The study aimed at investigating the level of some affective factors which influenced the English for Management Learning Achievement; and uncovering how, psychologically, those factors were felt by the students. The study had been carried out in three steps; first, theoretical and empirical study on affective factors yielded in six factors; second, data collection on those factors through questionnaires, and third, focused group discussion (FGD). The study applied mixed methods of data collection and analysis. Quantitative method using t test was applied to determine the level of determination of the six affective factors upon above average and low average students, respectively. Qualitative method was applied through FGD and descriptive analysis. The results of the análisis show that the level of anxiety and learned helplessness of the above average students is lower than of the below average ones; while the level of self efficacy, locus of control, interest, dan integrativeness of the above average students is higher than of the below average ones. For the above average students, low level of anxiety and learned helplessness supports learning, and high level of self-efficacy, locus of control, interest, dan integrativeness is a bid modality for their success. The below average students, however, tend to be stucked by high level of anxiety and learned helplessness which hinders their learning.

This study investigated whether it is the learners’ attitudes in the northern geopolitical zone of Nigeria which impede them from achieving high level of proficiency in the study of English language as compared to that of their counterparts in the southern geopolitical zone. Three research questions were generated to guide the study. 28-item questionnaire adapted from Gardner’s (1985b) Attitude Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) were used to elicit the data needed. The descriptive survey research design that was adopted for the study comprised of four-part Likert-type statements. 610 students (male and female) registered for SSCE examination were selected from 18 government-owned public secondary schools in the Northern and Southern geopolitical zones using stratified random sampling technique. The data collected were analyzed using simple mean scores and percentages. The result of the study showed that students in the Northern geopolitical zones, in fact, have high positive attitude towards the learning of English but were not motivated to learn it and that language anxiety had a pervasive impact on the language learning experience of the students. The study recommends amongst others that, language teachers need to evolve effective teaching and learning strategies that generate the attitudes and motivation most conducive to the production of more successful learners of English language.

Human resources have a major role in every activity of the company. The company's goal will be achieved by creating a good employee’s performance. One of the factors that affect the employee's performance is self-efficacy (a person's beliefs about the ability and chances to successfully achieve a certain task). Employees of the company should have high self-efficacy so it can improve the company performance because self-efficacy will encourage someone more eager to achieve optimal results in their performance. The good or poor employee performance can be determined by performance appraisal of employees based on the standard that has been set. The purpose of this research is to know employees self-efficacy, the employee's performance at PT Sandy Globlino (SND), and to determine the effect of self-efficacy to employees performance at PT Sandy Globlindo (SND). This research use probability sampling technique, with 101 samples and spreading questionnaire using a Likert scale with interval data (1-5) to get data. Methods of data analysis used in this research include the classic assumption test, descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and coefficient determination. The results of this research is self-efficacy of employees at PT Sandy Globlindo (SND) has self-efficacy with levels of good or high, the performance of employees at PT Sandy Globlindo (SND) have levels of good or high, and the results show that there is a positive and strong relationship between self-efficacy to employees performance in PT Sandy Globlindo (SND) with a correlation value of 0.746. Other than that obtained results that Y = 31.328 + 0,746X which means that if self-efficacy increased one unit then the performance of employees will increase by 0.746 units. This research also obtained results that self-efficacy able to explain the performance of SND’s employees by 55.7% and 44.3% explained by other factors not examined in this study.

The efficacious attitude of a person plays a vital role to develop psychological well-being, interpersonal and self-esteem. An individual with high level of self-efficacy is able to regulate and balance thoughts over actions. The basic purpose of the current study was to find out the relationship between self-efficacy and workplace stress of university teachers. A quantitative co-relational research design was followed to achieve the research objectives. 180 faculty members working in three different public sector universities in Pakistan were selected using multiphase sampling technique. Self-developed self-efficacy scale (based on two factors; general teaching efficacy and personal teaching efficacy) and workplace stress inventory were used to collect the required data. Data were analyzed applying mean score, t-test and Pearson correlation. Findings of the study reveal indirect correlation between the level of teachers self-efficacy and their perceived stress at workplace. Few recommendations were made on the basis of the findings of this study.

Abstract As a consequence of the unprecedented labor market circumstances that the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic brought about, organizations have faced challenges never seen before. One such challenge was the sudden ubiquity of working from home, which resulted in an intensive learning experience for employees and employers alike. While there is an increasing body of research on working from home in general, the perceived effectiveness of this mode of working is still under-researched. This niche provided the inspiration for us to investigate what factors might influence employees' self-efficacy in working from home arrangements. We conducted a mixed-methods case study by collecting both qualitative and quantitative data from 24 employees of a division of the Hungarian subsidiary of a chemical and consumer goods multinational. The purpose of our investigation was to gain a deeper understanding of perceived self-efficacy and self-regulation during the learning processes that the participants experienced under the new circumstances. Results suggest that the perceived high level of work-efficiency among the employees of the examined division was based on the firmly controlled work-division, trusting managers, as well as supportive and clear communication, which created space for autonomy in the adaptation process. The findings also revealed that self-reflection acted as a predictor of perceived work self-efficacy.

Teleteaching, though in a relatively early stage at Monash University, has the potential to provide a conduit for high level interaction between students and staff on various campuses in 'real time'. Whilst the technology holds valuable potential, there are unresolved discrepancies between 'what can be done' and the academics' understandings and common practice of 'what is actually being done' with teleteaching. It is only through research into current practices and attitudes that an understanding will be gained of the strategies that need to be adopted to ensure that teleteaching becomes an enriching learning experience for staff and students alike.
This article focuses on the perceptions and practices of staff within the realm of current training and support. It aims to provide an understanding of difficulties experienced in the use of teleteaching, and to suggest solutions emerging from the research. To illustrate current practices and attitudes towards the use of teleteaching, this paper reports on a study conducted by Tennant (1997) into the use of teleteaching at Monash University to deliver lectures between two campuses. The paper concentrates on andragogical, interaction and training issues in teleteaching with large groups of students as seen through the eyes of both academic staff and students.

In 2017, there were 26,540 drug users in Riau Islands. 3 out of 10 people who undergo rehabilitation has experienced relapse. If drug users can use coping strategies effectively, self-efficacy or confidence can develop well. The implication is that drug users can control themselves so as not to relapse. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between coping strategies and self-efficacy of drug users during rehabilitation. This research is correlational research. The instruments used in this study were the coping scale and self-efficacy. These instruments were used after being tested and declared as valid and reliable. The sample in this study were 35 people who were undergoing a program in the primary program and re-entry program at the Rehabilitation Workshop in BNN Batam which taken by cluster random sampling technique. The findings of this study are (1) the majority of the coping strategies of respondents are at a moderate level with a percentage of 88.57%; (2) the majority of respondents have high level self-efficacy with a percentage of 80%; and (3) there is a relationship between coping strategies and drug users' self-efficacy during the rehabilitation period with p value 0,011. It is expected that drug rehabilitation institutions can increase the level of coping strategies and self-efficacy of drug users in the rehabilitation period by teaching the coping skills and relapse prevention as well as exploring sources of self-efficacy.

Abstract Introduction:There is a growing concern regarding self-care and chemotherapy side effects. The present study aimed to assess the effectiveness of self-care measures on knowledge, self-efficacy, and performance status among cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: A quasi-experimental study was conducted in Dr. Kamatchi Memorial Hospital, India. Using purposive sampling technique, 200 cancer patients were selected. Patients were interviewed using semi-structured knowledge questionnaires, Modified Stanford Patient Education Research Center Self-efficacy scale, deliberate self-efficacy with rating scale under four subheadings, and ECOG Performance Status Scale with 5–point grading scale i.e., dead to fully active. Results:There was adequate knowledge (95%) on self-care measures after the intervention. The mean score was significant, i.e., 21.33 (2.25), which had difference between post-knowledge score in experimental and control was statistically significant at P < 0.001 level. The majority of patients reported a high self-efficacy level (t = 198.60, P < 0.001). In addition, despite self-efficacy and knowledge the performance status observed at each cycle, i.e., 4 cycles had mean score of t = 32.13, P < 0.001, showed high level of performance status. Conclusion: The study revealed that the self-care measures during each cycle had improved the selfefficacy and performance status to high level, which in turn reduced the side effects of chemotherapy to the certain level.
