This review paper focuses on the different synthetic methodologies that researchers have adopted to synthesize various thiosemicarbazide derivatives with different biological activities of synthesized compounds in the last 20 years. Most of the investigations available in the literature are directed to the biological activities of thiosemicarbazide derivatives with less discussion on its synthetic schemes. This review article presents various reaction scheme, which has been adopted for thiosemicarbazide derivative synthesis along with the reported pharmacological activities of synthesized analogs. The available literature in the article aims to encourage more studies on the synthesis of thiosemicarbazide derivatives, which will help for drug discovery having thiosemicarbazide nucleus.

Dermatomycosis is a skin disease caused by fungi, including dermatophytes and yeasts. Its diagnostic methods include KOH smear, fungal culture test, Wood's lamp test, biopsy, and molecular biology test. Superficial dermatomycosis can already be diagnosed using only KOH smear and culture test, so biopsy has not yet received attention from many clinicians. Nonetheless, biopsy is one of the most basic tests in the field of dermatology, with high diagnostic value for deep and superficial dermatomycoses, which often shows negative findings on KOH smear or fungal culture test. In this study, the histopathologic findings and special chemical staining methods in dermatomycosis are described. This review article is an upgraded English version of the review paper "Dermatomycosis from the perspective of dermatopathology (Korean Version 1.0)" published in 2016.

Background: European Association of Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, and Nutrition for 50 years provided a good, professional teaching of gastroenterology across Europe by world-known experts. Teaching tips and tricks to achieve maximum effects are summarized in this review article. Summary: The good speaker should be motivated to teach the audience at the time of lecture a topic in way that information provided is remembered. The educational aim should realistic, well selected, and precisely defined. Putting an order and clarity into information provided are crucial. Speaker should feel comfortable during lecture and enjoy it. Ways to achieve that are described in this review paper. Key Messages: Medical teaching by lectures should be simple, clear, well-structured, and enjoyable.

Cardiac arrest is a life-threatening condition with low survival rate. Over the years ACLS guidelines have been developed to reduce cardiac arrest specific mortality rate. In this review article, the authors researched steroid use during and after CPR for determining its effect on survival rate and post cardiac arrest disabilities. Scholarly articles from well-known reputed journals relevant to both cardiac arrest and steroid use since 1960 have been reviewed. This article first examines the question whether cardiac arrest can be considered an inflammatory state. Afterwards, evidence of the beneficial role of steroid use in cardiac arrest and in other cardiac conditions have been outlined. In conclusion, this review paper summarizes any benefits of steroid use in cardiac arrest.Bangladesh Crit Care J September 2018; 6(2): 92-94

: In recent years, reductive dehydration of primary nitro compounds has been demonstrated as an attractive and alternative approach for the direct synthesis of nitriles. Although scattered information on the conversion of alkyl nitrites and/or nitroalkanes to the corresponding nitriles has been reported in the literature, a research paper describing comprehensive information at one place is scarce. The present review has attempted to focus on the uncatalyzed as well as catalyzed reductive dehydration of nitro compounds directly into nitriles in the presence of dehydrating reagents. Non-metal and metal-catalyzed dehydration of nitro compounds and the use of radical chemistry in accessing nitriles have been highlighted in this review article.

In this genre analysis research paper, we compare U.S. patents, contracts, and regulations on technical matters with a focus upon the relation between vagueness and communicative purposes and subpurposes of these three genres. Our main interest is the investigation of intergeneric conventions across the three genres, based on the software analysis of three corpora (one for each genre, 1 million words per corpus). The result of the investigation is that intergeneric conventions are found at the level of types of expressed linguistic vagueness, but that intergeneric conventions at the level of actual formulations are rare. The conclusion is that at this latter level the influence from the situation type underlying the individual genre is more important than the overarching legal character of the genres, when we talk about introducing explicit vagueness in the text.

From the beginning of life on Earth it is evident that natural catastrophes cause a lot of destruction to human life and property. One of the major natural phenomena is the Earthquake. Sudden shaking of ground is a difficult challenge to any structure standing on earth. Due to Improper design of the structure without seismic resistance many buildings have collapsed and lives have lost during earthquakes. Different shapes & materials of buildings have been used to achieve the strength required to withstand the earthquake. In modern era, lots of seismic force resisting techniques are being used to make a structure/building earthquake resistant. These techniques include introducing Shear walls, Bracings, base isolation, column jacketing etc. to enhance the structure. In this paper, I present a Comparative analysis of earthquake resisting techniques on a G+10 story building with the help of different types of Shear walls & Bracings, using software. The comparison is done between: an un-Resisting structure, parallel shear walls, L-shaped shear wall, diagonal bracings, X-shaped bracings & Vshaped bracings. The use of shear walls and bracings helps to strengthen then structure to make it more Earthquake resistant. The analysis in done on a G+10 building for seismic zone III as per IS 1893:2002 codal provisions. The software that I have used to carry out this analysis is Staad pro v8. It is found out that shear walls and bracing contribute largely in reducing the deflection by increasing the strength and stiffness of the building. The results of this project can further be used to enhance the seismic strength of buildings using combination of seismic resistance techniques.
