Although green innovation strategy (GIS) is the driving force for the sustainable development of enterprises, while the strategy is implemented, an increased cost and a change in organizational routines will cause an organization to become fragile, and even affect the sustainable competitive advantages. So, the purpose of this paper is to explore the impact path of GIS on sustainable competitive advantages and the implementation boundary of GIS. To explain the impact path, we consider the concept of dynamic capabilities to be the mediator variable. To explain the implementation boundary of GIS, we systematically explore the relationships among GIS, dynamic capabilities and sustainable competitive advantages under different levels of environmental uncertainty. Based on 241 new Chinese green firms, the empirical results find that GIS helps enterprises to gain sustainable competitive advantages. However, in the process of strategy implementation, enterprises should choose appropriate methods according to different degrees of environmental uncertainty. In a low environmental uncertainty, dynamic capabilities play a full intermediary role between GIS and sustainable competitive advantages. However, in a high environmental uncertainty, dynamic capabilities have no mediating effect between GIS and sustainable competitive advantages. This study not only integrates green management theory and strategic management theory but also makes up for the deficiencies in research on these theories and has important reference value for enterprises that seek to carry out green innovation activities.

Technology has been continuously improving, causing high business pressures that affect organizations' current and future competitiveness. Gaining competitive advantage is critical for organizations. Among the various resources which organizations deploy to succeed, information is identified as a crucial resource. The success of organizations depends on the decisions made and the excellence of decisions depends upon the quality and reliability of information. If this be so, then information strategies need to be designed and implemented in a comprehensive manner so that the organizations derive competitive advantage. Based on an in-depth literature review and contextual analysis, this paper will review competitive forces and competitive information systems strategies for gaining competitive advantages, explain concepts of value chain, business ecosystems and discuss innovation strategy.

Little literature and research exists on the impact of Green Managerial Practices (GMP’S) on competitive advantages (CA). This study fills this research gap and is conducted on a sample of 450 workers in 10 fertilizer companies in Egypt. The study identifies the moderating role of environmental innovation strategy (EIS) in reinforcing the impact of green managerial practices on competitive advantages. The empirical results show that three types of green managerial practices – green planning, green managerial concerns, and green entrepreneurship – have positive effects on competitive advantages, which increases in the presence of environmental innovation strategy. Companies that invest resources and efforts in green managerial practices can meet the strict environmental regulations in Egypt and popular environmental consciousness of consumers, as well as obtain corporate competitive advantages. Managerial implications and areas for further research are also discussed.

The recent development of synthetic biology and system genomic open a new promising dimension for bioprocesses optimization. This induces an increasing complexity of applications in the biotechnology industry. Moreover, profitable bioprocesses design requires close collaboration between specialists as biologist, geneticist, or process engineer. As a consequence, the theoretic complexity of bioprocesses development steps is hardly increased. The implementations of efficient collaboration structures allowing to take profit from external opportunities are at the basis of strong competitive advantages for technological companies. Additionally, the uncertainty of technological innovations in live science is the second constraint to solve for allowing novelty emergence in biotechnology. This paper develops an organization and strategic framework which encompasses both industry and universities or public research centers. It highlights several keys aspects to cope efficiently with complexity and uncertainty. More precisely, this article suggests the interest to implement an efficient technological innovation framework considering three main dimensions: an appropriate human recourses management, a rational technological innovation strategy and an efficient collaborative network.

The report examines theoretical assumptions regarding the nature and importance of innovation. Regardless of the diversity we see in terms of defining different types of innovation, we can come to the conclusion that all definitions have one common feature and it relates to focusing on the presence of something new and different. Innovation planning processes are discussed by indicating that they are aimed at defining specific actions so that the objectives set out in the company's innovation strategy can be achieved. The most important functions of planning are to coordinate the efforts of the participants in the innovation process and to link business objectives and opportunities for future development. Emphasis is placed on the importance of innovation for each organization and the necessary investment of efforts for appropriate innovation planning that provides competitive advantages.
