Abstract MAGIVAL MG3 is a ferritic free machining stainless steel grade with similar magnetic properties to MG1 (Alloy Digest SS-1159, October 2013); it has better pitting corrosion resistance due to its molybdenum content, allowing applications in mild chloride corrosive environments. Magival is a group of easily workable ferritic stainless steels with a high degree of machinability developed for magnetic applications where high permeability and low coercive force are required. Abstract OUTOKUMPU MODA 430/4016 is a 16% chromium ferritic stainless steel that combines good mechanical properties with good corrosion resistance and heat and oxidation resistance up to 815 °C (1500 °F).
