The financial stability of a company is one of the most important criteria for assessing the situation of enterprises both for the current period and for subsequent periods of functioning. Of course, every enterprise wants to have business liquidity, otherwise the basis of entrepreneurship collapses; however, the purpose of doing business is to make a profit. An enterprise can make good profits, but at the same time have large liabilities, that is, debts. In this case, it is difficult to call the company financially stable. The onset of the economic crisis in the Russian Federation only prompts the conduct of such studies. Firstly, because it is necessary to understand how the situation in the country's economy as a whole affects a single enterprise, and secondly, what the prerequisites for this influence can be noticed in advance and how to try to prevent them. The relevance of this study lies in the fact that today in Russia there are a number of difficulties with assessing the status of organizations and their adequate comparison with reality. There are many different methods for assessing the financial condition and, in particular, the financial stability of a company. However, when choosing one of them, it is necessary to consider them in order to identify the shortcomings of their application to certain market conditions. Identification of these disadvantages of different theories will allow us to competently and reliably analyse the financial condition of various companies. It is also worth noting that this topic is relevant not only for the companies themselves. The presence of positive dynamics of financial stability indicators as an integral part of the financial condition of the enterprise is one of the most important bases of investment attractiveness. Therefore, not only a company itself is interested in such studies in the inside, but also other market entities from the outside.

Introduction. The solution of modern problems of stabilizing the national economy, ensuring the social development of society is possible only on the basis of positive shifts, primarily in the aspect of strengthening the financial condition of business entities. One of the important components of the analysis and management functions is to ensure the stable development of the enterprise and its financial stability. The concept of financial stability is complex and multifactorial, which is determined by the economic environment in which the enterprise operates, as well as the results of its functioning, the ability to actively and effectively respond to changes in internal and external factors. The purpose of the paper is in the study of the economic essence of financial stability, its determining factors, as well as the development of recommendations for improving the methodology of its management. Results. The financial stability of an enterprise is a complex, multifactorial category. The philosophy of the definition of the economic category “financial stability” provides for consideration as a reproduction process. This category characterizes the economic relations that make up the financial mechanism for ensuring the progressive socio-economic development of the enterprise. The analysis of theoretical research allows us to identify five approaches of scientists to determine the essence of financial stability. These approaches differ in the completeness of the characteristics of the financial condition of the enterprise. The variety of approaches indicates the ambiguity of the authors' definition of the concept of financial stability. Each author interprets this economic category from the standpoint of the goals and objectives of its research. The complexity of the category of financial stability of business entities lies in its essence, displaying the level of the financial condition and financial results of the enterprise, the ability to fulfill its obligations and ensure the development of the enterprise while maintaining credit and solvency, relative independence from changes in internal and external factors. A quantitative characteristic of financial stability is a margin of safety, which is determined by the structure of property and capital and ensures financial independence and solvency in the current period and in the future. It is this definition that determines such a logic for assessing financial stability as a sequence with varying degrees of detail in the consideration of all processes associated with the movement of financial resources, which are expressed in a change in the structure of property and capital. Conclusion. In general, the analysis of theoretical approaches to assessing financial stability and their generalization allows us to conclude that the financial stability of economic entities should be considered as a complex category, reflecting the level and structure of financial condition and financial results, the ability to fulfill their obligations and ensure the development of activities, while maintaining credit and solvency. It is also universal that the quantitative characteristics of financial stability should be considered a margin of safety, which the company, due to the structure of property and capital, and also ensures independence and solvency in the current period and in the future.

The classifications of factors ensuring the competitiveness considered by different authors are analyzed and the most complete and best one for use is distinguished in this paper. General scientific and empirical techniques based on the systematic approach are used, methods of generalization, comparison, analysis and synthesis are applied in the investigation process. The carried out analysis makes it possible to identify six main features of «competitiveness» concept. The formula for competitiveness calculation is presented and proposals necessary for the enterprise competitiveness growth are given. Taking into account all the necessary conditions for ensuring the competitiveness formation, the definition of «company competitiveness» concept is given, as well as the main aspects of this concept are provided. It is determined that the analysis of competitive positions in the market involves, first of all, the identification of its strengths and weaknesses, as well as factors influencing the attitude of consumers to the enterprise. The essence of “factors of competitiveness” category is determined and the list of the main factors of the enterprise competitiveness is given. The classification and analysis of the factors influencing the enterprise competitiveness proposed by professor from Harvard school M. Porter are given. The classifications of factors of enterprise competitiveness by such authors as: A. Olivier, A. Diane and R. Usrse, A. A. Thompson and A. Strickland, H. M. Skudar, T. M. Kulinich and B. V. Burkina, V. Synko and R. Yu. Yemadakov are also presented. The most well-known approach in economic literature, based on the combination of all competitiveness factors into two groups is highlighted. The classification of external and internal factors proposed by V. Synko is considered in detail. It is noted that there are factors that are less determined by the enterprise and factors that are almost entirely dependent on the enterprise. As a result, it is determined that competitive advantages significantly depend on the effectiveness of competitiveness factors use, and competitiveness is a set of enterprise characteristics, but its assessment cannot be done without taking into account external factors.

Using a large customer base and a wide network of branches and outlets, banking experts expect that revenues from the sale of insurance products in 2021 may amount to 15% of total bank revenues, as the volume of bank insurance in JSC CB PrivatBank is growing quite rapidly. The activity of banks in market conditions is subject to its general laws, and therefore requires the development of a viable mechanism for managing financial activities, aimed at increasing the competitiveness of banks. Thus, the ability of bank managers to determine the degree of financial stability of their bank as well as that of the competing banks and counterparties is essential in making decisions. Therefore, the search for ways to optimize the financial condition of the bank is one of the principles of further rapid development of the banking system in Ukraine.

The relevance of the publication is due to the need to analyze the effectiveness of the Deposit Guarantee Scheme developed in Ukraine in the context of identified problems related to the clearing of the banking system of Ukraine by withdrawing from the market «schematic» and under-capitalized banks that had poor credit portfolios. The purpose of the article is to investigate the problems of the activity of the Deposit Guarantee Fund in Ukraine and to substantiate recommendations and measures for the improvement of this system. Research methods: terminological and statistical analysis, comparison, logical generalization, analysis, synthesis. The limits of the study: the analysis is limited by the study of internal factors for the period 2013–2018, as well as the available statistical information as of November 2019.The analysis of the main problems of the DGF activities has allowed to identify the key ones, which are currently: incorrect definition of the objectives of the Deposit Guarantee Scheme in Ukraine, which are enshrined in the DGF Development Strategy for 2013–2017; the lack of adequate interaction of the deposit guarantee system with other elements of the system of ensuring financial stability; limited resources of the Fund and lack of tools for profitable placement of own funds; a small amount of the guaranteed deposit amount for bank deposits and a limited number of claimants for reimbursement. The results of the analysis suggested ways to ensure approximation of national banking legislation to guarantee deposits to the requirements of the European Union, in particular to Directive 2014/49/EU and 2014/59/EU: clarification of legal terminology (definition of terms «unavailable contribution»; «contributory contribution»; «guarantee»; «target level»; «low risk assets», etc.); attribution to the main task of the Fund the protection of the rights of all contributors, including legal entities, financial institutions, etc. with the corresponding extension of the Fund's powers; changes to the Fund's financing system and investment principles of the Deposit Guarantee Scheme in line with EU standards, etc.The findings and recommendations obtained from the analysis will have a positive effect on improving the efficiency of the deposit guarantee system in Ukraine and bringing it closer to EU requirements.
