In today’s higher education, the development of competencies based on the needs of the labour market, the role of practical training and the application of student-centred teaching methods are becoming more and more important. A particularly important question in engineering education is which abilities and skills are important for an engineer in a rapidly changing, information-based society. Therefore, in addition to hard skills, the development of soft skills also plays an important role. Our research was aimed at mapping the competencies of engineering informatics students and determining development opportunities. The Hungarian version of the Big Five Questionnaire (BFQ) was used to examine the students’ personalities. The results of the research showed that the students’ soft skills must be developed – especially in the areas of openness, communication and cooperation. Students’ personality development can be facilitated by courses that focus on self-knowledge and self-esteem, as well as opportunities for cooperation, adaptation, building trust, empathy, and helpfulness. Cooperative methods, collaborative learning, the project method and problem-based learning can also play an important role in higher education.

To be able to learn something well, we need to hear, see, ask questions about it, and discuss it with others. Not only that, teachers need to "do", which describe something in their own way, showing for example, tried to practice skills and tasks that require p What Knowledge they have earned. Problems to be studied in this research are: a) How improve learning outcomes Islamic cultural history through smart method in class XI sheets MTsN Tarusan in July 2016? b) The steps made in improving the learning outcomes of students of Islamic cultural history? This research is a Class Action Research (PTK), as for the steps to be performed in this PTK model developed by Kurt Lewin as mentioned in Dikdasmen (2003: 18) that the stages or so-called cycle (round) consists of four components which cover : (A) planning, (b) action / acting, (c) observation, (d) reflection. Based on The results of learning activities that have been conducted during the study, and based on all the discussion and analysis that has been done can be summed up as follows: Learning with smart method sheets in Islamic cultural history lesson positively in improving student achievement that is marked by a mastery learning students in learning, namely (97.29%). Application of the method school library media on learning history of Islam have a positive effect, which can increase students' motivation is indicated by an average of 8 0 and from interviews stating that students are interested and interested deng a n cooperative methods Learning the history of Islamic culture so that they become motivated to learn.

The current era is witnessing a proliferation of challenges of a transnational character that do not recognize the geographical limits of sovereign States, such as human traficking and pollution. Therefore, States have to establish new regional cooperative methods to find effective solutions for these challenges. Although the Maghreb States (i.e. Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia) have been suffering from the negative impacts of such challenges over the last few decades, they have not yet created an effective regional cooperative framework. In this respect, since its establishment in 1989 among the Maghreb States, the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU, Union) has not been successful in stimulating Maghreb regional integration. The current study addresses a topic that has not yet been fully exploited by legal studies in the English language. It examines, first, the genesis and institutional structure of the AMU as well as the constitutional aspects of the 1989 AMU Treaty; second, the role of the EU’s multilateral and bilateral instruments in promoting Maghreb regional integration; and third, the dispute on Western Sahara between Morocco and the Polisario Front and its effect on Maghreb regional integration. The article concludes that Maghreb regional integration has so far failed due to the institutional and constitutional limits of the AMU Treaty and the political division among the Maghreb States resulting from the Western Sahara conflict. In addition, the EU so far has not followed a consistent and single approach in promoting the Maghreb integration nor did it play any role in solving the dispute on Western Sahara.

This chapter presents a Basic Organization Structure (BOS) model for building the large and complex distributed cooperative information system in large mutual networks. It argues that a large and complex cooperative information system and its subsystems in a LAN can be modeled by multi-agent organization and basic organization respectively. With the BOS model, such a cooperative information system can be developed easily and it is more manageable, effectively supporting the complicated cooperative methods under uncertain conditions. BOS is mainly used to support the cooperative problem solving among the coarse-grained, loosely coupled, and groups of semiautonomous agents. The essential characteristics, knowledge representations, and computational models of the BOS model are illuminated in this chapter. As an application example, we use the BOS model to realize the distributed Assumption-based Cooperative Problem Solving (ACPS) in the Distributed Traveling Information Management System prototype.

Over the years there has been a continuing trend toward unification of both the annually printed volumes of ephemerides and the fundamental bases for the ephemerides. Thus, from many completely independent national and private publications, which were based on a multitude of theories, there has developed a continually improving agreement on accurate astronomical constants, planetary, lunar and satellite theories and cooperative methods of printing the annual ephemerides in different languages. This trend is continuing, currently, with the adoption of a new system of astronomical constants in 1976, consideration of revisions of nutation, the planned revision of the A.E. (American Ephemeris and Astronomical Ephemeris) for 1981, and the expected introduction in 1984 of new fundamental planetary and lunar ephemerides based on the new constants and on the FK5. Currently the differences between the printed ephemerides and observations sytematically exceed 2″ for Mars at some times and 6″. for Neptune at all times. It is anticipated that a new set of fundamental theories will be introduced which will be based on a consistent set of astronomical constants and in agreement with the available observational data to the printed accuracy.

AbstractThe implementation of cooperative learning methods remains disparate in primary schools despite their widely recognised benefits. To explain this paradox, we first examined whether teachers’ inclination towards cooperative methods is motivated by their values. Second, we tested whether motivational connections between personal values and cooperative methods are undermined when conflictual values are activated in context. Study 1 demonstrated that pre-service teachers strongly endorsed self-transcendence (ST) values (expressing compatible motivations with cooperation) relative to self-enhancement (SE) values (expressing conflictual motivations with cooperation). Adherence to ST values was also positively associated with their beliefs and attitudes regarding cooperative methods. In Studies 2, 3 and 4, educational sciences students were experimentally exposed to different contexts, wherein ST, SE or neutral values were promoted. Our findings indicate that when SE values were emphasised in the context, the positive association between ST values and beliefs/attitudes regarding cooperative methods disappeared. Although the results of Study 4 regarding the intention to use cooperative methods were not statistically significant, the pattern was similar. Finally, Study 5 showed that primary school teachers’ ST values positively predicted the self-reported use of cooperative methods when they perceived their school to weakly endorse SE values, but not when they perceived it to strongly endorse them.

In the teaching and learning process of Social Sciences, many problems are carried out by the teacher. One of them is some students still rely on their teacher's activities in learning, so the role of students is still very lacking. Even thought, the teacher always involving students to play an active in learning process. In contrary, students assume that the subject of Social Sciences is very boring. So that this causes a low quality of learning in Social Sciences, especially in  SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak. This cases has tickled the writer to take the theme of research on picture and picture cooperative methods to improve the quality of learning and increase the interest and activity of students in teaching and learning activities in Social Sciences. As for the techniques used of data collection is through observation by teachers and collaborators. The research involved two cycles of 42 students. While the data analysis used description with percentage techniques. Furthermore the level of activity of students and teachers is expressed in the category of "very good", "good" or "moderate", while the success of using picture and picture cooperative methods is stated as "successful", "less successful", or "unsuccessful".The results of this reseacrh with picture and picture cooperative methods have been successful, which is showing indicated by an increase in student activity of learning because it has reached the specified criteria is 81% of students are actively involved, while teacher activities reach 86.53%, as well as student learning outcomes with a value of 78.57, where this shows that it is exceeding the KKM value of 72, with a percentage of completeness of 76%, which has exceeded the criteria of 75%.
