Abstract : Nowadays, regeneration crisis of manpower for farming has become an alert for many countries, both poor and developing countries. In Indonesia, this crisis is seen in the decreasing number of agriculture labour, especially for the youth age. Cikarawang is one of many villages which experienced crises of youth employments in farming sector. This research was aimed to explore possible aspects for the youth to allow them remain working in farming sector. Bonding and pushing factors for the youth to remain working in farming sector are the main aspects that were focused in this research. This research used the concept of “gerontocracy and land access for the youth” by Ben White. This research was conducted using mixed method, by integrating quantitative and qualitative approaches. Qualitative approach was performed by observation and an in-depth interview. Quantitative approach was conducted by implementing survey of 40 youths in Cikarawang Village as respondents, with the age of 16 – 35 as the samples. Qualitative data were analysed using Nvivo, while quantitative data were analysed using cross tabulation technique. The results show that land possession, farming skill and marital status were the main factors for the youth to remain working in farming sector. Whilst, factors that eliminates the youth to leave agricultural sector were education and the capabilities of non-farming skills. Dalam konteks Indonesia, krisis regenerasi tenaga pertanian di desa secara nyata terlihat dari penurunan jumlah tenaga kerja di sektor pertanian yang terjadi pada kelompok umur pemuda. Cikarawang merupakan salah satu desa yang mengalami krisis tenaga muda di sektor pertanian. Penelitian ini diarahkan untuk menggali aspek yang memungkinkan pemuda untuk tetap tinggal dan terjun di sektor pertanian. Aspek-aspek ini secara khusus difokuskan pada faktor pengikat dan pendorong bagi pemuda untuk bertahan di sektor pertanian. Perspektif teori yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah konsep gerontokrasi dan akses lahan untuk pemuda dari Ben White. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode campuran yaitu dengan mengintegrasikan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pendekatan kualitatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi dan metode wawancara mendalam terhadap informan. Sementara itu, pendekatan kuantitatif dilakukan melalui survei dengan mengambil 40 responden berusia 16-35 tahun sebagai sampel dari seluruh pemuda di Desa Cikarawang. Teknik analisa data dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan Nvivo dan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan tabulasi silang. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa kepemilikan lahan, keahlian bertani, dan status perkawinan adalah faktor yang mengikat pemuda untuk bertahan di sektor pertanian. Sementara itu faktor yang mendorong pemuda untuk keluar dari sektor pertanian adalah pendidikan dan keahlian non pertanian. The focus of the research is the application of the Peer Monitoring Book (PMB) method as a solution to overcome the students procrastination behaviour during Covid-19 pandemic. The research was carried out in Daarunnajah Boarding School of MAN 1 Magelang, Central Java. The approach used is a mixed mrthod that combines quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data collection technique used are questionaires, and for qualitative data use interviews and observations.The results showed that the application of the Peer Monitoring Book (PMB) method was effective and helped overcome the procrastination behavior of students at Daarunnajaah Girls Dormitory MAN 1 Magelang during the Covid-19 pandemic. Evidenced by the increased discipline of students in collecting school assignments.Fokus penelitian adalah penerapan metode Peer Monitoring Book (PMB) sebagai solusi mengatasi perilaku prokrastinasi siswa di masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Asrama Putri Daarunnajaah MAN 1 Magelang Jawa Tengah. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah campuran (mixed method) yang menggabungkan antara pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data secara kuantitatif yang digunakan adalah angket atau kuesioner, sedangkan untuk kualitatif menggunakan wawancara dan observasi.Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Peer Monitoring Book (PMB) efektif dan membantu mengatasi perilaku prokrastinasi siswa di Asrama Putri Daarunnajaah MAN 1 Magelang selama pandemi Covid-19. Dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya kedisiplinan siswa dalam mengumpulkan tugas-tugas sekolah.

Teachers’ creativity is an important aspect that has an influential effect on students’ competence, however research on this particular topic is hardly found. This study aimed at investigating teachers’ creativity from two perspectives: From how they perceived and what they implemented in the classroom, and then to describe the discrepancy between the two Embedded mixed method was used as the design of this study which means the qualitative data was dominant than quantitative data QUAL (quan). Two EFL teachers of SMKN 1 Negara were chosen as the subject. Self-rated questionnaire, classroom observation sheet, and in-depth interview were used as the instruments. The discrepancy of two data were occurred. The investigation proves that the teachers rarely teach based on the lesson plan, teach inductively, conduct innovative learning by using technology as learning media. The teachers mainly focused on using same media in several meetings, conduct monotonous teaching activity.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis android untuk memudahkan pemahaman konsep trigonometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang didukung data kuantitatif. Model Pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu ADDIE. Karya inovasi ini dibuat dengan macromediaflash 8. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 8 siswa pada ujicoba kelompok kecil dan 30 siswa pada ujicoba kelompok besar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data kualitatif dengan menggunakan model Miles Huberman.Hasilpengembangan diperoleh sebuah media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa untuk mempermudah mengingat rumus trigonometri. The purpose of this research is to develop interactive android based learning media to facilitate understanding of trigonometric concepts. This research is a development research with qualitative approach supported by quantitative data. Development model used is ADDIE. The innovation work was made with Macromedia Flash 8. The subjects in this study consisted of 8 students on a small group trial and 30 students on a large group trial. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and interviews. Qualitative data analysis technique using Miles Huberman model. The results of the development obtained a learning media that can help students to simplify remembering the trigonometric formula.  This research was conducted to investigate the perceptions of persons with disabilities and stakeholders regarding the promotion and development of Friendly and Inclusive Communities in Bantul Regency, DIY and Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. The study was designed using transformative mixed-method, with the framework of KIPA (Knowledge, Inclusion, Participation, and Access) as a theoretical framework core. The first step was carried out by an empirical survey through distributing questionnaires to 48 respondents in Bantul Regency and 52 respondents in Kendari City. The results of data analysis from questionnaire contents were processed through descriptive statistics to describe respondents' perceptions quantitatively. Quantitative results are used as a reference in qualitative data collection, namely through in-depth interviews with selected respondents. The results of the study show that both persons with disabilities and stakeholders have a positive perception of the promotion and development of a friendly and inclusive community in their area. Although knowledge about disability, inclusion and the issues that surround it is still limited, but both persons with disabilities and stakeholders claim the need for a Friendly and Inclusive Community to be realized. Repondents of persons with disabilities also added that participation and access to development by and for persons with disabilities needs to be improved both in terms of quantity and quality.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menginvestigasi persepsi penyandang disabilitas dan stakeholders mengenai promosi dan pengembangan Komunitas Ramah dan Inklusif di Kabupaten Bantul, DIY dan Kota Kendari, Sulawesi Tenggara. Penelitian didesain menggunakan transformative mixed-method, dengan kerangka KIPA (Knowledge, Inclusion, Participation, and Access) sebagai core theoretical framework. Langkah pertama dilakukan dengan survey empiris melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 48 responden di Kabupaten Bantul dan 52 responden di Kota Kendari. Hasil analisis data dari isian kuesioner diolah melalui statistik deskriptif untuk menggambarkan persepsi responden secara kuantitatif. Hasil kuantitatif dijadikan sebagai rujukan dalam pengambilan data secara kualitatif, yaitu melalui in-depth interview kepada responden terpilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan baik penyandang disabilitas maupun stakeholders memiliki persepsi yang positif terhadap promosi dan pengembangan Komunitas Ramah dan Inklusif di daerah mereka. Meskipun pengetahuan mengenai disabilitas, inklusi dan isu-isu yang melingkupinya masih terbatas, namun baik penyandang disabiltias dan stakeholders mengaku perlunya Komunitas Ramah dan Inklusif untuk diwujudkan. Reponden penyandang disabilitas juga menambahkan bahwa partisipasi dan akses pembangunan oleh dan untuk penyandang disabilitas perlu ditingkatkan baik dari segi kuantitas maupun kualitas.

Sexual behavior is any behavior that is driven by sexual desire, whether done alone, with the opposite sex or of the same sex, from feeling attracted, dating, flirting, and having sex. Dating status and sexual behavior are closely related. The increasing age of dating adolescents has an impact on increasing opportunities for sexual behavior. This study aimed to analyze the effect of dating status on sexual behavior in Grade XI at SMA XYZ Medan in 2020.This research was mixed method. The population was 413 adolescents, the sample used accidental sampling technique. For quantitative, there are 80 teenagers, including 39 boys and 41 girls. And 6 qualitative informants including teenagers who are dating, peers and teachers. Quantitative data were analyzed by using statistical tests with univariate, bivariate and triangulation. The results showed that the cross-tabulation value of the effect of dating status on sexual behavior in adolescents was p (0.000) <α (.05). There was an effect of dating status on sexual behavior in adolescents. Based on the qualitative results, the key informants stated that they were dating and had committed various sexual behaviors with their boyfriends, while the supporting informants, namely peers, stated that they were close friends with the key informants, knew the dating status and had seen sexual behavior carried out by the key informants.The conclusion that sexual behavior in adolescents at SMA XYZ was found. It is hoped that adolescents will maintain a friendly environment in social interactions and be more active in positive activities, so that unbeneficial activities such as those related to dating and sexual behavior can be avoided.

This research aims to First, the application of the Sakamoto method to improve students' ability to solve story problems. Second, the results of applying the Sakamoto method to improve students' ability to solve story problems in mathematics. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) research with 2 (two) cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class III SDN Dukuh Sari I. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Qualitative data consisting of observations, interviews and documentation are analyzed descriptively qualitatively, while data in the form of numbers or quantitative data are sufficiently analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of data analysis after the application of the learning method with the Sakamoto method show that the application of this method can improve students 'ability to solve mathematical problems in the form of material questions, summation operations and reduction of counting numbers on mathematical subjects. The results show that there is evidence of an increase in students' ability to solve problems mathematics in the form of story problems. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk; Pertama, penerapan metode sakamoto untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita. Kedua, hasil dari penerapan metode sakamoto untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita dalam mata pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan 2 (dua) siklus. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SDN Dukuh Sari I. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes. Data yang bersifat kualitatif yang terdiri dari hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif, sedangkan data yang berupa angka atau data kuantitatif cukup dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data setelah penerapan metode pembelajaran dengan metode sakamoto menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika yang berbentuk soal cerita materi operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan cacah pada mata pelajaran metematika. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terbukti adanya peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika yang berbentuk soal cerita.

This research is aimed to analyze the influence of ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) on the financial performance of SMEs in Sidoarjo. The financial performance of SMEs in this study was measured by the level of sales comparation between the period before and after ACFTA. This research applied mix method technique with squids mixed method strategy, especially sequential explanatory strategy. It is a strategy for the researchers to combine the data that was found from one method with the other method. The steps were begun with the researcher collecting the quantitative data by performing different test or Paired samples T-test then continued with collecting the qualitative data by doing library research. The results show that  there are significant differences in financial performance; first, it is seen from the sales between before and after ACFTA, and second,  it is proven that  that the existence of ACFTA significantly affects the sales rate of SMEs.

Background: In investigating the early reading literacy of a group of Setswana-speaking children who learnt to read in Afrikaans, cultural historical activity theory (CHAT) was chosen as a conceptual framework because of its proven utility value in helping researchers make sense of complex social systems.Aim: The application of this heuristic not only proved valuable as organising principle but also unexpectedly revealed the situation with a clarity that brought about a richer understanding of the intricate dynamics underlying reading literacy in a second language.Setting: The study was conducted at a small-town Afrikaans medium school.Methods: In this mixed method inquiry, qualitative data was collected through interviews with parents and educators, classroom observations and document analysis. The quantitative data was obtained through the administering of an early reading literacy assessment.Results: The overarching finding of this study was that the Setswana-speaking children developed early reading literacy skills at a rate and level commensurate with that of their Afrikaans-speaking peers. Where the application of CHAT as heuristic proved invaluable was in bringing to light a pattern revealing the agency which was exercised by parents and educators to support the children’s reading literacy learning.Conclusion: Despite various obstacles and tensions, parents and teachers exercise considerable agency in supporting the children’s early reading literacy. Although the empirical aspects of the study are described, it is a conceptual gaze of the situation, employing CHAT as a lens, which is the focus of this article.

The title of the research is integrating the teaching of culture based reading and essay writing to build students cultural awareness. Two main aims were conveyed in the research. First, it was aimed at supporting students to write an essay based on what they had read (to give them background knowledge and to build their reading habit) and the second was building students cultural awareness and helping them realize that their nation actually has fabulous local wisdoms. By realizing that the nation has deeply meaningful local wisdoms, they will love and protect the nation with their body and soul. The researchers integrated this teaching of local wisdoms by asking the students to firstly read a cultural based text and discussed what they understand about the text with their friends. The text contained a description about different cultures in several countries. The titles of the texts were for example: Maintaining Eye Contact in Some Cultures, Innocent Gestures that Mean Rude Abroad, The Ethics of Gift Giving all over the World, etc. After being read, the text was then discussed in the classroom. The students gave their opinion as well as their experience related to the topic. The last activity was writing an essay with the same topic yet the culture being discussed in the writing had to be about the students own culture. The method that was employed in the research was mixed method. The qualitative data was gained from classroom observation and the portfolio of students writings while the quantitative data was gained from questionnaires distributed to the students. The results were first the students found out how to write an essay and second, they realized that their culture has high values to be appreciated. Thus the love to the nation was well established.Key Words: Reading-Writing Integration, Cultural Awareness, Essay Writing.

This study aims to reveal a number of determinants of financial not independent be the cause of the elderly in disadvantaged areas. The study was designed in the format of mixed method, wherein in the first stage of qualitative data collection to identify a number of determinants of the causes of the financial not independent elderly. All variables are declared invalid later developed into quantitative data collection instrument at a later stage. The results of different Kruskal-Wallis test was applied to see the differences between the determinants of independent elderly and elderly are not independent. Then performed logistic regression analysis to see the effect of each determinant to provide empirical evidence on the probability not independent elderly.
