This study describes the planning, implementation, and evaluation of industrial work practices in improving student competence and satisfaction of the industrial world as a working partner of a vocational school. The implementation of industrial work practices is in following the dual system education implementation guidelines. Management of industrial work practices from planning, implementation, and evaluation is still experiencing obstacles. The results of the satisfaction survey show that the competence of students is not in by the needs and work culture of the industry, school supervisors are not maximized in monitoring the development and progress of students in the industry, there are still many students who are not competent in operating computers, the industry assignments to students that are not in following the competence of expertise in their field so that the objectives in competency mapping have not been achieved. School supervisors have not completely informed about the involvement of the industrial world business world in the implementation of industrial work practices. Practical work provides additional knowledge and skills of students so that competency gaps in the mapping of competency skills can be minimized, but these competencies do not yet cover the entire competency gap. The implementation of work practice for 3 (three) months is quite effective, because with this duration students perform certain tasks repeatedly to improve student competence in completing assignments and maximum work results, however, it was still found that students were not responsive enough in other assignments given. The evaluation of industrial work practice management with the analysis that has been carried out so far is quite good, but the follow-up actions have not provided an improvement in the performance of the management team as a whole so that the mismatches keep recurring in the implementation of the next work practice.

The usability of health information technology (IT) is increasingly recognized as critically important to the development of systems that ensure patient safety and quality of care. The substantial complexity of organizations, work practice and physical environments within the healthcare sector influences the development and application of health IT. When health IT is introduced in local clinical work practices, potential patient safety hazards and insufficient support of work practices need to be examined. Qualitative methods, such as clinical simulation, may be used to evaluate new technology in correlation with the clinical context and to study the interaction between users, technology and work practice. Compared with the “classic” methods, such as heuristic inspection and usability testing, clinical simulation takes the clinical context into account. Clinical simulation can be useful in many processes in the human-centred design cycle. In the requirement specification, clinical simulation can be useful to analyze user requirements and work practice as well to evaluate requirements. In the design of health IT, clinical simulation can be used to evaluate clinical information systems and serve as common ground to help to achieve a shared understanding between various communities of practice. In a public procurement process, a clinical simulation-based assessment can help give insight into different solutions and how they support work practice. Before organizational implementation, clinical simulation is a very suitable means, by which to assess an application in connection with work practice.

The study was to develop a model of partnership management between the vocational high school (VHS) and the employment domain in the curriculum of industrial working practice under the activities of planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation in the vocational high schools of Banda Aceh. The study used the research and development method design with several phases that had been developed by Borg & Gall. The data type in the study was qualitative and quantitative. For the qualitative data analysis, the researcher used the interactive analysis that had been developed by Milles & Huberman. On the other hand, for the quantitative data analysis the researcher used a Likert-scale measure. The research subjects were vocational education practitioners and experts. The data gathering was conducted by means of documentation, observation, interview, and Delphi techniques; all of the methods were implemented until the researcher found the conceptual model. Then, the researcher involved the experts in the model testing by using the Delphi technique resulting in a hypothetical model from the conceptual to be used as the basis for developing the final model. Eventually, the researcher drew the following conclusion: (1) The partnership between the VHS and the employment domain had been pursued by all of the vocational high schools in the City of Banda Aceh but there had not been any clear and integrated model of partnership management; and (2) the researcher generated a model development of partnership management between the VHS and the employment domain in the curriculum of industrial working practice clearly, practically, and effectively.

This study aims to analyze the contribution of industrial work practice and academic ability towards students' perceptions of readiness to enter the world of work in class III of the Office Administration Department of SMKN 1 Jambi. This study used a quantitative method with a sample size of 84 respondents. The research data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to students, then were analyzed by inferential statistics using simple regression and multiple regression data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it was known that the contribution of X1 to Y was 22.7% with the regression equation Y = 50.962 + 0.942 X, which means that there was a positive effect of X1 on Y. Furthermore, the contribution of X2 to Y was 32.8% with the regression equation Y = 46.074 + 0.867 X, which means that X2 had a positive effect on Y. Then, the contribution of X1 and X2 to Y was 42.4% with the regression equation Y = 29.026 + 0.691 X1 + 0.727 X2. This means that the effect of industrial work practices (X1) and academic ability (X2) together (simultaneously) on readiness to enter the world of work (Y) was 42.4%, the remaining 57.6% was influenced by other factors. Thus, it can be concluded that industrial work practices and academic abilities contribute to students' perceptions of readiness to enter the world of work.
