This research focuses on the impact of netspeak on the formal writing skills of the users.  It is labelled as the hub of slang and informal language content by many experts. The current analysis accounts for  five objectives including the identification of the prime causative factors responsible for deviation in the use of the standard variety, the appliance of the impact of Netspeak on formal writing, the nature of its impact (positive or negative), the assessment of its impact with reference to age and on the basis of the kind of response netspeak receives from the living generations, determining its sustainability.  The objectives are attained through a questionnaire, collecting responses from the individuals belonging to Generation X and Generation Y. This study proposes that the influence of mother tongue and code switching are the prime causative factors of netspeak. The research further showcases the impact of the electronic variety on the users’ formal writing skills which can disturb their formal linguistic framework; however, the variety on its own has been indicated previously as a handy tool for the users. Focusing on the factor of age neutrality, the current study suggests that although Generation X is more inclined towards the use of the standard variety, yet it remains quite open-minded towards the existence and usage of the new variety on social media, stating it to be a “feature of the progressive world”.  The research reflects the enthralling nature of  netspeak which has massively contributed to its popularity. It was inferred that neither the platform (the digital world) is losing its power nor the users are in the mood of giving up on it in the near future. It can be said that it’s a budding variety for the people by the people, born to live, thus strengthening the sustainability argument.

Developing a corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy can help companies remain competitive, grow market share, and enhance customer loyalty. As CSR has recently become part of corporate strategy, many corporations are confronted with an employee talent shortfall. This shortfall is attributed to factors from the simple fact that there are not enough people, like Generation X not being able to replace the retiring Baby Boomers to the more complex concept of a talent mismatch. This research investigates this intersection of CSR and talent and examines the impact of CSR on employee attraction and retention, with a special focus on Generation Y. Interviews included 36 qualitative, semi-structured interviews. Results suggest that potential employees are not as much attracted by the CSR programme, but by the values of the company. Results suggest that employees do not necessarily stay at companies because of the CSR programme. From the findings, a practitioners’ guide was created. This guide outlines the drivers of attraction and retention that focus on iValue, iDevelop and iRetain.

The research talks about the conflict of the land acquisition of Jatigede dam construction at Wado, Sumedang. This research has a purpose to know how the process of a land acquisition is, the causative factors of a land acquisition, the impacts of a land acquisition and the conflict resolution for the land acquisition of Jatigede dam construction in Wado. This research usedqualitative approach and case study method. The data collected with observation technique, deep interview and documentation study. The research informant consists of the land acquisition committee, the institution in Wado,the society figure and the people who got the impact. The result of this research shows that the process of a land acquisition make horizontal conflict and vertical conflict come up which caused by the individual differences and had a impact on social system and society economic. Active participation and teamwork is the most effective effort in solving the conflict of the land acquisition of Jatigede dam construction.

Skill shortages along with changes in employee demographics have required that employers reconsider hitherto undifferentiated retention strategies in favor of a more targeted approach that accounts for precisely which total reward factors induce retention among talented employees. One notable gap in corresponding research is insufficient empirical data regarding the impact of employees’ generation on the relation between total rewards and retention. This article addresses existed gab(s) in the literature by exploring how total rewards—categorized into extrinsic, intrinsic, and social rewards—influence retention among two distinct groups in today’s labor force, Generation X and Generation Y, via surveys conducted among schoolteachers in Jordan. A total of 250 copies of structured questionnaire were administered to the high school teachers in the eastern areas of Jordan, while partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed for the model analysis, and multigroup analysis was conducted to determine the moderating effects of generations. Findings revealed that no statistically significant difference in terms of the total rewards–employee retention relationship exists between the two generations. For both generations, extrinsic rewards had a significant impact on retention, while social rewards had none. Intrinsic rewards proved effective among Generation Y though not Generation X employees although the difference was minimal. Ultimately, in recruiting and managing employees of both generations in Jordan’s education sector, the results of this study indicate that employers should channel their resources primarily into providing attractive extrinsic rewards.

The purpose of the current study was to comparatively estimate, for generation X and generation Y, the impact of corporate environmental and social responsibility on customer loyalty, via customer–company identification and customer satisfaction as mediators. For this, a survey was conducted among a sample of telecom customers, comprising 445 members of generation X, and 601 of generation Y. Data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling and multigroup analysis. Results revealed that the impact of corporate environmental responsibility on customer loyalty is significantly higher within generation Y, while the social facet of corporate responsibility is more relevant for customers from generation X. The current study contributes to the literature by developing and testing, within multiple generational groups, a theoretical model which outlines the links between environmental and social responsibility and customer outcomes. As these relationships have been scarcely analyzed in the context of age cohort membership as a moderator, our study fills an important literature gap, emphasizing significant differences between generations X and Y. The findings have relevant implications for the effective communication of corporate environmental and social responsibility activities, providing important insights on how messages and communication channels should be adapted to generations X and Y as target audiences.

Many researchers have shown the purchase of the FMCG product as a planned purchase, but contrary to those, this paper will attempt to find out the impact of an impulse purchase on FMCG products. The paper will also try to showcase the presence of impulse purchases in the FMCG product category through a Model by using AMOS 23. The researcher will collect data from 150 respondents from Golaghat and Jorhat district through a structured questionnaire that will further be broken down and analyzed through SPSS 20. This paper will assist the readers in understanding presence of impulse purchase towards FMCG products and also shows the mentality of the people of the Golaghat and Jorhat district of Assam, India, concerning FMCG impulse Purchase and will give a glimpse of their demeanor towards FMCG products

Hopes, expectations and ambitions of people change in the course of time. People from different eras have different characteristics from those of the previous ones that are previous generations. These characteristics are reflected in the leadership behaviours they prefer and expect from the people they work with. In our age, people forming the workforce are generally from Generation X and Generation Y, which are different from each other. In this study, the aim is to compare the general leadership expectations of these two generations in maritime sector and discuss which style(s) best suit Generation Y maritime women, who will be in majority in the workplaces in the near future. To do this, we used some of the statements from the survey which is originally prepared for MENTORESS Project. We compare the responses given by women belonging to Generation X and Generation Y and discuss which leadership styles are better for Generation Y. In the end, it is found that two leadership styles, democratic and participative, seem to suit better to Generation Y women in maritime.

Abstract Plant varieties protection is one of intellectual property rights branches providing protection to breeders, a people who carries out research and testing or the activity of discovering and developing a plant variety to produce new variety. In addition, it also known local varieties, namely varieties that already exist and are cultivated from generation to generation by farmers, and belong to the community. Varieties cannot be protected if one of them on the contrary to the environmental sustainability. On the other hand, the environment is one of the problems faced by the people of Bangka Belitung Islands until now, especially when it is associated with mining activities. This empirical juridical research method analyzes how the impact of environmental protection and management efforts towards the efforts to protect plant varieties in the Bangka Belitung Islands. The result of the research indicates that the damaged environment due to massive mining has implications to the protection of plant varieties in this area. The clearing of land plots and housing that has been happening lately also has implications, either cleared or built on land that was originally primary forest or built on land that was originally a plantation consisting of local varieties.

Work-Life Balance (WLB) is a situation where a person manages to balance work, family life and other responsibilities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, which began by the end of 2019, many companies have implemented a Work from Home (WFH) policy that allows a worker to spend all his time at home and with a relatively light workload.  The workforce today onward will be dominated by employees from generation X, namely people aged between 45 to 56 years and people from generation Y, who are 27-44 years of age.  Each generation has its own characteristics of how they work and respond to work situations. This research was conducted in an effort to determine the impact of WFH and workload on Generation X and Generation Y.  The population in this study were generation X and Y in Malang City, who had carried out WFH.   Using the Slovin formula, the samples were 228 male and 178 female workers of Generation X and Generation Y.  The results of this study indicated that WFH did not significantly affect the WLB of Generation X and Generation Y while workload had a significant effect on the WLB of Generation X and Generation Y.

Background: Ethical issues have been raised about using the psychological autopsy approach in the study of suicide. The impact on informants of control cases who participated in case-control psychological autopsy studies has not been investigated. Aims: (1) To investigate whether informants of suicide cases recruited by two approaches (coroners’ court and public mortuaries) respond differently to the initial contact by the research team. (2) To explore the reactions, reasons for participation, and comments of both the informants of suicide and control cases to psychological autopsy interviews. (3) To investigate the impact of the interviews on informants of suicide cases about a month after the interviews. Methods: A self-report questionnaire was used for the informants of both suicide and control cases. Telephone follow-up interviews were conducted with the informants of suicide cases. Results: The majority of the informants of suicide cases, regardless of the initial route of contact, as well as the control cases were positive about being approached to take part in the study. A minority of informants of suicide and control cases found the experience of talking about their family member to be more upsetting than expected. The telephone follow-up interviews showed that none of the informants of suicide cases reported being distressed by the psychological autopsy interviews. Limitations: The acceptance rate for our original psychological autopsy study was modest. Conclusions: The findings of this study are useful for future participants and researchers in measuring the potential benefits and risks of participating in similar sensitive research. Psychological autopsy interviews may be utilized as an active engagement approach to reach out to the people bereaved by suicide, especially in places where the postvention work is underdeveloped.

The limitations of waste management in the Cipayung Landfill (TPA) causing a buildup of garbage up to more than 30 meters. This condition has a health impact on people in Cipayung Village. This study aims to analyze the impact of waste management at Cipayung Landfill on public health in Cipayung Village, Depok City. The research is descriptive qualitative. Data obtained by purposive sampling. Data was collected by interviews, observation and documentation. Based on interviews with 30 respondents, it was found that the most common diseases were diarrhea, then other types of stomach ailments, subsequent itching on the skin and coughing. This is presumably because the environmental conditions in the form of unhealthy air and water and clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) have not become the habit of the people. The results indicated that there were no respondents who had implemented all of these criteria. In general respondents have implemented  3 criteria, namely maintaining hair hygiene, maintaining skin cleanliness, and maintaining hand hygiene. While maintaining clean water storage is the most often overlooked behavior. To minimize this health impact, improvements in waste management in Cipayung landfill are needed along with continuous socialization and education to develop PHBS habits and the importance of maintaining a clean environment.
