizoctonia solanion pepper plants.

Перец овощной (Capsicum annuum L.) является одной из основных возделываемых культур Вьетнама в связи с широким его использованием в пищевой промышленности в качестве приправы. Это делает данное растение важной сельскохозяйственной культурой, которая приносит значительный доход вьетнамским фермерам. Однако на плантациях перца часто наблюдается появление и развитие болезни ризоктониоз, которую вызывает патогенный гриб Rhizoctonia solani, а также наблюдается бактериальное увядание, вызываемое бактерией Ralstonia solanacearum. Поражение ризоктониозом, одной из самых вредных болезней перца, может наблюдаться в любой фазе развития растений. Известно, что ризобактерии способны не только стимулировать рост растений, но и подавлять развитие болезней. Цель данной работы выделение из ризосферы растений перцев бактерий, ингибирующих развитие Rhizoctonia solani и оценка in vitro их фосфатрастворяющей активности и секреции сидерофора. Из различных почвенных образцов, отобранных с полей коммун Ан Хань, Ан Нинь, Кунь Ми, района Кунь Фу, провинции Тхай Бинь, выделено 48 штаммов бактерий, из которых были отобраны 5 штаммов (АТ 16 VK 4.7 VK 4.8 VK 4.12 VK 4.13), обладающих высокой ингибирующей активностью по отношению к Rhizoctonia solani, которая составила 11,11 62,22. Показано, что эти штаммы обладают способностью синтезировать такой фитогормон, как индолилуксусную кислоту (ИУК) (с 9,54 мг/мл до 31,06 мг/мл), растворять труднорастворимые фосфатные соединения и секрецировать сидерофор. Из 5 выделенных штаммов только у штамма АТ 16 данные способности выражены более сильно. Полученные результаты свидетельствуют о том, что изученные штаммы обладают хорошим потенциалом для использования их в качестве биологических агентов, контролирующих развитие R. solani на растениях перца.Peppers or chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) is widely grown in Vietnam because they bring considerable income to farmers. On pepper fields, diseases such as rhizoctonia, Rhizoctoniasolani caused by fungus, bacterial wilt by Ralstoniasolanacearum are often observed. Rhizoctoniasolani causes a wide range of significant diseases such as collar rot, root rot, damping offin horticultural and field crops.The diseases caused by rhizoctonia are one of the most harmful diseases on peppers, can be observed in any phase of plant development. Rhizobacteria that stimulate plant growth can be used to improve plant growth and suppress plant diseases. The purpose of this work is to isolate bacteria from the pepper rhizosphere that inhibit Rhizoctoniasolani and evaluate in vitro their phosphate solubilizing activity and production of siderophore. Of the different soil samples taken from the pepper fields of An Thanh, An Ninh, Quynh My, QuynhPhudistrict, ThaiBinh province, 48 bacterial strains were isolated. Of these, 5 strains (AT16, VK 4.7, VK 4.8, VK 4.12, VK 4.13) expressed as higher inhibitory Rhizoctoniasolani activity were selected. Their inhibitory activity is from 11.11 to 62.22. These strains have the ability to synthesize phytohormone IAA (from 9.54 g / ml to 31.06g / ml), solubilize the phosphate compounds and productsiderophore. Strain AT16 more effective expresses these abilities in comparison with 4 other strains. These results suggest that the selected strains have excellent potential for use as biologically controlled agents of R. solani on pepper plants (Capsicum annuum L.).

Pertencente à família Verbenaceae, Lippia alba (Mill) N. E. Brown é amplamente utilizada na medicina popular devido suas propriedades analgésicas, calmantes e espasmolíticas. Neste trabalho, buscou-se avaliar o efeito do óleo essencial dessa espécie sobre o crescimento micelial de isolados de Fusarium spp. obtidos de Anacardium occidentale L. (caju); Zea mays L. (milho); Capsicum annuum L. (pimentão); Couratari oblongifolia Ducke & R. Knuth (tauari) e Rhizoctonia solani obtido da espécie Glycine max L. (soja). No bioensaio, o óleo previamente filtrado foi adicionado em meio BDA (Batata-Dextrose-Ágar), homogeneizado e vertido em placas de Petri. Em seguida, discos contendo estruturas fúngicas foram depositados, centralmente, nas placas com BDA e o óleo em suas respectivas concentrações. O tratamento controle consistiu em placas com meio de cultura sem a presença do óleo. Os dados foram obtidos medindo o diâmetro das colônias fúngicas, durante cinco dias. Todas as concentrações reduziram o crescimento micelial dos fitopatógenos em relação à testemunha, apresentando um percentual de inibição médio de 88,5%. Para os isolados de Fusarium spp. do caju e do pimentão, bem como Rhizoctonia solani isolado da soja, o óleo apresentou efeito fungicida; sugerindo estudos, in vivo, para constatação de seu efeito fungitóxico, e análises químicas para investigação e isolamento dos compostos ativos da espécie.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Controle alternativo, Efeito fungicida, Redução do crescimento.

Ninety eight isolates of Rhizoctonia spp. were obtained from roots of pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) grown in Erzincan, Turkey during the period 2007&ndash;2008. The most prevalent multinucleate anastomosis groups (AG) were AG-4 (85.2%), followed by AG-2 type 1 (7.4%), AG-6 (5.0%), and AG-3 (2.5%). The population of binucleate Rhizoctonia spp. comprised AG-A (82.4%), AG-K (11.8%), and AG-G (5.9%). Rhizoctonia solani AG-3 and AG-6, as well as binucleate Rhizoctonia spp. AG-G and AG-K on pepper (C. annuum) were firstly determined in this study. During both in vitro and in vivo pathogenicity experiments differences in virulence level between R. solani and binucleate Rhizoctonia spp. isolates were observed. Isolates of R. solani AG-2 type 1 and AG-4 were the most virulent, binucleate Rhizoctonia spp. isolates of AG-A were less virulent, whereas binucleate Rhizoctonia spp. isolates of AG-G and AG-K were non-pathogenic. &nbsp;
