ABSTRAK Tidak adanya buku petunjuk praktikum yang jelas dapat menyulitkan siswa dalam pelaksanaan praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan petunjuk praktikum biologi berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi sistem pencernaan kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar praktikum. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan 4-D yang dimodifikasi meliputi tahap pendefiinisian (Define), perancangan (Design), dan pengembangan (Develop). Berdasarkan penilaian para ahli, nilai kevalidan hasil validasi ahli materi sebesar 3,87 artinya memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, ahli tampilan sebesar 4 memenuhi ktiteria kevalidan, dan ahli bahasa sebesar 3,6 kriteria valid sehingga petunjuk praktikum layak untuk digunakan. Nilai kepraktisan berdasarkan penilaian angket respon yang diberikan kepada siswa sebesar 82,291% pada uji coba awal dan pada uji coba utama respon yang diberikan oleh siswa sebesar 85,18% sehingga memberikan respon positif terhadap penggunaan petunjuk praktikum yang telah direvisi pada kegiatan praktikum biologi materi sistem pencernaan. Nilai keefektifan berdasarkan perbedaan nilai pretest dan posttest pada saat uji coba utama, 0,61 dengan kategori sedang.Kata Kunci: Inkuiri Terbimbing, Petunjuk Praktikum, Sistem Pencernaan ABSTRACTThe unavalability of the standardized lab instruction leads to the students’ problem in conducting lab activities. This study aimed at developing the guided- inquiry laboratory instruction in ‘Digestive System’ class at XI grade class of SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak. The development model used in this study was 4D model (Define, Design, Develop). The results of the validation experts (content, language, appereance) showed that the material /the content score was 3,87 which means that the product was valid, the material appereance was 4 (valid), and the language use was 3,6 (valid). Therefore, the lab instruction was considered proper to be used. The result of the questionnaire revealed that the respondents gave positive response to the validated product. It can be seen from the practicality score at the first (82,291%) and the second try out (85,18%). Similarly,the effectiveness score based on the main try out of pre and post tests was 0,61 (average category).Keywords: guided inquiry, lab instruction/manual, digestive system

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to make the learning device based on guided inquiry in science learning and affectivities to improve students’ critical thinking skills and to examine its validity, effectiveness, and practicability. This research adapts Borg & Gall Research and Development and modification. The instruments of the research were instrument validation results, practicality, and effectiveness. Data were collected by employing a validation sheet that was validated by the assessor to gain validation and practicality scores, the student's positive response questionnaire and learning result test sheet were full filled-in by the students, and the observation sheet was full filled-in by the observer. The average score of total validity is in the score range of 2.6<SV≤3.5 and is an invalid category. The result of practicality research of learning devices based on practicality questionnaire the range of 3.5-4.0 and is in a very practice category. The result of effectiveness based on learning result test showed that 75 % of the students are completely based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the learning device based on guided inquiry is valid, practical, and effective that is feasible to be used in a learning activity in the classroom.Keywords: Development Research; Guided Inquiry; Critical Thinking Skill

This is a development research that aims to evolve a learning instruments discovery learning model  based on the SKKNI on volumetric analysis subject that are valid, practical, and effective. The development model used in this study refers to the 4D, which consists of the defining, design, development, and dissemination. The learning instruments developed are RPP, LKPD, Student Learning Materials, and THB. The SKKNI-based discovery learning model volumetric learning device that was developed was then validated by two experts. After validation, a learning device trial is then conducted at the SMK-SMAK Makassar in class XI E with a total of 35 students. The results of the study indicate that the SKKNI-based discovery learning model developed after being validated was very accurate (V = 3.75). The learning device is stated to be practical because the practicality test related to: (1) the implementation of the learning device is in the fully implemented category (M = 1.86) included in the category (1.5 ≤ M ≤ 2.0), (2) the teacher gave a very positive response with a percentage of 93.49%, and (3) the students gave a very positive response with a percentage of 91.93%. This learning device also meets the effectiveness criteria, which are reviewed through learning outcomes with a classical percentage of completeness 94.00%. Therefore, the results of the study indicate that the developed learning device products meet valid, practical, and effective criteria.

Research on the use of audio-visual media in schools is done because in schools there are teachers who do not use practice-based learning media even though the material is practicum. Audiovisual media students can see and hear directly the material that will be taught by the teacher. The development phase uses a 4D development model consisting of the stages of defining, designing, developing, and distributing. Audio visual-based learning media have fulfilled the validity criteria by obtaining an average score from all aspects of the validator's assessment, which is 3.65 which is in the very valid category after being revised twice, so it is feasible to use it based on expert judgment. Audio visual-based learning media has fulfilled the practical category because more than 80% of students give a positive response. The teacher's observation sheet also shows positive results.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development) yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang bersifat valid, praktis dan efektif. Pengembangan modul praktikum ini mengacu pada model pengembangan 4-D oleh thiagarajan yang meliputi tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebarluasan (disseminate). Modul praktikum ini telah melalui tahap validasi oleh validator ahli dan telah melalui uji coba terbatas, serta mengalami revisi oleh pengembang sehingga menghasilkan modul praktikum yang bersifat valid, praktis dan efektif. Hasil penelitian pengembangan modul praktikum ini adalah : 1) penilaian kevalidan ahli materi sebesar 3,65 dengan kategori sangat valid, hasil penilaian tampilan modul sebesar 3,68 juga memperoleh kategori sangat valid. 2) respon peserta didik dan guru juga memperoleh 83,14% dan 88,98% dengan kategori sangat tinggi sehingga modul praktikum dikatakan praktis; 3) pada tahap uji coba terbatas kepada 32 peserta didik kelas XI MIA di SMAN 5 Makassar memperoleh masing-masing rata-rata 87,50% yang berada pada kategori tinggi, sehingga modul praktikum dikatakan efektif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah modul praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang dikembangkan dengan model 4D bersifat valid, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. This experiment module has validated by expert, and had been tried limitedly, and revised by order to obtain avalid, practical and effective experiment module. The result of this study were: 1) Validation of the validity of the material expert was 3.65 with a very valid category, the module display evaluation was 3.68 which very valid category; 2) students and teachers responses received 83,14% and 88.98% which very high category, so experiment module could be said practical; 3) in phase of tried limitedly to 32 students of class XI MIA SMAN 5 Makassar obtained the average score of students learning result was 87,50% which was high category. Experiment module could be said effective. The conclusion of this research was experiment module based on guided inquiry developed by 4D model was valid, practical, and effective to use on learning. Abstract. This research is aimed to produce a Student Worksheet based Guided Inquiry on Digestive System material for class XI senior high school that is valid and practical. The type of this research is research and development (R & D). The development of this student worksheet used ADDIE models. The stages of ADDIE are Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate . The evaluation of this student worksheet is evaluated by two expert validators. The validity product of student worksheet based guided inquiry is obtained from expert validators with a validity score of 4,11 (valid). The practicality of the product is obtained from teachers response with a practicality score of 89.75 (very practical) and students response with a practicality score of 86.0075 (very practical). Based on the results, it can be concluded that the development of student worksheet based Guided Inquiry on Digestive System material for class XI senior high school is valid and practical. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan guided dan Structured Inquiry terhadap kemampuan penguasaan konsep dan scientific skill siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen menggunakan desain pretest posttest comparison group design. Sampel penelitian adalah dua kelas XI IPA yang diambil secara acak, satu kelas Guided Inquiry dan satu kelas Structured Inquiry. Data yang diambil berupa nilai penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan scientific skill. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji t. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan guided dan Structured Inquiry dapat meningkatakna penguasaan konsep siswa dengan perbedaan yang signifikan diantara keduanya. Nilai N-gain kemampuan penguasaan konsep pada kelas Guided Inquiry lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas Structured Inquiry yang artinya bahwa pendekatan Guided Inquiry lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa.Kata Kunci: pendekatan guided inquiry, pendekatan structured inquiry, penguasaan konsep, keterampilan scientific skill The Effect of Inquiry Learning Approach on the Mastery of Concepts and Scientific Skill of Digestive System AbstractThis research aims to reveal the effect of teaching by using the guided and Structured Inquiry approach on the ability of mastering concepts and scientific skill of Grade XI of SMAN 3 Yogyakarta. This research was quasi-experimental research conducted by using pretest-posttest comparison group design. The sample was two classes of grade XI majoring natural science established randomly, one Guided Inquiry class and one Structured Inquiry class. The data collected included the score of mastery of concepts and scientific skills t-test was used to analyze the data. The results of the study show that (1) teaching by using the Guided and Structured Inquiry approaches can improve students’ mastery of concepts and scientific skills with significant difference among both approaches. The score of N-gain mastery of concepts of the students in the Guided Inquiry class is higher than in Structured Inquiry class, which means that the Guided Inquiry approach is more effective in improving students’ mastery of concepts.Keywords: guided inquiry approach, structured inquiry approach, mastery of concepts, scientific skills

This research aimed to describe the teaching material’s feasibility of IPA based on scientific approach with guided inquiry learning model. This research had been done in three phases, that are creating the teaching material’s, validating and doing  revision, and verifying them at learning activity in class with one group pretest-posttest design. Techniques for collecting data was conducted through questionnaires, validation, observation, and test. Techniques for analyzing data used descriptive qualitative. The result of research showed that (1) the feasibility of teaching material’s based on scientific approach with guided inquiry learning model of IPA that consist of syllabus,  lesson plan, student book, student worksheet and  the learning outcome test gained 4.89; 4.72; 4.81; 4.79; and 4.51 respectively that are categorized as valid. (2) The implementation of this lesson plan at two meetings in VII-A and VII-B class is categorized as good with average minimal scores 4.00 and got 94% in minimal percentage of agreement aspect; (3) Working in a group was the most dominant student activity at two meetings at VII-A and VII-B classes with average frequency of two meetings, observed are 19 and 10 times (VII-A class), and 18 and 10 times (VII-B class); (4) The learning outcomes that can be analyzed by calculating classical masteries at the first and second meetings on multiple choice and essay are 95.5%; 100%; 91%; 95% (VII-A class); and 91%; 86%; 91%; and 91% (VII-B class) respectively, and (5) Students gave the positive response to the learning process using teaching material’s of IPA based on scientific approach with guided inquiry model with average score to be 3.3 (VII-A class) and 3.4 (VII-B class). Based on the result of the analyzed data, it can be concluded that the teaching material’s of IPA based on scientific approach with guided inquiry model which had been developed was feasible to be used. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA SMP berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu tahap mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran, tahap validasi dan revisi, dan tahap uji coba dalam pembelajaran di kelas dengan menggunakan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan angket, validasi, pengamatan, dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri dari silabus, RPP, buku siswa, LKS, dan tes hasil belajar masing-masing diperoleh hasil 4,89; 4,72; 4,81; 4,79; dan 4,51 dengan kriteria valid. (2) Keterlaksanaan RPP pada dua pertemuan di kelas VII-A dan VII-B mendapatkan kriteria baik dengan skor rata-rata minimal 4,00 dan rata-rata persentase kesepakatan antara dua pengamat minimal 94%; (3) Frekuensi aktivitas siswa yang paling dominan pada dua pertemuan di kelas VII-A dan VII-B adalah bekerja dalam kelompok dengan frekuensi pengamatan rata-rata pada kedua pertemuan berturut-turut 19 dan 10 kali (kelas VII-A), dan 18 dan 10 kali (kelas VII-B) (4) Hasil belajar siswa yang dilihat dari  ketuntasan klasikal pada pertemuan pertama dan kedua pada soal PG dan uraian berturut-turut sebesar 95,5%; 100%; 91%; 95% (kelas VII-A); dan 91%; 86%; 91%; dan 91% (kelas VII-B), dan (5) Respon positif siswa terhadap pembelajaran IPA berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan nilai rata-rata 3,3 (kelas VII-A) dan 3,4 (kelas VII-B). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing yang telah dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan.

This study aims to produce teaching materials based material reaction rate guided inquiry (learning cycle: the phase of exploration, discovery / establishment of the concept and application) in the form of a valid experiment worksheets and practical use in learning chemistry in SMA / MA. This type of research included in Research and Development (R & D). The development model used in this study is the four-D (4-D). The research instrument is the validation sheet and questionnaire. Data from the study consists of three aspects, namely, the validity, the practicalities and effectiveness of teaching materials. Data validity and practicalities processed using Cohen's Kappa formula, and the effectiveness of data using a percentage In this study is limited to the validity and practicalities. Validation of teaching materials from the aspect of content, language and graffiti and feasibility of construction. Data from the validator obtained an average score moment kappa was 0.87, and the results of practical analysis conducted with a limited test in MAN 3 Padang obtained an average score of 0.84 practicality value of 0.78 of teachers and students. From the analysis worksheets that showed 86 % of students working on critical questions and exercises contained in LKS experiments that have been made can be answered students. These results indicate that LKS guided inquiry-based experiments developed extremely valid and practical use in learning chemistry

This study aimed to determine the appropriateness of ARCS-based economic e-books on international trade material in the class XI IPS of Senior High School in terms of experts' assessments and students' responses to e-book products developed. This study used the Borg & Gall development model which was modified into 10 stages, namely: 1) research and information gathering; 2) planning; 3) early e-book product development; 4) initial trials; 5) revision I; 6) main trials; 7) revision II; 8) operational trials; 9) revision III; 10) dissemination. The research was conducted in class XI of Senior High School in Surakarta. Data collection methods in this study used validation sheets and questionnaire sheets which were analyzed descriptively. The results showed the feasibility of an economic e-book based on ARCS qualified "very feasible" for the media aspect with a percentage of 93,75% and the material aspect with a percentage of 88,09% according to experts, and linguist with a percentage of 100% and received a positive response from students with a percentage of 76,11%.
