Telehealth offered a great opportunity for the clinicians at West Tennessee Healthcare to provide an essential service to the community at large during these unprecedented times. Our telehealth footprint continues to enlarge daily with more clinicians and specialties becoming comfortable with the workflows and technology. The program is described herein. The COVID-19 pandemic tests the ability of many primary care, urgent care, and hospital systems to adapt quickly to new circumstances. In many of these offices, virtual telehealth visits have become a strategy to decrease the use of personal protective equipment, and mitigate the risk of exposure of providers, staff, or patients to the coronavirus, among many other opportunities.1 West Tennessee Healthcare noted these same strong headwinds, as the pandemic and emergency decelerations began to send individuals to continue to reschedule appointments for a multitude of reasons—including fear. West Tennessee Healthcare is located in an underserved area with a lack of access to healthcare in all of our servicing districts. Each of these districts holds a classification of a partial or full healthcare professional shortage area. In our over 40 primary and specialty care clinics, face-to-face visits began to shudder near the end of March with the Tennessee governor’s first social distancing and business step-down regulations. With the foresight of other health systems being impacted by COVID-19, our medical practices were forced into a dilemma to creatively continue to offer quality care, but from a new environment. Prior to this federal and state emergency, our clinics were in the planning stages of creating a telehealth environment but had not completed any medical telehealth visits.

Abstract INTRODUCTION Controversy exists as to whether telephone clinics are appropriate in neurosurgical-oncology. The COVID-19 pandemic forced neuro-oncology services worldwide to re-design and at the University Hospitals Birmingham UK, telephone clinics were quickly implemented in select patients to limit numbers of patients attending hospital. It was important to determine how these changes were perceived by patients. METHODS A 20-question patient satisfaction questionnaire was distributed to patients who attended neuro-oncology clinic in person (“face-to-face”), or via the telephone. Fisher’s exact test was used to determine significance, which was set at p< 0.05. RESULTS Eighty questionnaires were distributed between June 2020 and August 2020. Overall, 50% (n=40) of patients returned the questionnaire, 50% (n=23) of face-to-face and 50% (n=17) telephone patients. Of those who received telephone consultations, 88% (n=15) felt the consultation was convenient, 88% (n=15) were satisfied with their consultation and 18% (n=3) felt they would have preferred to have a face-to-face appointment. Of those who attended clinic in person, 96% (n=22) felt their consultation was convenient, 100% (n=23) were satisfied with their consultation and 13% (n=3) would have preferred a telephone consultation. Within the face-to-face clinic attendees, only 13% (n=3) were concerned regarding the COVID risk associated with attending hospital. There was no significant difference in patient convenience or satisfaction (p=0.565 and p=0.174 respectively) between face-to-face and telephone clinics. There was no significant difference in whether patients would’ve preferred the alternative method of consultation (p > 0.999). CONCLUSION Our study suggests that careful patient selection for neuro-oncology telephone clinic is not inferior to face-to-face clinic. Telephone clinic during COVID-19 pandemic proved to be convenient, safe and effective. This global health crisis has transformed telephone neuro-oncology consultations from an experimental innovation into established practice and should be continued beyond the pandemic in select cases.

Information systems built in the form of social media and the internet make us able to carry out various activities without having to meet face to face. Social media is currently the main attraction for people to communicate and find information quickly. This is a great opportunity for companies to reach and expand their market. With an information system built in the form of social media and the internet, all obstacles, both distance and high costs, can be suppressed and communication can be carried out effectively. So far, PT. Red Eye Utama conducts marketing through radio advertisements, newspapers / billboards, this is what causes problems, due to limited space and time, as well as high costs to carry out all these processes. The negotiation process between the company and the customer is one of the obstacles that affects the company's service to customers. Therefore, one solution to the problems in this system is to build a Social Media Advertise Maintenance Information System. By using PIECES method analysis for improvements based on performance indicators, indicator information, economic indicators, control indicators, efficiency indicators and service indicators. To design the new system, object-oriented modeling is used, namely UML (Unified Modeling Language) which is the right tool to use in describing the system design that will be made according to User needs.

ABSTRACT The COVID 19 pandemic has demanded that people adapt to a new normal life, including theeducation sector. This condition is a challenge for schools and the community. To avoid thewidespread spread of the Covid-19 virus, schools must temporarily stop face-to-face learningactivities. The blended learning method is a solution to these conditions. Blended learningactivities are not only seen as a combination of online and face-to-face learning. However,this learning activity has a great opportunity to integrate innovation in educationaltechnology and can be done online or face-to-face. Besides, blended learning is a solution toanswering challenges in assembling learning and developing students' creativity. Even in thelong term, blended learning is an important requirement for every school to face a brighterfuture. The implementation method in this program consists of the planning, implementation,and evaluation stages. The partners involved in this program are a team of IT experts at theLocal Government of Kediri. Also, the partners involved are also active as speakers ofeducational technology. Selain itu, blended learning juga sebagai solusi dalam menjawabtantangan dalam merangkai pembelajaran serta pengembangan kreativitas peserta didik,bahkan dalam jangka panjang pembelajaran berbasis blended learning menjadi kebutuhanpenting bagi setiap sekolah guna menyongsong masa depan yang lebih cerah. Metodepelaksanaan dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi.Mitra yang dilibatkan dalam pengabdian ini adalah tim tenaga ahli IT di Pemerintah Kota Kediri. Selain itu mitra yang terlibat juga aktif sebagai pembicara di bidang teknologipendidikan. Sedangkan sasaran dari pengabdian ini adalah guru dan Dinas Pendidikan. At the end of 2019, the whole world and Indonesia were shocked by the emergence of the new coronavirus disease 2019. It has been more than a year since this disaster struck. The number of victims around the world has reached more than one hundred million with the death toll of more than two million people. Various efforts have been made to prevent the spread of this virus, one of which is social restrictions so that it has an impact in various areas of human life. One of the impacts is the missionary service which usually carries out social and face-to-face interactions. By using qualitative research methods with a literature review approach, observation, and interviews and then describing, this study will provide answers and solutions for mission service strategies during the Covid19 pandemic. The results of this study found answers to mission services online or online. By utilizing internet networks and social media, the gospel can still be preached despite social restrictions. Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Tiktok are some social media applications that can be used for mission services during the Covid-19 pandemic, through these applications this news can be presented in the form of writing, audio, and video which are shared via social media. This strategy, with its strengths and weaknesses, provides a great opportunity to continue working on the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In this follow-up panel, we discuss what we have learned over the last year about responding to an epidemic or pandemic that has demonstrated a level of transmission unprecedented in the modern era. Two medical doctors that have worked on the front of this pandemic share their experiences transitioning from the “sharp end” of the response. Decisions about how to mitigate hazards have occurred at the personal, institutional, and health policy levels, in real-time, with frequent adaptation, and often in advance of concrete evidence. Over the course of the pandemic, hospital systems revised existing protocols to manage perceived risks in real time using emerging information from other centers. With the introduction of vaccines, there is a new type of risk perception. Is the vaccine perceived to be safe? Is there a disparity in perception among different population groups? That said, analyses are also complicated by emerging viral mutations with unclear implications. What factors increase or decrease public compliance with precautions? How are US education policymakers deciding about face-to-face classroom instruction? This panel includes a warnings expert, an expert on education policy, and two practicing physicians.

The majority of children and adolescents in need of mental health services do not receive adequate care. Barriers to quality care include limited financial resources, social stigma, and a paucity of appropriately trained clinicians. The deleterious effects of untreated childhood mental illness have been well documented. School-based child and adolescent psychiatrists are on the front line of managing this public health crisis. Approximately 75% of mental health services for children and adolescents are provided in educational settings. The success of school-based mental health programs is contingent upon effective collaboration between the practitioner, caregiver, child/adolescent, and educator. In this chapter, a case is used to illustrate salient features of school-based psychiatric practice, including assessment tools, interventions, educational advocacy, and logistical considerations. The practice of public psychiatry in school-based settings should optimally adhere to the principles of recovery, resilience, and cultural competence.

AbstractBackground and objectiveSpirometry, which is the most commonly used technique for asthma diagnosis, is often unsuitable for small children as it requires them to follow exact instructions and perform extreme inspiration and expiration maneuvers. In contrast, impulse oscillometry (IOS) is a child-friendly technique that could serve as an alternative pulmonary function test (PFT) for asthma diagnosis and control in children as it offers several advantages over spirometry. However, the complex test results of IOS may be difficult to be understood by practitioners due to its reliance on mechanical and electrical models of the human pulmonary system. Recognizing this reality, computer-aided decision systems could help to improve the utility of IOS. The main objective of this paper is to understand the current computer-aided classification research works on this topic.MethodsThis paper presents a methodological review of research works related to the computer-aided classification of peripheral airway obstruction using the IOS technique, which is focused on, but not limited to, asthmatic children. Publications that focused on computer-aided classification of asthma, peripheral dysfunction and/or small airway impairment (SAI) based on impulse oscillometric features were selected for this review.ResultsOut of the 34 articles that were identified using the selected scientific web databases and topic-related parameters, only eight met the eligibility criteria. The most relevant results of the articles reviewed are related to the performance of the different classifiers using static features which are solely based on the first pulmonary function testing measurements (IOS and spirometry). These results included an overall classifiers’ accuracy performance ranging from 42.24% to 98.61%.ConclusionThere is still a great opportunity to improve the utility of IOS by developing more computer-aided robust classifiers, specifically for the asthmatic children population as the classification studies performed to date (1) are limited in number, (2) include features derived from tests that are not optimally suitable for children, (3) are solely bi-class (mostly asthma and non-asthma) and therefore fail to include different degrees of peripheral obstruction for disease prevention and control and (4) lack of validation in cases that focus on multi-class classification of the different degrees of peripheral airway obstruction.

Background: Migraine as one of the most common types of headache is known to cause serious intervention with routine activities of affected individuals due to the devastating nature of attacks. The aim of this study was to provide epidemiological data of migraine in Iranian general population. Methods: In this cross-sectional general population study, migraine diagnoses (both episodic and chronic) were based on the International Classification of Headache Disorders. Face-to-face interviews were performed by 5 trained medical interns on a sample size of 2,300 people aged 12-65 years. Results: A total number of 2,076 subjects were enrolled for final analysis. The mean age of the subjects at the time of the study was 36.27 ± 14.56 years (age range 12-65 years). The 1-year prevalence of migraine was 27.6%. The prevalence of migraine among female subjects was significantly higher than among male subjects (36.7 vs. 21.6%, p < 0.001). The mean age of the subjects with migraine was 35.9 ± 12.96 years. Totally, 49.9% of migraine sufferers experienced at least one episode of aura. The most prevalent type of aura was numbness reported in 32.4% of migraine subjects. Conclusions: Despite the higher prevalence of migraine among Iranian general population compared to most of the other populations investigated by previous studies, these individuals experience a less severe course of disease.

  Las medidas extraordinarias tomadas por España para hacer frente a la crisis sanitaria de la COVID-19 obligaron a los centros educativos a trasladar su actividad docente presencial a una modalidad on-line. Los docentes de Educación Física (EF) se enfrentaron al reto de adaptar las competencias y contenidos de una asignatura principalmente práctica y con un importante componente socioafectivo a una educación remota, basada fundamentalmente en medios digitales. No obstante, esta adaptación es mucho más compleja en las zonas más desfavorecidas o rurales en donde muchos alumnos tienen un importante sesgo digital: o bien no tienen acceso a Internet, o no han adquirido las competencias oportunas para su uso. El propósito del presente estudio de caso retrospectivo es exponer los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje y las estrategias didácticas que los maestros de un Colegio Rural Agrupado (CRA) de La Alcarria Conquense llevaron a cabo durante el confinamiento del curso académico 2019-2020. De esta forma, en primer lugar, se analizan las herramientas empleadas para la comunicación entre maestros y familias incluyendo tanto vías convencionales como digitales, los proyectos especiales y recursos movilizados, así como el proceso de evaluación durante el cese de actividad docente presencial. A continuación, se describe la respuesta observada por toda la comunidad educativa del colegio ante esta nueva situación. De manera general, se ha observado un sólido compromiso de los alumnos y familias en las actividades de las clases de EF. Finalmente, se plantean posibles acciones para los siguientes cursos académicos, supeditado por la situación sociosanitaria que se presente.  Abstract. The extraordinary measures taken by Spain to address the COVID-19 health crisis forced schools to move their face-to-face teaching activity to an on-line mode. Physical Education (PE) teachers faced a new challenge: to adapt the contents of the subject, mainly practical and social to a virtual education, based mainly on digital resources. However, this adaptation can be much more complex in the most disadvantaged or rural areas where many students have a significant digital bias: either they do not have access to the Internet, or they do not have acquired adequate competences for its use. Therefore, the purpose of this retrospective case study is to present the teaching-learning processes and pedagogical strategies that the teachers of a rural (grouped) school of La Alcarria Conquense carried out during the lockdown of the 2019-2020 academic course. In this way, first of all, the tools and media used for communication between teachers and families, the special projects and resources mobilized, as well as the evaluation process during the cessation of face-to-face teaching activities are analyzed. Next, the main response observed by the entire school community to this new situation were described. In general terms, a solid commitment of students and families to the activities and challenges proposed in the EF classes has been observed. Finally, possible actions for the next academic year are proposed depending on the social and health situation that may arise.

    La situación sanitaria actual ha obstaculizado muchos procesos formativos de modalidad presencial impactando en las Prácticas de Síntesis Profesional (PSP), provocando que estudiantes finalicen su Proceso Formativo (PF) en la virtualidad. La investigación tuvo como objetivo conocer la percepción de estudiantes de Educación Física (EF) frente a la Práctica Virtual de Síntesis Profesional. La metodología tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo y la recolección de los datos fue a través de una encuesta de tipo descriptiva, aplicada a 47 egresados de EF de una universidad chilena durante el 2020. Se concluye que los egresados se encontraban preparados para los cambios que se presentaron durante la crisis sanitaria, aceptando la situación dada este año y adaptándose a ella, la cual debe considerarse como una oportunidad de innovación de la asignatura. Abstract .The current health situation has hampered many face-to-face training processes, affecting Professional Synthesis Practices (PSP) and causing students to complete their Training Process (TP) in virtually. The objective of the investigation was to know the perception of students regarding the Virtual Practice of Professional Synthesis. The methodology had a quantitative approach and the data was collected through a descriptive survey, applied to 47 Physical Education (PE) teachers who graduated from a Chilean university during 2020. It is concluded that the graduates were prepared to the changes that occurred during the health crisis, accepting the situation given this year and adapting to it, which should be considered as an opportunity for innovation in the subject.
