Rapid population growth in Indonesia has prompted the government to launch the Family Planning program in order to reduce the birth rate. This research was conducted to find out what factors influenced the incidence of drop out of 3 monthly injection contraception in Pamekasan and analyzed the most dominant factor on the incidence of drop out of 3 monthly injection contraception at Proppo Health Center, Pamekasan. The research design in this research was analytical survey with cross sectional approach. Population in this research was all acceptor drop out of 3 monthly injection 3 month contraception in Pamekasan. The sample size was 149 people, selected by cluster sampling. The analysis technique used was ordinal regression analysis using SPSS v.23 for Windows. The dominant factor on the incidence of drop out of 3 monthly injection contraception in Pamekasan was husband support. Background: Tobacco use is so addictive among youth and is one of the global epidemics which require constant monitoring and timely appropriate action to prevent usage. School personnel play one of the main roles in taking appropriate action. Aim: To assess knowledge and attitude of tobacco use pattern among school personnel in Bangalore city. Material and Methods: A cross sectional study was carried out for a period of six months from May to October 2017. Stratified cluster sampling was done to include the government and English medium schools in Bangalore south. All the school personnel in the selected schools were eligible to participate. The data collection tool was GSPS questionnaire (WHO FCTC Tobacco Control). Chi-square test and Fisher’s Exact Test was used to demonstrate cross tabulation with confidence intervals. Significance level of 0.05 was considered for statistical analyses Results : Majority of both Kannada and English medium school personnel did not use any forms of tobacco. Both the English and Kannada medium school personnel were aware of the addictive effect of tobacco, but majority of the Kannada medium personnel said second hand smoke is not harmful as compared to their counterparts. Conclusion: Tobacco use among school personnel was low. Most of the school personnel were informed about the addictive nature of tobacco.

Objective: The purpose of present study is to investigate the differentials and determinants of duration breastfeeding (BF) according to various socio-economic and demographic factors. Methods: A cross sectional study of 1225 ever-married women of reproductive age with at least one live birth was conducted in four valley districts of Manipur under cluster sampling scheme. Survival analysis technique has been adopted through SPSS vs 16. Results: The median duration of BF is found to be 20.37 months. Among the six explanatory variables of interest, only two factors - place of residence (relative risk (RR) =1.35) and employment status RR = 1.88) have highly significant effect (P<0.01) on BF and only two factors educational level (RR=1.02) and parity (RR = 0.83) are found to be statistically significant (P<0.05) on BF. Conclusion: The residence, education, employment status and parity have significant effects on the present duration of BF that is about 20 months which is below the India's national figure of 25 months and WHO recommended figure of 24 months. This study intended to explore the school environmental factors influencing female pupils’ academic performance in public primary schools at Iringa Municipality. A cross-sectional study design was used where structured questionnaire using open and closed ended questionnaire as well as interviews to participants were used to collect primary information from 123 girls’ pupils and 36 key informants from seven selected public primary schools. Data analysis was done through descriptive statistics (SPSS). The study findings revealed that harsh environmental factors contributing to poor academic performance through sexual harassment by pest teachers, longer distance of a female pupils form schools that affect pupils attendance and drop out, Shortage of teaching and learning resources as well as facilities i.e. text books, library and shortage of latrines  while teaching and learning it is difficult for them to deriver pedagogical principal of teaching following large class size 68-80, and the bias attitude of the teacher towards subject matter that girls are always do performs poor in science subjects than boys. Finally, the study recommends that the government should build hostels for standard six and seven female pupils for solving the issue of long distance and drop out. Good and enough latrines should be built for girls and boys. Teachers should be well trained in order to handle girls well and also government should organize regular workshops for teachers. Either girls pupils should all the time helped by both male and female teachers in their problems and academic matters openly to avoid bias and mistrust among male teachers.

Background: Immunization is the most economic and most efficient solution to prevent children from infectious diseases. Despite launch of several programmes by the government, parents attitude and knowledge towards vaccination is what matters most. Objective:(i) To study immunization related details of children in general population of UHTC. (ii) To counsel mothers regarding immunization. Methodology: A questionnaire based cross sectional study was conducted for 2 month duration (August and September 2020) among 100 mothers who visited general outdoor of a UHTC in Udaipur city.Data was entered in MS Excel and analysed through SPSS. Result: Majority of the mothers were of the age group 21-25 years (56%),educated upto secondary school (49%), were housewives / unemployed (46%) . The source of information for the maximum participants were health workers. Majority chose government set ups for vaccination of their children (91%).Among all, 69% were fully immunized,30% were partially immunized and only 1% were not immunized at all. An overall 38% drop-out rate was seen. The most common reason of non-vaccination was found to be fear of side effects among the parents (37%).Conclusion: Active and comprehensive involvement of sociologists, behavioural scientists and health personnel is very important to produce effective changes in the attitudes and practices regarding immunization of children.

This article analyze about policy influence of Family Hope Program toward reduce the poverty in Bontolebang Village, North Galesong Subdistrict. The methodology of this research is mix methods that combine quantitative and qualitative approach with questionnaire and interview instrument. The determination of sample in this research uses probability sampling techniques, the category of sample is beneficiary participant of the Family Hope Program but because the spectrum of population is too large so it just takes 80 people and 3 informants. Data collection technique are observation, questionnaire, interview, and documentation. Data analysis technique use regression analysis. Data validity technique are validity and reability testing. The result of this research indicate that policy influence of Family Hope Program in Bontolebang Village, North Galesong Subdistrict went very well. This is based on the average score obtained from statement item amounts 266,9 or 83,41% which indicate that implementation of Family Hope Program occupies on the very good category. Afterwards, this research indicate that policy of Family Hope Program has positive and significant effect on poverty reduction amounts 62,7% and the rest amounts 37,3% caused by other programs from the government.

Introduction: The role of the family is the specific behavior expected by someone in the family member. Anxiety is a fear that is not clear and is not supported by the situation. Objective:  To Know the Relationship of Family Role to the Level of Anxiety in the Elderly in Hamlet 01 Kukusan Beji-Depok Method: The research method uses analytics with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was 288 people with a sample of 81 respondents using the Slovin formula. In the sampling technique using cluster sampling. Results: The results showed that the respondents with a bad family role as many as 41 (50.6%) anxiety levels of the middle aged were 59 (72.8%). The results of statistical tests using the chi-square test indicate that there is a significant or significant relationship between the role of the family and the level of anxiety of the elderly with a value of p-value 0.01. Conclusion: It was concluded that there was a relationship between the role of the family and the level of anxiety of the elderly in the Hamlet 01 Kukusan Beji District Depok City.

Objective: To determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare workers and healthcare students in higher education and to assess their clinical knowledge, media use, risk perception, perception of governmental measures, and adherence to preventive guidelines to provide policymakers with field-based evidence.Methods: This cross-sectional quantitative survey was conducted by two-stage cluster sampling among Swiss healthcare workers, who performed patient care during the first pandemic wave, and who also pursued an education at a university of applied sciences at the same time (a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing or an executive degree in healthcare). 75 individuals participated between 5th May and 1st June 2020. Their data was analyzed by bivariate hypothesis testing and multiple logistic regression.Results: Considerable levels of task-related and emotional stress were prevalent, accompanied by a large proportion of respondents who did not have sufficient protective materials or necessary decisions in place to effectively protect themselves or others from infection with COVID-19. Knowledge was considerably limited, especially regarding the efficacy of standard hygiene as a preventive measure. The preparation of the government and the healthcare sector was perceived as insufficient.Conclusions: Comprehensive management of infodemic challenges and foresighted development of education, human resources, clinical processes, and protective materials are highly recommended.

Background: Despite the high prevalence of secondhand smoke exposure among Bangladeshi adults, little is known about the knowledge regarding the health effects of exposure to secondhand smoke among the youth aged 15-24 years in Bangladesh. Against this background, the present study was conducted among the youth in Bangladesh to ascertain their levels of knowledge regarding health effects of secondhand smoke and its associated factors.Methods: This was a cross-sectional study of 656 respondents between the age of 15-24 years old selected by multistage cluster sampling. This study was conducted in Dhaka Division, Bangladesh. Data was analyzed using Chi square testing and multivariate logistic regression.Results: The proportion of good, average and poor knowledge scores among respondents were 30.5%, 50.0% and 19.5% respectively. Age and education were significant independent predictors of good knowledge. Furthermore, education and gender were tended as independent predictor of average knowledge. OR for age: 1.12 (95% CI: 1.01 to 1.25); OR for education: 1.27 (95% CI: 1.15 to 1.40).Conclusions: Overall, the results of this study found that less than one-third of the youth had a good level of knowledge on secondhand smoke health effects. The government needs to focus more on less-educated individuals and adolescents if a successful policy is to be implemented.

ABSTRAKPenerapan ASI eksklusif dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor diantaranya pengetahuan dan pendidikan ibu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan penerapan ASI Eksklusif di Kota Samarinda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional secara cross sectional dengan tehnik cluster sampling pada 62 ibu yang memiliki anak usia 6-12 bulan di wilayah Loa Bakung Samarinda. Penelitian dilakukan sejak April hingga Mei 2017 dengan kuesioner. Faktor- faktor yang diteliti meliputi pekerjaan Ibu, pendidikan, pengetahuan dan dukungan suami. Hasil analisis menunjukkan faktor yang berhubungan dengan penerapanASI eksklusif meliputi pengetahuan (p= 0,007<0,05) dan dukungan suami (p = 0,000<0,05). Faktor dukungan suami dan pengetahuan Ibu berpengaruh 7 kali lebih besar dalam keberhasilan penerapan ASI eksklusif dengan nilai OR= 6,587 (CI 95 %= 3,458- 13,598) untuk dukungan suami, sedangkan untuk pengetahuan nilai OR sebesar 6,667 (CI 95% = 0,648 – 68,556).Kata-kata kunci: ASI Eksklusif, pengetahuan, dukungan suamiABSTRACTGiving exclusive breastfeeding has been influenced by many factors, included mother’s knowledge and education. This research aim was to analyze factors related to giving exclusive breastfeeding in Samarinda city. This research used correlational method with cross sectional and cluster sampling in 62 mothers who had children with 6-12 months at Loa bakung District Samarinda. The study was conducted from April to May 2017 used questionaire. Factors which studied were mother’s occupation, education, knowledge and husband support. Analysis result showed that factors related to the giving exclusive breastfeedng were knowledge (p=0,007 < 0,05) and husband support (p=0,000<0,05). Husband support factor and knowledge has affected 7 time higher in successful of giving exclusive breastfeeding OR= 6,587 (CI 95 %= 3,458- 13,598) for husband support and knowledge OR =6,667 (CI 95% = 0,648 – 68,556).Keywords : Exclusive Breastfeeding, knowledge, husband support

Drinking water quality is one of the basic needs of society. In fulfilling its needs, the community has sought a way to buy a gallon of drinking water refill at a cheap price. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect drinking water quality in drinking water depots in the city of Bengkulu. This study is a survey research with cross sectional approach, a sample size in this study as many as 163 samples. Primary data processed by the regression test followed by logistic regression test.The results showed that the dominant factor is the effect of drinking water treatment process with a value of p = 0.000 and Exp. B = 4.454.Recommended for drinking water depots entrepreneurs in drinking water treatment processes to use micro filters with a diameter smaller than viruses, provide training for employees or managers of drinking water and perform maintenance of drinking water processing components on time and as well as the guidance and supervision on a regular basis by the government.
