One of the most important tasks solved in physical education classes is preparing for life. An indispensable means of teaching vital motor skills and abilities are applied exercises that are taken from life and prepare for life. Such vital movements as climbing, climbing, running, jumping, overcoming obstacles, throwing, swimming and many other exercises also contribute to the development of the motor abilities of those involved. The aim of the research was to experimentally study the effect of cross-country classes on the physical fitness of high school students. Based on the conducted research it can be formulated that the use of cross-country training in the process of physical education of high school students contributes to the development of coordination, speed-strength abilities, as well as endurance.

Summary The objective of the study was to determine and compare the attitudes of high school students of the non-inclusive school towards inclusive physical education according to gender. This study deepened the knowledge about the students’ attitudes toward the inclusion of students with physical and intellectual disabilities. The research sample comprised a total of 181 able-bodied high school students (56 boys and 125 girls) attending one non-inclusive high school in Bratislava, Slovakia. Modified Czech version of the CAIPE (Children’s Attitude toward Inclusive Physical Education) questionnaire was used as a primary research method. Girls presented higher levels of positive attitudes towards inclusive physical education (IPE) in goal achievement, motivation, and motor skills learning. Boys showed a higher level of positive attitudes in the self-confidence of students with disabilities through IPE. In the goal achievement, girls expressed a significantly higher positive attitude towards IPE in students with intellectual disabilities inclusion (U = 2817, p = 0.029, r = 0.168). The highest level of a positive attitude toward IPE declared both genders by society inclusion and the lowest level of positive attitude by motor skills acquisition. Slovak students of a non-inclusive high school showed a positive attitude toward IPE for the inclusion of pupils with physical as well as intellectual disabilities.

Research design uses quasi experimental design with metode non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Research data was obtained as follows: data processing result on experiment group show that physical activity to VO2max got significant score based calculating using SPSS of 0,00 and physical activity to nutrional status got sig. of 0,60. Whereas in the control group, physical actifity got sig. of 0.20 to VO2max and sig. to 0.11 on nutrional status. Based on the above analysis it can be concluded that physical activity has a significant effect on physical fitness but physical activity has no significant effect on nutrional status to Surabaya vocational high school students.

Educators are challenged to create conditions under which instruction has a reasonable probability of improving students’ knowledge and behavior. In high school physical education courses this problem is accentuated when adolescents are not highly receptive to traditional methods of instruction. The answer may lie in curriculum design wherein courses are better packaged to maintain student interest and involvement. The Albuquerque Public School System explored this concept during two consecutive summer terms. An innovative physical education course incorporating unique field experiences, high levels of participation, and reinforcement of individual responsibility was designed and implemented in a pilot project. When compared to traditional physical education classes, mixed results were obtained for various physical fitness measures and knowledge scores. The implications for designing physical education courses are discussed.

In recent years, under the reform of new curriculum education and teaching in China, students’ learning pressure in cultural courses is getting bigger and bigger, especially in senior high schools. Due to the increasing learning pressure of cultural courses, students’ physical fitness is neglected in education, which makes students’ physical fitness decline, thus directly affecting the learning state of senior high school students. Therefore, in the education of senior high school students, attention should be paid to physical education methods, students’ lifelong sports awareness should be cultivated, and the quality of physical education methods should be enhanced so that students’ physical fitness can be improved and their full physical and mental state can be put into study.
