Students will be left behind in technological developments unless teachers in vocational schools constantly update their technical skills. One of such developments that is widely applied in the industry is the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) application. This service aimed to share knowledge about SCADA technology with students of the Mambaul Ulum Vocational High School, Gresik in preparation for their entry into the industrial world. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' knowledge and mastery of Arduino which functions as a SCADA. This is further proven by the participants’ ability to solve the given case study.

So far, in implementing school strategies, they tend not to utilize Information and Communication Technology (ICT), despite the availability of ICT resources available. Stages of strategic management are needed to generate the vision, mission, objectives, policy, program, budget, and procedures as well as control and evaluation process as an effort to utilize ICT to improve school quality. Based on the interpretation and the results of the study, it is concluded that schools have organized stages in strategic management that enable schools to have a quality profile. The impact of effective utilization of ICTs for schools is the achievement of effective school management, as per the National Education Standards, which is characterized by effective planning, implementation, control, and evaluation of school ICTs.The purpose of this study is to get a general description, describe, and reveal the Strategic Management of Information and Communication Technology Utilization to Improve the Quality of School Learning in Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational High School and Garut 1 Vocational High School, both on environmental analysis, strategic formulation, implementation and strategic evaluation. The research method used in this research is the case study method, because the problems studied occur in the place and situation of Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational School and Vocational High School 1 Garut. The use of case study models in this study is based on the consideration that to provide an overview of the strategic management activities of the use of ICTs carried out at vocational high schools with the ultimate goal of being able to improve the quality of school learning. Based on observations in the field of SMK 1 Garut and SMK Al Musaddadiyah Ciledug Garut is one of the public schools and private schools that have these advantages.

This study investigated the students’ speaking anxiety in the first grade of vocational high school. It emphasized on the level, the causal factors and the strategy to reduce the anxiety. It applied descriptive qualitative to answer the research questions. The data were obtained through questionnaire and interview. The Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) questionnaires and interview were administered to 30 students. It was revealed that [a1] the factors that make students feel anxious in speaking in English were lack of preparation, afraid of left behind in understanding the material or what the teacher talks about, afraid of making mistakes, afraid of being laughed by his/her friends, unconfident to spell, pronounce and select the words in English. It was also found that there were eight students in level Relaxed, twelve students in level Mildly Anxious, and ten students in level Anxious. Last, the strategies that students should do to reduce their anxiety are do more preparation before speaking, try to be more confident in saying English words, and pronunciation practice. Keywords:   Speaking, Speaking anxiety, EFL Classroom. [a1]It was revealed that

This research aims to determine the extent of the influence of family environment, peers, and learning achievement on the interest in continuing education to higher education in the XI class of accounting skills competencies in Padang City Vocational School simultaneously and partially. There are two Vocational Schools namely Padang State Vocational High School 2 and Padang State Vocational High School 3. This means that the population in this study was all students of class XI Accounting of Vocational Schools 2 Padang, amounting to 121 people and Vocational Schools 3 Padang totaling 83 people. From a total of 204 populations, the sampling method used was proportional random sampling technique with a total sample of 127 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. For data analysis methods used are descriptive and associative analysis and hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that there were influences on the family environment, peers, and learning achievement towards the interest in continuing to higher education simultaneously at 24.8%. Partially the family environment influences the interest in continuing to higher education. Whereas peers do not influence the interest in continuing their education to college. Likewise, for learning achievement does not affect the interest in continuing to higher education.Keyword: family environment, peers, learning achievement

The aims of this study is to find out and analyzed about students’ influences of Computer-assisted assessment (CAA) It is the case study and field research of one school in Nusa Dua Badung-Bali. The data sources chosen in this study were several high schools that carried out online examinations at Nusa Dua Vocational high school Bali-Indonesia. Data collection is done by random sampling from data sources, observation, interviews, recording, and note taking. Distribution of questionnaires was also carried out to strengthen data analysis. Data is analyzed based on the formulation of the problem and the study of theory that has been, then analyzed in qualitative description. The descriptive study used paper-based surveys and interviews for data collection. To obtain information about the students’ influences of Computer-assisted assessment (CAA). Based on our review and study result, there are some influences that found. The Computer-assisted assessment (CAA) systematics is held with the aim that students become more critical and independent in solving the questions given.

The purpose of this study is to know, to describe, and to analyze the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in the vocational high school (SMK) majoring in hotel accommodation program skill. The research method used in this research is the qualitative method. This method is intended to know deeply in the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in SMK. This research started with the observation of edupreneurship activity through teaching factory at SMK N 6 Yogyakarta. The data was collected by conducting in-depth interviews with informants who are directly involved in edupreneurship activities. The result of this research is the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in terms of learning, there is commitment and basic principle which run by the school but not yet optimal. There are still significant obstacles, especially related to the work culture that is applied not in accordance with the procedures of business and industry (DUDI), educators who have not understood the culture of DUDI, facilities, and infrastructure that do not meet the DUDI standards, the cooperation between SMK and DUDI is still weak, and the regulation of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) which requires the use of state-owned goods as a form of state income.

High school in Indonesia has two types, specifically senior high schools and vocational schools (SMK). Vocational high schools in Indonesia have a lot of education focus which aims to provide education to their students so they can work immediately. One of the vocational schools in Indonesia is the Tangerang 4 Vocational High School which focuses on education in engineering. One of the engineering scopes at SMK Negeri 4 Tangerang is "Drawing Technique for Building" (Teknik Gambar Bangunan). "Drawing Technique for Building" is a vocational class that specializes in learning how to draw techniques for houses and buildings. As vocational students of "Building Drawing Technique", each student must learn how to draw techniques according to ISO standards complete with various etiquettes in manually, after proficient in drawing manually, students must learn AutoCAD, an software for drawing because this becomes the main competency as students "Building Drawing Techniques". To increase the capacity and capabilities of its students at SMK 4 Tangerang, the Budi Luhur University Architecture Study Program introduces one of the software related to building drawing The software introduced in Revit Architecture version 2013. Revit Architecture 2013 is a software that aims to create building construction designs for architects and supports the concept of BIM (Building Information Modeling). The output of this socialization is that students of SMK Negeri 4 Tangerang understanding about software for drawing techniques other than AutoCAD and various conveniences when drawing with Revit Architecture 2013 software

ABSTRACT: Vocational School is one of the educational unit level institutions, whose role is to create qualified and competent human resources in their fields for the needs of the business and industry. Unfortunately, the needs of the business and industry for a competent workforce still cannot be met, because the quality of the existing Vocational Schools is still lacking. The purpose of this study is to analyze the optimization of the absorption of vocational graduates needed by the business and industry world in an effort to achieve a balance of the labour market in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. This study was using a qualitative approach with secondary and primary data analysis methods. This research was conducted in East Java Province in 2018, by holding discussions with Vocational Schools, Companies, and the East Java Provincial Education Office. The results of this study are required for the integration process of the three educational institutions (vocational, courses, and training), which organize vocational education into three things, namely: sharing resources; integrating the learning process; and equalizing minimum service standards.KEY WORD: Vocational; Labour; Industrial Revolution 4.0. ABSTRAKSI: “Mengoptimalkan Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja Lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan untuk Mempersiapkan Era Revolusi Industri 4.0”. Sekolah Kejuruan adalah salah satu lembaga tingkat unit pendidikan yang berperan untuk menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas dan kompeten di bidangnya untuk kebutuhan bisnis dan industri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis optimalisasi penyerapan lulusan kejuruan yang dibutuhkan oleh dunia usaha dan industri dalam upaya untuk mencapai keseimbangan pasar tenaga kerja di era revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis data sekunder dan primer. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Provinsi Jawa Timur pada tahun 2018, dengan mengadakan diskusi dengan Sekolah Kejuruan, Perusahaan, dan Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Timur. Religious character of students in state vocational high school 1 Dukuhturi Tegal was build of Sholat Dhuha habituation. As a social control, the teachers give a pin “not allow me” to lazzy students in Sholat Dhuha habituation and also give reward mukenah for diligent students. This qualitative research using case study aimed to find out the effectiveness of social control religious character’s student in state vocational high school 1 Dukuhturi Tegal. Data validation was carried out using data source triangulation. Technique of analyzing data used integrated data resulting from the observation of Sholat Dhuha habituation, interview, and documentation from many sources to support information. The theory employed was Talcot Parsons’s Theory with AGIL Concept. The results of research showed that the students doing Sholat Dhuha is not only they afraid of the punishment but they also have a spiritual needs. Religious character habituation doing by obedient attitude in Islam, dicipline, tolerant, and honestly in aqidah subject. This habituation need supports all of school element so that the students have a good religious character.Karakter religius peserta didik SMK N 1 Dukuhturi dibina dengan membiasakan Sholat Dhuha. Sebagai kontrol sosial, Guru menerapkan hukuman berupa penempelan pin bertuliskan “jangan tiru aku” bagi yang tidak rajin melaksanakan dan pemberian penghargaan berupa mukenah bagi yang rajin melaksanakan. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kontrol sosial dalam pembinaan karakter religius peserta didik muslim SMK N 1 Dukuhturi. Validitas data diperoleh dengan cara triangulasi sumber data. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan data hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap kepala sekolah, guru, dan peserta didik kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teori Fungsionalisme Struktural Talcott Parsons. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik melaksanakan Sholat Dhuha tidak hanya karena ada hukuman dan penghargaan tapi muncul rasa kebutuhan spiritual. Pembinaan karakter religius yang dilakukan adalah sikap dan perilaku patuh dalam melaksanakan ajaran agama Islam, disiplin, toleran, dan jujur melalui pembelajaran akidah. Pembiasaan Sholat Dhuha baru dilaksanakan dengan maksimal oleh beberapa wali kelas; Butuh dukungan dari seluruh warga sekolah agar bisa menjadi sebuah pembinaan karakter religius yang kuat. Dampaknya masih banyak peserta didik di kelas lain yang belum memiliki rasa kebutuhan spiritual.Keywords: Social Control, Religius Character, Muslims Students, State Vocational High School

Indonesian demographic premium with profile of productive age dominated by general high school graduates negatively affects national productivity levels. As an institution that produces skilled labour, vocational schools should be an institution that is expected to be a solution to increase labour productivity. As a government strategy to overcome these problems, the Presidential Instruction No. 09 of 2016 to revitalise the vocational school aimed at improving the competence of Vocational High School graduates. The study uses a mixed method with document analysis, interviews and also questionnaires, the results of this study explain that the Vocational High School in Indonesian does not meet the standard of the industry. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that this study is in line with the expected results.
