Abstract This paper deals with the widespread misunderstandings regarding the Islamic standpoint in relation to individual freedom in taking decisions and holding positions as there are arising some voices from human right activists claiming that Islam has abandoned and restricted individual freedoms (Musa: 2019) in such a way where it vialotes the rights of the humans in their private choices. In the same context, this paper tries to study the issue of guardianship in the marriage highlighting some practices which have rooted in many customs giving the impression that guardianship is an absolute authority of the giardians (father, brother…) which deprives the girl to make her own choice. It resulted in some feminists and women rights movements asking for complete abolition of the guardianship in the marriage and demanding full and absolute freedom of marriage for a girl. The present study relies on two methods: inductive method which enables to collect all the academic materials from the related sources, and content analysis method through which correct connotations of guardianship and its practices in the society will be explained highlighting the potential dangers of the demands of complete abolition of the guardianship to the preservation of the family. This paper aims to present the correct understanding on guardianship in the marriage, its rulings and its conditions in the light of Maqasid al-Shariah as it acts to achieve what is beneficial for the family and guarntees its permanence and establishment as well as it removes the potential harms on the marriage of the girl without guardianship. It also indicates its evils as interrupting the objectives of the marriage and family from consequential point of view. As a result, this paper also aims to discusses the resources for inculcating a good and safe family culture which can counter contemporary challenges aiming to destroy the Muslim families of the Ummah.            Keywords: Guardianship, Contract of Marriage, Objectives of the Family, Contemporary Challenges.

Data collection was conducted in April - May 2018 and in-depth interview was used as a research instrument to collect data from two groups of key informants, including 1) community leaders, community seniors, and community commitees, In total eight persons, and 2) skipped-generation families living in a rural north-eastern region of Thailand, in total twenty families. Data analysis was done by the content analysis method. The study indicated that skipped-generation families are the familes with grandparents and grandchildren living together. Most families have an agricultural occupation, because they have a lot of land by inheritance and divided into two parts: housing and farming. Mostly agricultural income by sugar canes and farming can earn 2,400 USD per year. Moreover, remittances from international migrant only 450 USD per month is spent on family expenses and education of grandchildren. Some families do not have enoughmoney to invest in farming in the next year, and they have a lot more debt than 3,000 USD from a migrant who goes to work abroad. However, skipped-generation families have a perception of economic happiness "An empty hand is no lure for a hawk, no man is happy who does not think himself so" So, skipped-generation families must take this view to manage the economic situation of the family, even though the incomes are insuf-ficient to cover their living and lack of labor due to migrant workers going to work abroad. This affects the economic happiness of skipped-generation families to sustain their living in a rural society.SKIPPED-GENERATION FAMILIES:Economic Happiness in RuralNorth-Eastern Thailand

The concept of inclusive education is considered as a tendency for the development of educational system. The effective implementation of this concept is closely related to the expansion of the professio-nal functions of the teachers. Accordingly, the teachers need professional competence, which allows to respect the educational needs of each student. The phenomenological study, presented in the publication, analyses teachers' associations about inclusive education. In this context, associations are considered as a philosophical-psychological category, which includes a link between the ideas and concepts, recalling their nature and defining their value. The research data is analysed employing a qualitative content analysis method. The results of the study revealed two directions related to the assumptions about inclusive edu-cation: some of the participants link their associations with available or well-known definitions of inclusive education, while some express associations based in their experience.

Autonomy in language learning is recognized as a basic skill language learners need to develop. This study describes the autonomous work activities university students carry out in a first-semester course of an English teaching program, and the amount of time they invest in each of these activities. Moreover, it describes the teachers’ perspective on students’ autonomous work. It is a descriptive mixed study with an exploratory scope. The study considers data generated through the application of a questionnaire and an in-depth interview to 48 freshmen from an English Pedagogy Program, as well as a questionnaire and a focus group applied to eight English teachers from the same program. The qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis method; and the quantitative data, through a frequency method of analysis. The analysis reveals that there is an imbalance between the time teachers estimate students devote to autonomous work and the real time students declare to invest in it. In relation to students autonomous work activities, it can be concluded that they concentrate on activities which are less stressful and the ones they do not need to interact with teachers. This study provides empiric information that could be useful to design courses that consider autonomous work.
